Tips for using concrete sealer in Hardware ·
Hey,

I’m on the hunt for a solid laminator recommendation... honestly, my main priority is just finding something reliable where the pouches don't tear or split mid-run, you know?

1. Also, can I actually use those big rolls of laminating film in an A3-sized machine?

2. What’s the best way to cut the film from a roll without it shredding or turning into a total mess?

3. So, there are specific A3 and A4 pouches out there, but man, they are pricey—basically just double-sided sheets sold separately. I'm wondering how to work with the rolls so I get that top-and-bottom lamination... do I just slice the roll in half and feed it through, or is there some secret trick to prepping it before it hits the machine?

4. Is there even such a thing as a laminator that handles stuff bigger than A3? Like an A3+ maybe? Ideally something that won't break the bank...

5. And what about business cards? Should I be laminating a full sheet of paper first and then cutting them out, or do I just toss the individual cards into a pouch? Does it actually make a difference if I laminate the whole sheet and then cut everything at once versus doing the extra work of laminating pre-cut cards?

6. If I go the route of laminating the whole sheet and then cutting the cards out along the lines, is there a risk of the plastic peeling away from the paper?
Looking for an A3 printer recommendation in Computer Peripherals ·
Hey there,

I’m on the hunt for some solid advice on picking up a new printer that can actually handle photo paper in A3 size... I really need something that does full-bleed printing, you know, where it hits the edge of the page instead of leaving that annoying white border everywhere. Also, I’m trying to keep the price tag somewhere around $667. My main priorities are killer print quality and making sure the ink isn't going to absolutely bankrupt me compared to how much I actually get out of it...
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Since I’m not originally from LA but have been living in Chicago for over a year now, my husband and I are on the hunt for a solid primary care doctor somewhere in downtown Chicago. Honestly, gender doesn't matter to us, but we really need someone who isn't just going to rush through the appointment or act like they've got zero patience for actual human beings... just a normal, chill person working out of a clinic in the city center. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know because we urgently need to get this sorted out

How to edit text in a PDF? in Software ·
Thanks for all the tips, guys...
How to edit text in a PDF? in Software ·
So I tried opening the thing in Microsoft Word, but the second I try to tweak any of the text, the whole table just loses its mind... all the rows and columns start shifting everywhere and the entire layout completely falls apart whenever I make an edit. I think I’m just gonna have to copy everything over and rebuild the tables from scratch to save my sanity...
Thanks

Wait, can I actually drop in some new text and just wipe out the old stuff too?

So, how do I actually edit some text inside a PDF? It was originally just a table I whipped up in Microsoft Word, but now that it’s a PDF, I’m stuck... Every single time I try to convert the file back into Microsoft Word to fix things, the whole thing just falls apart, and the formatting gets totally trashed, messing up my fonts and the entire design...
I ended up downloading Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro, but I’m honestly having zero luck finding where the actual text editing tools are hidden in this thing?!
Can someone please save me here...

Man, I’m really sorry you’re going through all this hell right now, but honestly, looking around at everyone else, it feels like we’re all just drowning in our own messes... nobody actually has it all figured out because perfection is a total myth. Everyone is fighting their own private war, just doing the best they can with what they've got. I know things suck for you right now, especially since what you're dealing with is heavy as hell. If you can manage it, try to get out more, hang with people, maybe make some new friends... even if it's just one or two solid people who actually give a damn. Put yourself out there, invest in those friendships, but don't go expecting anything in return—that's usually when you end up getting way more than you bargained for... the main thing is just finding a way to fill that void so you aren't stuck sitting alone with your thoughts. Hit the gym, take a dance class, or literally anything else... though, okay, maybe not right this second, since you need to focus on getting your dad back on his feet first, but once that's settled... you gotta do something just for YOU! And I’m not saying you should ditch your brother or your dad or anyone else, obviously. Just remember to look out for yourself too, because let's be real, nobody else is going to step up unless you demand it yourself. Sadly, I’m speaking from experience here
How to get by on less sleep? in Health ·
Honestly, this thread was basically made for me. Between classes all afternoon and trying to grind through studying at night, I really should be up early, but getting out of bed is just... impossible. I’m pulling like 10 or 11 hours of sleep during the day, and even though I struggle to stay asleep most nights, once I finally drift off, there is zero chance of me waking up. Even when I stir, I don't actually open my eyes; I just sink right back into it, like I'm some kind of professional sleeper or something... which obviously isn't healthy. I have absolutely zero stamina, I just feel completely sluggish and drained, like I have no energy left for anything. It’s honestly pretty scary... getting out of bed in the morning feels like a mission that's just straight-up impossible for me.

