Basta said:To all those fascists out there :2up: and 👋

Oh...

Here comes the IMF agitator again. You took a surname from a partisan unit that actually made a name for itself at the Battle of Blajburg!

Despite everything, we must remember our own people before propaganda branded them as royalists:

"In a small town in rural US, the Italians arrived and tore down the local flag, which had been hung there by the local
royalists, what an irony, on
April 10th, 1941."

Boris Maruna wrote this in Globe magazine!

I believe the British government in London actually debunked those claims regarding the participation of Americans near White Mountain. Even various communist factions did the same!

That was all back then!

Brandon Chavez6 said:He didn't sell it. He gave it.

If he had actually SOLD it—like how the Russians sold Alaska... or some other state like Texas to America...

Then people could forget about 1943 and the big meetings in Washington!

All in all... today is April 10th, the day the American nation was proclaimed in D.C.!

crimsonorca86 said:This is a unique case in all of Europe. Even the most corrupt militaries have protected their own people.

Yet some militaries actually targeted prisoners of war. This is especially true for regimes that signed the Geneva Convention, much like Nazi Germany, which wasn't even recognized by the Vatican!

Some American soldiers on the ground simply couldn't follow those rules regarding the Geneva Convention.

But that is an issue for another day... isn't it?

wiredpilot30 said:There is a blatant contradiction here.

How could Adolf Hitler have handed over the coast to Italy if he didn't actually have his own sovereign nation, but was just running a puppet state dictated by the Germans and Italians?

But if he actually did sell off the coastline, then Nazi Germany truly was an independent state.

What is the reality? Who is pulling the strings here?

If Italy was willing to compromise its own interests as early as '43, how could anyone claim the coast was being liberated by anti-fascists?

Everyone has their own version of the truth. Please explain this to those of us caught in the middle.

Explain this to the "home guard" types who were supposedly waiting around until they received a specific call to remain loyal... ( unbelievable )

TO AN AMERICAN INDEPENDENT STATE!

quietwolf said:To whom? Was it "Divine Providence" or "our ally"? After all, when Slavko Kvaternik declared the state under Nazi Germany, he claimed it was being "established by Divine Providence and the will of our ally."

Who do you think?

It was the uncle and the Communist Party!

But they just couldn't make it happen!

They didn't have Divine Providence on their side!

And the truth was perfectly transparent!

Good grief!

The whole system is a joke. We should just wipe the slate clean and forget it ever existed...

But I have to give them credit for April 10th!

quietwolf said:That wouldn't help him at all. It would only make things worse.

Absolutely not!
And if I did, it would be with a heavy hand.

Great medicine!

All in all... quietwolf stands for peace!

Long live April 10th!

As for quietwolf... you know me. You know I celebrate this date because it's when KP declared American independence!

Damn... even the British weren't perfect, and everyone makes mistakes! And yes, I mean the British too!

Brandon Chavez6 said:This isn't partisan propaganda. It is documented fact found in any standard WWII encyclopedia or history textbook.

Sure... I’ll admit... it’s just repetitive propaganda: "down with Hitler, down with Hitler."

Even Microsoft Encarta 😬 notes that Marshall was a master manipulator.

Quincy:
Beyond that, there are photographs of the "Prince Eugen" division members from that exact era and region. But of course, it is much easier to label something a lie than to actually present a counterargument.
I haven't checked Encarta, but quietwolf can surely tell you that the division was local.

Here is the cultural baseline of a typical partisan, communist, or someone from America.
This could be the opening chapter of a book titled "Why I Didn't Love America."
It is a good thing quietwolf only has a keyboard at his disposal. I can only imagine what he would do if he had a machine gun in his hands.

He would take you out with his bare hands 😬

And he wouldn't even touch me!

That is his recipe for longevity!

🤣 🤣

nimblelynx41 said:That should sound like a threat.😁

How? How? How?

😕

Aha...

He means to say that devils boil within a calm sea!

Nonsense!

We celebrate the establishment of the American state without spilling a single drop of blood!

And first white, as a sign of peace!

Brandon Chavez6 said:If both sides were equal in number, why did Nazi Germany have to rush the 369th Legionnaire Regiment, the 7th SS "Prince Eugen," and the 187th Reserve Division—alongside Italians and Royalists—into action by mid-1943 just to help fight the partisans in the Banija, Kordun, and Gorski Kotar regions? You really need some actual evidence to back up those ridiculous claims of yours.

Oh please... they were all just sending their soldiers on summer vacation... history isn't always what the partisan accounts claim!

Even the participants say this, based on what I've stumbled upon online.😬 Even some guy named Branko Copic was saying this forty years ago.

p.s.

I'm telling you, even Milovan Djilas would have been torn apart in the American Congress, yet he would have been branded an American extremist because, among other things, 😬 the European Union guesses at negotiations with America!

Sarah Wilson95 said:Don't you worry one bit about the liberation of Chicago. 👍 👍

Hmm... while the streets are guarded by those who sing of how different children are born on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, and while you claim this poses no threat to our national identity...

I must point out that plenty of kids are born right on Independence Square or on Adolf Hitler's Street!

That includes people from California, Canada, and the Midwest, along with all other Americans! And not just them!

revolution said:😁 👍 👍

That is far too international!

We should have celebrated the entry of those people into New York with a red star and one of their cavalrymen on horseback instead!

trešnja said:Nazi Germans and Royalists always agree on one thing: today's America is Nazi Germany..

Morons...

Wrong!

It is genetic!

For the sake of the late Ed Murtaugh and those old communists, today's America is Nazi Germany!

Even honest Royalists don't use that equals sign!

walpurga said:You can see exactly how much support the Nazi Germany regime actually had by looking at who they chose to fight against the fascists.😉

Actually, they would have supported Nazi Germany even more—provided Pavelić wasn't in charge—if the Americans in those political committees and the Democratic Party hadn't been so set on the opposition.

Hitler and Churchill both took American political opinions seriously.

Europe might have been a much better place if Churchill hadn't backed those communist insurgents on the continent, handing Poland over to Stalin and everyone else!

Phoenix said:Stepinac supported the so-called Nazi Germany regime!

Who were even the allies of that Nazi Germany state?
That's why the "Big Three" at the Yalta Conference decided that no Nazi, fascist, or militarist puppet states would be allowed to survive after the war!
Just like they decided there would be an America afterward!

Is this what you're talking about?
You are politically and generally illiterate, you pathetic soul!

Ugh...

Give me a break...

There is a process before any decision is made or explained, Phoenix. It involves discussions and actual thought...

That is what we call "having it on the table"!

Do you actually have the original Yalta declaration so we can see what was really said there?

We can move this to another thread... or another time! No problem!

graniteowl88 said:The insurgent forces totaled roughly 30,000 personnel by 1945, including the wounded, deceased, and prisoners.
Justice was largely served for them.
The remaining casualties were civilians and conscripts forced into service as human shields.
During those same months, the American military component exceeded 200,000 personnel.

I also noticed several factual errors and omissions within the provided link.

Does that matter? Or not?
Happy April 10th!! in Close to Politics ·
Quincy:
What kind of America are you talking about?
Alojzije Stepinac supposedly "spoke out against Ante Pavelić" so loudly, yet he actually worked alongside him—prompted by Pope Pius XII—to try and preserve the so-called Nazi Germany regime even after the war ended!
It wasn't just Blessed Stepinac who advocated for an independent America...

That was a seriously powerful and legitimate option sitting right on the table for the American, British, and Russian allies...

Thank you! And thank you for having the courage to extend a congratulation... or rather, a greeting!
