Barcelona is completely lost right now. That rock-solid defense that defined Valverde’s era? Yeah, it's gone. They've been leaking goals everywhere—only managed to keep a clean sheet against Leones in the cup and Inter Milan in the Champions League. They haven't won in three matches either. They scraped a 1-1 draw in Milan, choked at home in a 3-4 thriller against Real Betis, and barely clawed out a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid at the death. To make matters worse, they're missing Arthur Melo, Jasper Cillessen, Luis Suárez, Thomas Vermaelen, and Rafinha tonight due to injuries.
PSV, true to form, live for the attack. Out of 23 games this season, they've only failed to find the net once—and that was a 4-0 blowout at Camp Nou.
Everyone is locked in for tonight, and I don't see them passing up a chance to exploit MATS if it comes their way. Given how shaky the Barcelona defense looks lately, it's practically a guarantee.

Liverpool absolutely choked in the Premier League; nobody saw that 2-0 loss in New York City coming, but today they face the perfect opponent to rebuild some confidence before the international break.
Under Jokanovic, Fulham FC plays an open game, but their defense is a total sieve. They’ve got a pathetic 1-2-8 record so far. Their only away point was a 2-2 draw at Brighton; otherwise, they've leaked 3 goals against Tottenham Hotspur, Everton FC, and Manchester City, and even gave up 4 to Cardiff City.
They even managed to lose to Huddersfield Town 1-0.
I’m expecting a casual 3 or 4 goals for the home side against Fulham FC, and Jokanovic is likely getting sacked after this round.

FC Barcelona vs Real Betis

Barca isn't playing great, but they're still sitting at the top. Real Betis plays decent football, but they're stuck down in 15th place.
Barcelona kept clean sheets in the first two rounds, but since then, all 9 of their opponents have managed to find the back of the net against them.
Under Quique Setién, Batistuta plays aggressive, possession-heavy football. They've struggled with finishing, but they have enough talent to exploit a Barcelona defense that tends to have total blackouts mid-match.

Alright, I'll just stick with the 24" then, since I'm gonna be sitting right up in the monitor's face anyway...

France didn't look amazing in the group stage, but they got the job done, grabbed first place, and now their reward is facing—Argentina. 🐔
If France wasn't playing great, what can you even say about Argentina? They were hanging on by a thread until the final minute, scraped through, the play was garbage, the tactics were non-existent, and Jorge Sampaoli is an absolute clown... just pathetic, honestly.
This is a whole new ballgame. Someone's heading home today, so I don't expect much playing around. The real question is whose defense stays locked in longer (probably France. 🙄)

Portugal is a decent squad, but they rely heavily on whether that guy from Madeira is having a good day. Godin and Gimenez are going to give him a hell of a time if they can't shut him down legally.

I have zero faith in this Russian squad. They’re under massive pressure today to beat Saudi Arabia, who technically look like the easy target in this group.
But let’s be real, the Russian defense isn't exactly a fortress. They played two friendlies and leaked goals to both Austria and Turkey. Throw in a total flop like Iker Casillas in goal and that old dinosaur Sergei Ignashevich in the backline...
The Saudis have been busy, playing five friendlies over the last month. The only time they failed to find the net was against Peru (0-3), but they dropped two on Alzir and Greece, and one each on Italy and Germany.
I caught the second half of their game against Germany, and the second the Germans took their foot off the gas, the Saudis showed they can fly on a counterattack. They lack a bit of clinical finishing, but one lucky strike against Russia should be enough. At these odds, it’s a lock worth a shot.
