Can you see the picture in this link? Well, instead of posting the link itself to the forum, maybe try right-clicking on the actual image and then selecting View Image. That should give you a new link up there which is the real one. Then, you just copy that link and paste it into Insert Image and you're all set.
I've scrolled through like a hundred different tutorials, but this was the only one that actually worked for me—thanks so much!!!
Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone here might have some insight on this. So, I’ve ended up in a pretty bad spot with my overdraft—basically stuck in the red because my monthly pay hasn't hit my account for three months straight. To make matters worse, the bank actually lowered my overdraft limit in the meantime... talk about bad timing, right? I already got one warning about it, and now a second one just landed on my desk. I should be getting my back pay in about twenty days, which will totally cover everything, but I’m feeling the squeeze right now. Does anyone know if there's any way to ask for an extension or a grace period on settling the debt? There is zero chance I can fix this in the few days I have left before things get even more stressful. My local branch people told me they couldn't help me out, which is super frustrating. Is there some other way to handle this? Like, maybe I could call the main office in New York City, send over a fax, or write a formal letter? Any advice would be huge. Thanks!

First off, I have to ask—has the little one seen a nephrologist yet?
I actually had a scintigraphy done myself once, and it showed that my right kidney is smaller than the left. Naturally, that means its function is a bit lower, but it wasn't enough to be genuinely concerning.
What might be a bit unsettling is when they report significantly lower separate clearance values for that smaller kidney, but since it’s notably smaller than the other side, I suspect that's actually quite normal—or at least acceptable—in these kinds of cases.
From what I can see here, the renal blood flow seems to be within the normal range, which suggests they are functioning reasonably well despite the size difference.
Look, I don't think there's any reason to panic, especially since most of this falls within the normal limits. That said, I'm certainly no doctor, and having a toddler of my own, I completely understand how stressful this must feel for you.
Do whatever you feel is best. If it will give you some peace of mind, maybe take them in for an earlier follow-up or just get a second opinion from your pediatrician first. Even if they aren't a specialist, they should be able to offer some guidance.
I'm wishing you guys the very best, and I truly hope the little one is doing okay! I'll be rooting for you, and if you don't mind, please let me know how the follow-up goes.
Hang in there, and good luck!!😘😘😘
Thanks for getting back to me. My little guy had a UTI, and we've been seeing a nephrologist regularly ever since. They noticed the right kidney was smaller from the start, which we figured might just be part of growing up, but on the last ultrasound, the difference was 1.2 cm. We were sent for a dynamic scintigraphy thinking—and hoping!—that it would just be another routine checkup in our long list of appointments and that the results would come back fine... but man, what a shock. Our doctor is back on Tuesday, so I'm calling her immediately. Everything I've managed to dig up online hasn't exactly inspired confidence either, because everywhere I look, it says that if the separate clearance value is under 30%, you need monitoring, extra testing, and you basically have to take it seriously. Honestly, I'm losing my mind just scrolling through the internet. Our pediatrician gave us a very "diplomatic" answer, which I totally understand, but still. I'm just praying it isn't something chronic and that there's a way to treat it.
Anyway, I'll let you know what our doctor says.
Best,
Can someone help me make sense of this dynamic renal scintigraphy?
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone here who knows their stuff could help me interpret these scan results. We have a follow-up appointment scheduled in about a month, but our doctor isn't in the office this week, so we can't really get a hold of them over the phone right now.
Total GFR = 26.5 ml/MIN
Right kidney = 28%
Left kidney = 72%
Tsr (min) = right = 4.8
left = 4.0
On the summation scintigram, both kidneys are visible. The right kidney shows up much paler with a patchy distribution of activity, and it looks significantly smaller than the left one.
The left kidney shows a relatively uniform distribution of activity, and its shape and size look totally normal for a patient of this age.
The computer-generated renogram curve for the left kidney is normal, whereas the right side sits at a much lower level—though secretion is still there, showing only mild issues with how it clears the radiotracer.
The total GFR value falls within the normal range, even though the individual clearance values for the right kidney are notably lower.
The average transit times for the DTP through both kidneys are within the normal limits.
Further evaluation and monitoring are recommended, with follow-ups at our facility as needed.
Obviously, I get the parts that are spelled out clearly, but what I’m really trying to figure out is: is this situation serious? Should I be rushing to call a specialist right away, or is it okay to just wait the month until our scheduled check-up?
We're talking about a little one, only about eighteen months old.
Best,
Hey, I’m back again—seriously, someone please save me if you can!
hey there
Hey there,
I was wondering if anyone here who’s actually somewhat familiar with this stuff could help me make sense of these renal scintigraphy results? We have a follow-up appointment scheduled in about a month, but our doctor is out this week so we can't get a hold of them over the phone.
Total GFR = 26.5 ml/MIN
Right kidney = 28%
Left kidney = 72%
Tsr(min) = right = 4.8
left = 4.0
On the summation scintigram, both kidneys are visible. The right kidney shows up a bit paler with an uneven distribution of activity, and it looks significantly smaller compared to the left one.
The left kidney shows a relatively even distribution of activity and seems to have a normal shape and size for someone of the patient's age.
The computer-generated renogram curve for the left kidney is normal, whereas the right one sits at a much lower level—though secretion is preserved, showing only mild issues with the elimination of the radioindicator.
The total GFR value falls within the normal range, even though the individual clearance values for the right kidney are notably lower.
The average transit times for DTP through both kidney lobes are within the normal limits.
Further evaluation and monitoring are recommended, with follow-ups at our facility as needed.
The parts that are clearly explained make sense to me, but what I’m really trying to figure out is whether this situation is serious. Should I be calling a doctor immediately, or is it okay to just wait the month until our scheduled check-up?
This is for my little one, who is only eighteen months old.
Best regards,
Honestly, I’m betting on an iron deficiency—it’s such a classic culprit for feeling like a zombie all the time. If there was actually something serious going on, those blood tests would have flagged it by now, right? Just hang in there with the migraines... and if it helps at all, my mom dealt with them too, and they tended to taper off as she got older. Even her doctor said it usually settles down eventually.
