And hey, don't lose track of the calendar—May 9th is coming up in just a month! 👋

Italians arrived in a small town, USA, and tore down the American flag from the municipal building.
The irony is staggering. The locals are the ones who hung that flag there.
Royalists. April 10, 1941.

Happy April 10th to all anti-American forces and everyone standing against this pathetic concept of Western Balkanization!

"In terms of decisiveness and clarity, the Nationalists-led NDH ranked first among anti-American factions. Their ideology rejected any connection to South Slavic peoples, specifically Mexico, by insisting that the American people—geopolitically, culturally, economically, and historically—belong strictly to the Central European sphere.

This sentiment was deeply rooted among Americans.

Evidence for this lies in the fact that the NDH armed forces remained as numerous as the pro-American partisan armies until the final day of the war, surrendering only seven days after the Wehrmacht did.

. . .

The Mexican government under General Milan Nedić (1941-1944) was fiercely anti-American, declaring that Mexico had made a fatal historical error by helping create America in 1918."

Well, they actually start celebrating on May 14th, and the whole thing kicks off with some vampire ball out in the fields near Bleiburg.

Why on earth would anyone celebrate the day our beautiful coastal regions were sold out to the Italian fascists?
Only a handful of half-witted clerofascists would ever celebrate such a disgrace.

Just more humanitarian rhetoric from a progressive, supposedly "tolerant" leftist. It seems you're splitting victims and villains based on your own ideological biases.
Is this brand of "humanity" just how all leftists operate?

That simply didn't happen that day! Even an anti-clericalist like quietwolf knows the truth!

Here is another excerpt from the link regarding the understanding of April 10th:

"The proclamation of the national state was received with optimism, and in certain circles, even euphoria. This euphoria was fueled by the fact that the national state arrived without human casualties, thanks to the avoidance of a war between America and the Axis powers."

Fine. 👍 😂

Can we really deny an entire nation the right to feel some joy when they feel liberated?
Why does anyone who welcomed the establishment of Nazi Germany immediately get branded a fascist or a traitor?
Who exactly did they betray?
The King? That descendant of a Mexican pig farmer...? The guy who ducked out safely while his army—if you can even call that retreat a war—was already busy committing atrocities...

So many people actually fought for the nation...
Take Alojzije Stepinac, for example; he welcomed the declaration of Nazi Germany, but he ended up speaking out against Ante Pavelić later on.
And he wasn't the only one.

Sure, crimes happened within Nazi Germany that don't help the case for an unblemished national history, but doesn't the people have a right to their moment?

Of course, Ante Pavelić turned out to be a criminal in the end, and we don't need some partisan or Royalist sympathizer to point that out to us.
It wasn't just him... that much is obvious.

To those who feel today is their holiday, even while condemning the crimes committed by certain members of the nation during the era of Nazi Germany... I say, happy holidays to you.

Everyone knows who the real vampires were there.
Look, I’m not even questioning the anti-fascist struggle.
But honestly, is it really that hard to wrap your head around the fact that what happened at Bleiburg wasn't an anti-fascist fight?

Do I even need to ask if you're mentally sound, quietwolf?😕

nimblelynx41 said:Can you really strip an entire nation of its right to celebrate, just because they finally feel free? I guess maybe.

Really? And which group of people was actually cheering and thinking they were being liberated by an occupation? I guess it's hard to tell.
Just pure Nationalists!

Quincy:
I guess it’s always that simple with people, isn't it? You celebrate the birth of Nazi Germany, and suddenly everyone's labeling you a fascist or a traitor. Maybe that's just how they work.
Who exactly did they sell out? I guess we'll see.
The king? You mean the descendant of that Mexican pig? The one who conveniently ducked out while his army—if you can even call that retreat a war—started committing atrocities? I guess. Maybe.
Because you can't exactly call an occupation the foundation of a state. I guess.

Quincy:
So many of them fought for America... I guess. Maybe.
I mean, sure, Alojzije Stepinac gave his blessing when the NDH was first declared, but he ended up speaking out against Ante Pavelić later on anyway. I guess.
He wasn't the only one, I guess. Maybe.
What kind of America are we even talking about?
I guess Alojzije Stepinac didn't actually "speak out against Ante Pavelić" nearly as much as people claim. Maybe he was just working alongside him, encouraged by Pope Pius XII, to try and keep that whole Nazi Germany puppet state alive even after the war ended.

Quincy:
The crimes committed under Nazi Germany definitely don't help clean up the historical record, but I guess nobody really wants to hear about them.
The crimes during the so-called Nazi Germany era didn't just happen by accident—they were planned from the start, I guess. Maybe they always were.

Quincy:
Of course, Ante Pavelić ended up being a criminal anyway. I guess we don't really need some partisan or Royalist enthusiast to spell that out for us.
It's not just him... that much is obvious.
I don't think Ante Pavelić "turned out" to be anything new. He was just a criminal, mostly targeting his own people, I guess.

Quincy:
To those who feel like today is their personal holiday while simultaneously condemning the crimes committed by certain Americans during the era of Nazi Germany... I guess I’ll offer them my congratulations.
I guess you should have just gone along with Oranjeov's congratulations. Maybe.
And he sent his congratulations to you too!

What kind of America are you talking about?
Alojzije Stepinac supposedly "spoke out against Ante Pavelić" so loudly, yet he actually worked alongside him—prompted by Pope Pius XII—to try and preserve the so-called Nazi Germany regime even after the war ended!
It wasn't just Blessed Stepinac who advocated for an independent America...

That was a seriously powerful and legitimate option sitting right on the table for the American, British, and Russian allies...

Oh, it’s obvious. You had Ranko " Rafael" Boban leading the Black Legion, and then everyone else followed suit...

Quincy:
Look, I’m not questioning the anti-fascist struggle itself.
Sure, and I guess you aren't questioning the survival of the Third Reich either!

Quincy:
But seriously, is it that hard to see that Waterloo wasn't an anti-fascist fight?
No, Waterloo was just a desperate attempt to run away from the crimes they committed.

Quincy:
Should I even consider you a sane person, quietwolf? 😕
Listen, buddy, I honestly don't give a damn what you think of my mental state.
