I mean, we're talking about a band that consistently lands Top 10 albums (they've even hit #1 here in the States), racked up a serious amount of Grammy nominations, and you see them popping up everywhere, not just on niche rock sites but across the entire music industry...
I can't get my CD tray to open. There’s absolutely nothing to press on the drive itself, and I don't see an option to eject it anywhere in my computer settings either. Please, someone help me out 🐔
Signature, things are getting a bit more interesting now that they're locking everything down 🙄 and now we have this reshuffling too. This subforum is turning into a massive bore; surely this isn't meant to be the blueprint for how Life for Two should actually look? 🤣
I just finished watching it, and man, it is visually stunning. The costume design is absolutely gorgeous, and that little girl? She’s incredible—just a powerhouse performance. Honestly, it’s a great movie. 👍
I honestly don't think I've ever stayed awake long enough to actually witness the end of 🤣 Blade Runner, 🤷 even though I’ve tried more times than I care to admit.
I have this nagging feeling it was actually a stage play—it felt like vila Matula was basically an Alan Ford production, though I can't quite recall if the rest of the cast was still in my memory.
David Edwards83 said:Ehm... am I really the only one who couldn't stand that movie? To me, it felt way TOO heavy on the stereotypes. The theme was just too broad and honestly pretty cliché—it didn't actually dive into any specific emotions, it just grabbed whatever low-hanging fruit felt right at the moment. It’s also just way TOO "feel-good" for its own good (like, the soldiers playing soccer because, heaven forbid, Salvatores doesn't make movies for the "common man" and his little passions). Plus, the occupiers are somehow universally embraced, and the soldiers end up finding themselves while they're stuck far from home 🙂
You're definitely one of those people who can't see the forest for the trees. The movie is good. 👍
I’m just going to vent here instead of starting a whole new thread. I finally picked up that Firefighter Sem DVD for my kid, and I was all set—singing along to the theme song, "There's nothing Firefighter Sem can't handle, fearless Sem is..." and then suddenly 😱😱😱the song is gone. It’s a different track entirely. The synchronization is totally off, everything is messed up. Why on earth do they do this? Whyyyyy🙂🙂 just total idiots 🙂

Whether it's the description of her knees or that phase where she's transitioning from a girl into a young woman—how her body changes and she becomes someone else entirely... I remember going back to those passages several times just to soak them in. The movie is visually striking in its own way, sure, but it doesn't offer what the book provides.
For me, it was all about those wild descriptions of the mother—that lush, blonde presence, etc. It’s funny because when she’s trying to seduce him, she’s basically every man's dream, yet he finds the whole thing repulsive. For a guy who looks like a total creep, he’s actually a genius.