Seriously, girl, I wish I had your magic touch... if only I could just unblock my Facebook account and get it back like it's nothing... and don't even get me started on working out, because at this rate, I'm probably just gonna stiffen up and die with my laptop glued to my hands if I don't actually move once in a while🙂

Robin Gray8 said:My cousin had three aneurysms back in July last year, and one of them actually bled, so she ended up spending about ten days in intensive care at a major hospital in the city getting surgery. Everything seemed fine initially, but she still has another one on the opposite side, which they handled endovascularly at Rebro because there just wasn't any other way to go about it...

She needs follow-up scans with an MRI and MRA sometime this month, but the only appointment they could get her is in March, and the MRI is showing a clot right where that first surgery took place. Her head is killing her every single day and I honestly have no clue how to help her, and she doesn't even live here in the city...
Does anyone have any advice on what we should do next?

I totally know how you feel... You probably read my post above, and that’s exactly how I’ve been talking to my mom. This wasn't even her first brain surgery for an aneurysm either, and just like your situation, they acted like everything was perfectly fixed, only for the first check-up after the operation to show she actually had more aneurysms than when she first went in for surgery. In the end, it all culminated in a stroke. It is just so incredibly hard to live through this... with my mom, it's likely that the stress and the sheer terror of the surgeries caused things to just... expand. Believe me, it's better for someone not to know than to have to relive all of this constantly. And don't even get me started on what an absolute idiot my old man is being... I can't take it anymore, does anyone know where I can find some actual professional help—like, psychological help? These problems and everything else are just driving me insane...
Ugh, well, here I am, dragging myself into this thread too. It’s not like I have anything to brag about, but honestly, sometimes you just need a kind word, or some comfort... or anything, really... even if nothing can actually change the reality of things, unfortunately 😢

My mom had a stroke exactly one year ago today, and thank God she survived it. Things were absolutely catastrophic. The left side of her body was paralyzed, and for 20 days she couldn't walk normally... control her bladder... or even move an inch out of bed... obviously, all of that dragged on for months while she fought to recover both physically and mentally. And of course, we all did too. But now... she’s heading back to the hospital soon for another procedure through the femoral artery to get more imaging done on her brain. Of course, that’s dangerous too. I’m terrified. We dealt with complications last year, and they let her come home, only for her to suffer another stroke that very same night. Not at the hospital, but at home! Right after they discharged her and told us everything was fine. We begged them to give us the blood thinners the doctor said were mandatory for three months, but the nurses wouldn't give them to us. And so, she had that stroke right there at home 😢(
I don't think anyone can truly grasp what a shock like that is. And don't even get me started on what I've been through personally, or the pain we've endured.
The worst part is that she has to go back to the hospital again. I honestly don't know if I have the strength to go through the same nightmare—God forbid—or something even worse. 😢
I feel so incredibly sad and alone... lonely in that way where nobody who hasn't lived through it could ever possibly understand. It's a specific kind of ache... not to mention the constant dread that my sister and I might also carry a hereditary condition—dilated brain aneurysms. So now you just live... you work, you study, you struggle... trying to deal with the fact that my mom could pass away any single day 😢 (It's evil. My sister is only 15, and I'm not much older than that...
I seriously wouldn't wish our situation on anyone 😢 What kind of fate is this? This fear... I'm mentally exhausted. Life just feels like it's designed to crush you sooner or later, no matter how hard you try

Can someone please make sense of this for me... I honestly have no clue what's going on with my body lately... about a month ago I dealt with a boil on my big labia down there, and now, out of nowhere, another one popped up right by the vaginal opening... Like, seriously, why?! What could possibly be causing this...
