The last time a host failed to score in their opening World Cup match was back in 1970 in Mexico, when Mexico played the USSR to a 0-0 draw. Since then, every single host nation has found the net in their opener (West Germany, Argentina, Spain, Mexico, Italy, USA, France, Japan and South Korea, Germany, South Africa, Brazil, Russia).

Not adding this to my parlay, but honestly, I'd bet the opposite. Ecuador’s defense is rock solid; they haven't conceded in their last six matches. This is a "must win" if they want to advance. As for Qatar... well, Qatar.
Most importantly, the odds for Qatar not to score are @2.50
For certain parlays, you could even grab Qatar to score exactly one goal @ 2.58, because I just don't see them bagging two against an Ecuadorian side that tight. They might fluke one, but two? Unlikely.

The quality of discussion in the MLS thread is bottom-tier. Just report every trash post and they'll get sanctioned.
