Please smile, my ears are bleeding. Honestly, I'm stoked about this collection of tracks mentioned above.
edit: The compilation features four songs, one of which has been remixed six different times.😁 I can't help but draw a parallel between this album and William Basinski...
honestly, I wasn't even feeling the Chelsea concert enough to bother was at the Madison Square Garden show the day before and it just totally wiped me out so now I'm reading you guys were literally 15 minutes away from me yesterday :finger: unbelievable...
the people I actually talked into coming bailed an hour before the show started, and then I didn't even have the energy to go solo I was just gonna finish watching the NASCAR race and wander off upstairs... ...
whatever, I guess I just missed out on why everyone's hyped. 😁 after all this time, I'm genuinely curious what they're actually gonna serve us with this new record. and that whole thing with a singer? doesn't fit them at all. [I don't care. I want that Cinematik sound. Period. That's it.] Honestly, I can't even remember if I've ever heard a male vocal paired with Cinematik... sure, there's that killer track "all things to all men" with Roots Manuv... but that's Roots Manuv... different vibe entirely. Feels like we're basically back in 2007
The nasal spray helps for maybe half an hour, then everything just gets clogged up again. Then I’m forced to breathe through my mouth, which makes my throat kill me. Blowing my nose doesn't do anything either. It's honestly miserable... any advice?
Lost on some weird backroads, ended up settling in Detroit this past Friday. Didn't go there to promote the new French brand or whatever, just went for the booze. It was a hell of a time 😁
Look, I know I totally trashed myself and acted like a complete idiot at Coachella last year
but why would I even bother trying to get them back... I'll probably just pick up a few things while I'm out anyway.. They're actually pretty solid for live cuts.
Saw this maybe a month or two ago on some streaming site one Sunday afternoon
Since my folks were hovering over me and I couldn't get any peace on a Sunday, I just ended up eavesdropping on some pretty hilarious bits of the movie
It’s got that 60s-70s modernist vibe. All about the machine. Some guy is looking for someone in an office building [scene I vaguely recall]. He jumps in an elevator, and then some guy who might be important to him steps out. He hits the box office, wanders through the crowd, loops back, leaves... it’s like he's at some kind of trade show where some dude keeps slamming doors. But the doors are weirdly quiet... you can bang on them and nothing happens. Then he sits at a desk and walks off... I don't remember the exact sequence...
Anyone recognize this?? Felt like a really interesting parody of modernism... all that stuff about brutality and machines...
honestly, I'm just not really feeling them anymore. they used to be great—super smooth, hit all the right notes. but time moves on, you find better, more lush music... so why even bother wasting time on...

Word on the street is 😁 Bright Eyes is totally sold out at Madison Square Garden this Friday. Looks like we'll be standing outside the arena holding up signs: "We just want tickets" 😁

Oh no! I picked up that tape from a buddy who just flew back from Canada... grabbed some rare Nirvana tracks off him too [D7 is king], but my mom—with her lightning speed and "expert" precision—tossed them straight in the trash. We could totally run an authenticity check 😁 by comparing the cassette to the MP3 😁 haha... looks like I'll be heading down to the coast soon. My friend just got back from NYC to the coast, so I'll probably head down there eventually. Heh heh
Honestly, the cassette version sounds way better with The Cure than the CD does. It’s got that muffled, distant vibe—lacking the highs—but it just hits right. Feels nostalgic. Out of all my tapes, I still hang onto a few from my exes. *The Cure in Orange* is a classic. 😁That bit about the summing is spot on.
As for the track of the week... TOM WAITS - jockey full of bourbon I think it's time I actually dive into Waits. They really should've brought in Jarmusch for this... whatever. It's good though.
