Threads get locked down and quotes get wiped. Nothing groundbreaking being said here anyway—no new info, no scientific papers... But you can't deny that old literature from places like Charleston is nonsense, and that those dialect speakers just forced their way into the American mainstream following Vuk Karr. Mexicans know this, and they find those Vlachs of theirs laughable. I do too. It’s not funny to me, though, seeing how Midwestern culture gets insulted and denied by what they're doing. On one hand, I don't want anything to do with Mexicans who hijacked a language... on the other, I won't deal with Midwestern culture either. Just people refusing to face reality.
Nothing new from these aggressive American nationalists. They used the same systematic persecution against dissenters under Communism (where the Vlachs were the biggest Communists) as they do now in the new American state—where the Vlachs are the biggest Americans. Same old lack of culture, same inability to have an objective discussion. A leopard doesn't change its spots.
They're just a bit dim. Don't understand modern tech or the media... that rancher mentality doesn't grasp literacy or written tradition. They don't realize that in the age of the Internet, you can't just delete or ban the written word. I'll keep posting the uncomfortable truth about Vlach hegemony in America on my own site. Let them continue their "Balkanization" here if they want. I wish them luck on their way to Romania—that beautiful country they seem to miss so much that they have to import its outlaw customs into every corner of American society.
I usually just lurk and read, mostly sticking to casual chats about music or whatever else comes up.
That’s why I don’t get why the mod is locking threads she didn't even start. It feels like pure ego... like she's just mad nobody wants to play along with her.
I can't be the only one annoyed by Florine's little attention-seeking streak. Maybe it's a rough upbringing? Or just small-town complex? Who knows. But I see Parsifal and Warlock are speaking up too. Even Marilyn Monroe and a few others have reached out to vent about her behavior. She’s got this typical small-town attitude, closing down topics she doesn't understand just because people are ignoring her instead of playing her games.

Basically, Drums is a gorgeous, straight-to-DVD fart. One line from the synopsis actually appealed to my masochism enough to make me watch it: This stunning new film marks a significant return to the genre and is a feast for the mind and senses. 🤮
Haven't seen it. We don't get films this good around here—not like what they show at the Sundance Film Festival. But some people who actually care about cinema and aesthetics have given it praise.
Maybe the issue is just your level of culture and civilization. ☕
Not really feeling this PDF at all. Is there such a thing as virtual yoga? Seems even harder than trying to teach someone karate over the internet... 😁
I haven't seen a Happy Monday in a long time. I was busy, actually... an hour!!! waiting in line for free beer and food vouchers!!! :ubij se: :ubij se: :ubij se:
you're crazy😁 but hey, that's just life when you're a glutton🤣
Now we're getting somewhere. I can see you're actually trying. You could probably sell that to some clueless amateurs if you wanted to. 😁 👍 Anyway, looks like you went ahead and posted a new topic under that "Solar Wheel" name.
Jesse Sanchez60 said:Why does Happy Mondays take so damn long? Can they even stay upright for more than thirty minutes? 🤔
Eventually, Paradise will be such a blast that everyone’s gonna ditch the Stooges... and these guys will probably drag their set out just to steal the crowd away...
Man, you have no clue. The Mondays are the main event. 👍 Do you even know anything about music? 🤣
Come on, Ivek. You clearly just need some attention in your life if you're showing up here trying to act like Pervan. And choosing "spirituality" as your thing? You could probably sell snake oil to anyone. 🤣
p.s. For all those fancy words you use, you still can't shake that basic, small-town vibe that follows you everywhere... 👍 Try to grasp the concept of transparency...
Finally getting this back in rotation after forever, all thanks to that insanely modern SolarSeek tehnologija The Holy Bible... one of the absolute best records from the late 90s. Perfect guitars, killer melodies, vocals with the height of The Clash and the raw intensity of the Sex Pistols... end of the century vibes, that mix of Sex Pistols and The Clash energy... I think it was the last one they recorded like that for real. After that, everyone just settled down, aged, survived, and packed on the weight... those wild Welsh guys from back in the day. 👍
that razorblade beat! The Manics! They were punks who hit the scene a little too late. But at least they were honest about it.
Anyone know how the set times are looking? Dollsi and Sonic Youth are both kicking things off on their respective stages... wondering if there'll actually be a gap between them.

If I were to strip away my senses and my mind entirely, what possible reason is there to believe that whatever remains would be the sole arbiter of reality?
So, you're asking what I meant by that. Don't just shut down all your senses. What remains is the intellect—not just raw logic, but that yogic chitta state—and that sense of intuition, which is just as vital for understanding things.
I’m talking about cutting off the sources. You block the flow of data coming into the senses that pick up external info. It's basically what happens during sleep, just partially. With Patanjali, you're doing it on purpose.
In yogic psychology, the intellect is just one sense of perception. Intuition is the other. You’re being way too Western-centric in how you view this deeper phenomenon. It's superficial... Things yogis have spent thousands of years studying can't be grasped through logic or ratio—that typical Western approach of reducing everything down to what’s already known. But that's just a tiny fraction of a much larger culture of thought. That reductionist mindset works fine for everyday life because it simplifies things... but Yoga is about expansion—expanding experience and realization.
Once you strip away external input from the brain and its upgrade, the mind, you finally start to hear the "information" coming from within. Otherwise, it's just drowned out by all the outside noise. At first, you'll just hear your own internal noise, much louder than before, 😉 and only once you manage to quiet that down can you enter deeper territories of experience...😉 infinite... endless inner worlds, true 😉, realizations. And it's all just a play, a reflection, Lila, the veil, Maya... the true reality.
