Look, you’ve got Tilke's overdesigned nonsense, you’ve got standard boring tracks, and then you’ve got Spa-Francorchamps—which is basically a holy holiday for anyone who actually loves Formula 1

cosmiccyclist8 said:Okay, but what kind of "progress" are we actually talking about here? Rivers shape their course over millions of years—unless some human factor steps in to create an artificial flow. It's the same thing with today's cars. Development isn't following some natural evolution; instead, every scrap of available knowledge is being squeezed out (within the rules, obviously) just to build faster, more aggressive machines.

That's why we end up with these ridiculous cars covered in all sorts of spoilers and wings... even though we all know a car could practically hit the track without a front or rear wing and still stay glued to the pavement. So why bother with the wings if they're essentially redundant? Plus, from a safety standpoint, it's kind of impractical—no matter how sturdy they claim these things are, pieces still break off or hang loose, which just leads to more chaos.

This is just one example, really; I could probably write a hundred pages on this. How can you call it progress when, throughout history, the cars have actually regressed to specs used a decade prior?

If the cars were becoming too risky and draining the drivers, then the move should have been to shrink the engine size while still allowing for maximum development.

You're totally off base regarding the whole river thing, but I think I get the gist of what you're getting at.
graniteharbor502 said:Look, you can sit there and whine all you want, honestly, just keep on barking if it makes you feel better, but at the end of the day, Vettel achieved things that your little idol is never, ever going to touch. 😍

Could you please explain what on earth your little rant has to do with the United Kingdom?

I don't see a link anywhere. 🤷
stormybadger8 said:So you're telling me that Ferrari is actually way better than Mercedes?
A car without KERS that’s focused on fuel saving is still 8.1 miles/h faster than the Mercedes in a drag race, so honestly, it scares the hell out of me how fast that thing would be if it didn't have all those issues😳

Just because it's faster in a straight line doesn't mean it's a better car. We've seen plenty of seasons where that turned out to be a total lie.
stormybadger8 said:What exactly is so funny about that?
All I see is the fact that there's a driver out there who, through sheer god-tier driving skill, can actually bump up the car's top speed on the straights...

And...?
Michael Diaz4 said:Look kid, you clearly have no idea who you're even talking to, so just stop the off-topic nonsense. You think you've got a point here, but since you obviously aren't an expert on the subject, you should probably just quit while you're ahead before you embarrass yourself any further... Honestly, go do some actual homework on Rosberg's old man—check out who actually passed away and look up his exact win count and the points margin he used to clinch that championship... At this rate, you'd probably call that infamous Didier Pironi a legend too... Ouch, wait, who am I even venting at right now... Just stay on track and stop drifting off-topic, it’s just not cool.

And you're lecturing him about staying on topic when you're out here doing the exact same thing 🙏
Michael Diaz4 said:🙂 I don't see how what you're rambling about even relates to this thread... Honestly, Vettel absolutely smoked Alonso, and he did it while driving a car that was clearly slower on the straightaways. He was closing the gap through the turns, which just proves that if you actually know how to handle a car in the corners instead of just mashing the gas pedal on a straight, you're a real driver—and clearly, Alonso is the inferior talent here because he couldn't hold his own when the technical stuff mattered...

🙂

🤣 🙏
graniteharbor502 said:man, you’re really stretching it there. Honestly, their actual reach barely went past where they started in the first place. Not
🤣

your whole point is just total nonsense
graniteharbor502 said:Ferrari had an absolutely killer race pace, but they basically just threw it all away during qualifying. It’s such a massive bummer that Kimi went off track, too. If he’d actually finished, we would have seen just how much heat that Ferrari could really pack

P9 is pretty much top tier

Go ahead and sue me, I'm just moving his thread over to this part of the forum.

Bravo. So Räikkönen is trash, and the big excuse is just that he doesn't feel like it? Honestly, give me a break. That is freaking hilarious.

If it wasn't funny, it would actually be pretty pathetic.

I was quoting jadeseal7.
swifttiger75 said:I'm just sitting here scratching my head over why this guy has been faster for the last five years.

What part of that isn't clicking for you?

Or are you just trolling at this point?
stormybadger8 said:Aside from the tiny detail that the Ferrari is actually a better car than the Red Bull...
You’re totally ignoring the fact that Kimi is in a complete meltdown and Ferrari is realistically just the second-best team in terms of raw power 😁

🤣

I mean, even Vettel is better than Richard, right? 🤣

I honestly refuse to believe you actually mean what you wrote. Just admit you're trolling so we don't have to spend all this time laughing at you.
swifttiger75 said:Oh, absolutely incomparable...
And when they ended up bickering in a duo at the end... priceless. Sure, the Maestro gets beaten routinely just like every other year, but the orchestra of his fans keeps playing, the Maestro keeps conducting, and Ferrari is sinking like the Titanic.

