Plus, it’s like 777 times cheaper than grabbing a little plastic bottle at the gas station.☕
Cheaper? Yeah, right! When I bought that bulk pack of bottled water, we basically polished off the whole thing in like three days. So now, I’ve just gone back to drinking from the tap. I mean, it's probably fine, right? Hopefully it's safe. 😁
Can anyone recommend a solid OB-GYN in Savannah? Also, I was wondering—is there a specific time of year when it’s easier to transfer medical records over to a new doctor's office?
So, after taking a break for about six months, I decided to start back up on Yasmin. Honestly, they’ve always been great for me!! I haven't really run into any issues with them in the past. The only thing is, I feel like my ovaries are hurting a bit more than usual lately. My period ended just two days ago, and I'm still feeling this lingering ache in my ovaries. I guess... could that maybe be caused by the Yasmin?!
I mean, could standard blood work actually flag the presence of cancer in the body, or is it a lost cause unless you’re looking specifically at tumor markers?
Laura Ruiz75 said:Hey girls, help a girl out. Does anyone here have actual experience with breast augmentation? I’m thinking about doing it, but I honestly have zero clue where to go, who the decent surgeons are, or what the damage to my bank account would be. I mean, I can read all the stuff online, but I really just want to hear from someone who’s actually been through the whole process.🙄😕
You should check out the women's corner; there's a thread under "implants" with tons of stories from girls who've done it.
Honestly, that sounds pretty standard. I went through the exact same thing. You wake up one morning with this crazy swollen nose, then by the evening it’s totally gone, followed by a few days of feeling fine, and then—bam—out of nowhere, the swelling is back again! It was the same deal with my lips, too; for the first month, I couldn't even laugh properly because everything felt so tight and weird. But eventually, it all settles down 👍
Maria Diaz79 said:For those of you who had surgery—did anyone have someone with them during the actual procedure, or did you just call them once everything was finished and they came to pick you up?
My boyfriend was there with me. He just hung out in the waiting room while I was under, and as soon as the surgery wrapped up—literally while I was still groggily waking up from the anesthesia—they let him right into my room.
Don't stress!! Everything is going to be totally fine! It’s honestly not nearly as scary as it seems. I'm crossing my fingers for you, stay brave!! You are going to be so incredibly happy with your new nose once it's all healed! 😍
Maria Diaz79 said:Apparently, you shouldn't take any medication at all for about ten days before surgery (at least, that's what I was told). Has anyone else had their procedure pushed back because they caught a cold?
Well, I actually had a cold right when I was headed in for my surgery, and it didn't cause any issues at all. You definitely can't touch Aspirin or Advil, obviously, but something like Tylenol should be fine if you need to bring a fever down. My doctor actually suggested I take some B-complex vitamins for about two weeks leading up to the big day.
Susan Kelly95 said:Look, Laura Castillo7, my nose was pretty much the same shape both before and after looking at that last photo on her page. I actually went for this specific look because I felt this nose shape suits my face best. It wasn't even like I had some grand plan to go out and copy someone else; it just so happened that she and I happen to have very similar noses. Now that I'm looking back at the photos, I see she’s got a similar nose too...

I have a question for anyone who has actually gone through the surgery—so, when I change my dressings, I can see the base of my nose (like where the nostrils start), and the whole bottom part looks kind of pulled? It honestly feels like my tip is turned up way too much, which was something I specifically told them I didn't want... Now I'm starting to freak out thinking maybe it's just the splint doing it, and once they take the mold off, the tip will settle down a bit... what do you guys think??
Don't sweat it, that’s totally normal. Those medical tapes are basically holding your nose in place, and since they're probably taped right over the tip, they're pulling it upward. I went through the exact same thing. Plus, everything is still super swollen! Once they finally get that mold off, you'll see that everything is right where it's supposed to be and looking fine!
Hey there! So, I’m officially six weeks out from my surgery. Since I’ve come down with this cold, I was wondering—is it actually okay to blow my nose a little harder? I guess I'm just terrified that I might shift something out of place, even though sometimes I end up blowing way more forcefully than I probably should. Does anyone have any advice or tips on this?

I actually know a girl who went to Glumičić 😁 He’s definitely the most famous one, and sure, people found out about a few mistakes he made, but I bet there are plenty of other doctors out there making way more errors than Glumičić does—it's just that nobody hears about them... still... if he were actually a bad surgeon, there's no way he'd be as busy as he is right now.
Anyway, I'm really glad you're happy with the results! 👍
Ugh, I started rambling again.. 🤣 bye
Then again, mistakes can happen to anyone. But if they do, it feels like it should be on the surgeon to fix it at their own expense. As for how doable that actually is in practice, I guess I don't know. Did Glumičić operate on the girl you know, and is she actually satisfied?
I’ve honestly struggled with swallowing pills for as long as I can remember. I mean, one time I almost choked on an Advil tablet, which was terrifying. 😁 Then, everything changed when I had to start taking B-complex vitamins because I was prepping for a surgery. When the doctors asked if I wanted chewables or standard tablets, I actually felt quite proud telling them I wanted the tablets. So, I get home, grab some water, settle in, take a few sips, pop the pill—which wasn't exactly tiny, by the way—into my mouth, and just... swallow. I actually did it! It was probably the first real, large pill I've ever managed to get down. I guess it really is mostly psychological. Before that whole ordeal, though, I used to have these... questionable methods for getting medicine down, especially with those antibiotic capsules. I’d shake the powder out onto a spoon, sprinkle a little sugar on top—because let's be honest, the taste was absolutely revolting—add a splash of water, and just gulp it down. 🤣 I definitely wouldn't recommend that particular technique to anyone. 😁
redridge15 said:Blanka Vlašić had to get a perfect nose job—zero mistakes allowed—since it’s basically his walking advertisement, and he knows she's under a massive microscope right now.
Honestly, Glumičić fixed my nose and did an incredible job!!! Look, I'm not some celebrity or anything, but I assume the people talking trash about him are just folks who have never actually been to his clinic or know anyone who has. That bad reputation mostly exists because some other surgeons went after him in the newspapers for doing body work when his actual specialty is head and neck surgery.