Well, things will look up eventually...

Jason Campbell70 said:In a half-broken car, against a machine that's two seconds faster and running tires that are nine laps fresher, using DRS and hitting some kind of 9.3 miles mph higher speed on the straight.

Yeah— routinely beaten, if you want to call it that.

You guys hit the nail on the head. But you're all just latching onto a troll post.

swifttiger75 said:Well, since Alonso is the better driver, I mean, what part of that isn't crystal clear! ☕

We've known that for ages.

stormybadger8 said:Why just "semi-accurate"?
Doesn't it sound way better if we say it's missing a few screws worth of cash, has a busted suspension, no engine, no battery, no wheels, no brakes, and basically everything else 😍

We seriously need to start including the World Champion title in the stories immediately🤣
If nothing else, at least then the Maestro would actually have ten titles under his belt😁

Alright, take a breath, Tibijef. Honestly, I’d be losing my mind too if some rookie on the crew kept tearing down and rebuilding my favorite driver over and over again.

Seven times straight.

But look, let's try to keep some dignity here instead of just posting nonsense.

Everyone saw it yesterday—Fernando was clearly better than Sebastian Vettel. In a head-to-head fight.

A faster car, DRS, and fresher tires. And he was grinding through it for about ten laps on a track that isn't even Monaco.

Let's be real for once. ☕
Jason Campbell70 said:Seriously, darkmarlin16 is spot on here.

Anyway, did you actually sit down and build that chart by hand?

Which chart are we even talking about?
Jason Campbell70 said:Is Mlaen actually going to drop some appropriately pathetic little article with an equally dramatic headline?

Nah, not happening. The site's completely dead. ☕
Tyler Bennett5 said:Honestly, it’s such a blast just sitting back and watching everyone lose their minds over some
battle for 5th or 6th place. If you actually get that, then you're on my level, because man, what a rush
when the driver or the team you're pulling for actually manages to snag a 5th or 6th place finish. Just look at how
I've been feeling about it for the last decade or so.
It genuinely made my day today seeing just how easy Williams was on those tires.
Back when we were in Austria, tire deg was a total nightmare, but today? Hardly even an issue. It just goes to show
the crew actually knows which way to take the car's development and that all this work is finally paying off.

Right now, Williams is basically the second strongest squad on the grid. Massa has had nothing but terrible luck lately, but hey, maybe his streak will finally break. Honestly, they might even start breathing down Red Bull's neck for that 2nd spot in the constructors' standings. ☕
neonpuma7 said:I'm telling you, Lewis is going to cruise to a win tomorrow because his race pace is just on another level, period. He couldn't get past Barbie in Monaco, then in Canada, he was stuck in that filthy, blistering hot air trailing behind Barbie which absolutely cooked his brakes, and in Austria he was just way too far back to make anything happen. Plus, at Silverstone, you can actually overtake, so for me, the whole thing is a done deal.

I'm so certain about this that I actually put $67🙂

You know how much respect I have for my fellow experts.

How much did you guys put up?
darkmarlin16 said:I’m basically just manifesting a win for Lujo, a podium for both the Maestro and Hulk, and hoping Nico Rosberg just calls it quits mid-race.

2/4

Not bad at all.
darkmarlin16 said:Nine laps of fresher rubber, the DRS advantage, and a significantly faster car—it’s basically a layup at this point.

Look, we all saw it. And honestly, if you somehow managed to miss that, you probably need to go get your eyes checked immediately.

stormybadger8 said:So, you finally realized that your little golden boy got played at the start by Kimi Räikkönen and then absolutely gutted by Sebastian Vettel later on? About time. 😲
Man, I guess you finally saw the light too. 😲

I'm heading out to celebrate with a massive crowd of total nobodies.😁

🙂

But then you’ve got that specific breed of people who are just going to keep playing blind, honestly, instead of actually showing an ounce of dignity and just admitting they were wrong.
Fresh rubber, nine laps in, plus the DRS advantage and a much faster car on track.

We all saw it. If you didn't see it, you clearly weren't watching.
Drew Bennett68 said:Seriously?

Public Relations
I honestly think the big bosses at Red Bull were pulling the strings behind those statements from Fernando and Vettel.
