My encounter with the Reddit mods in Feedback & Suggestions ·
You’re just wandering around the forum ignoring the rules 🤷
And now you've gone and broken them again by posting private messages 🤷

Look, if this wasn't actually an issue with the moderators or admins—since you've been getting flagged by several of them now—it would be because you simply aren't reading or understanding the rules 🤷

I've got my eye on a super interesting matchup in the MLS today—we've got second-place LAFC facing off against a struggling FC Cincinnati, who are sitting right near the bottom of the table after dropping four straight. Usually, this fixture would be played at Cincinnati's place, but since they already met earlier this season and the "Black & Gold" cruised to a 2-0 win on the road, the vibes feel a bit different this time around.

The odds on an outright win for LAFC are looking pretty juicy, sitting at about 1.9 over at FanDuel.

Just a heads-up for anyone who happened to put some money down on the game between the Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders—the halftime score was actually 0-1, not the 0-0 the betting sites are reporting right now 😉

But look, if you actually check the very first post of the thread—the one where they gave you that warning—it says right here:
Joshua Garcia8 said:Unlike the usual daily threads around here, you can't just drop a raw list of picks without any context, like this:

Here's an example
Bayern-Schalke 04 1 1,45
Stuttgart-Freiburg 1 1,75
Newcastle-Wolverhampton 1 1,60
@4,06

Quote:
Boston Celtics 1 1,15
man.city - porto Pik 1 1,45
what do you guys think? any thoughts?
Posts like that are going to get flagged and deleted.

Since you clearly didn't bother reading that post, I guess you had no clue about the rule.

George Barnes25 said:Oh come on, Joshua Garcia8, you're being hilarious... Honestly, that response is basically toddler logic. No offense, but that's just how it is. He basically proved that trying to have a real debate with you is a total dead end.

P.S. And look, if I'm being real here, I'm all for following the rules, but they should actually apply to everyone, not just hand-picked people. 😉

Yeah, clearly. That's why you showed up just to stir the pot with these posts:

George Barnes25 said:For tonight: Morita, Larsson, and Parmentier Quote ☕

George Barnes25 said:The post was sarcastic 😉 and aimed at someone else

Make up your mind—are you going to commit or just keep stalling? 😉

Actually, this says way more about your character than any of your other posts combined:

George Barnes25 said:Hey, maybe I'll swing by sometime soon for some serious tennis betting, just for the group—though I’ve been staying away lately because of how the mods have been handling things. 😉

What's even the point of making posts like that? 🤷

Don't bother replying. Honestly, I don't care what you say, and I'm done arguing with you anyway.

Maybe FCK @ 1.45

They’re really finding their rhythm lately—sitting pretty at the top of the table and looking solid enough to make a run in the EL. Silkeborg hasn't looked great, and history favors the home side here, so I think this is one of the more promising matchups tomorrow—assuming they’ve got that extra bit of hunger to make up for missing out on the league title last season, which obviously cost them their spot in the Champions League.

Real Madrid is picking up steam—they should handle Barcelona easily, and Vallecano is basically two tiers below them if the Madrid squad stays focused.
Atletico Madrid @1.35
They’ve been resting quite a few players for the league, but even with a secondary lineup, they absolutely crushed Hapoel in the Europa League. Valladolid isn't going to be much of a challenge.
Arsenal vs Manchester City over 1.5 goals @1.17
I’m expecting a shootout here. Both sides score plenty, and they both tend to have those defensive lapses or keeper blunders now and then—surely we'll see at least two.

TotalEnergies: @2.13 a slightly heavier stake

What do you guys think?

Personally, I think this is a solid set of picks. My only gripe is that the odds on that over are a bit thin—I’d rather take a little more risk and go for "both teams to score" at 1.70. Though, looking back, their head-to-head history hasn't been exactly high-scoring... in their last seven meetings, they only cleared the 2-goal mark twice. 🤔)

Hold on, you’ve been hanging around this forum for over two years now—you should know better than to be whining about exactly what 🤷🙄

Getting flagged for an oversized image? Look, the rules for this sub-forum (and the site as a whole, really) are pretty explicit about the 640x480 limit, so
then getting hit with a warning for breaking two different sub-forum rules at once just proves one thing:
a) you didn't bother reading the sub-forum rules
b) you completely missed the announcement regarding the changes to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas sub-forum, or
c) you saw them and just decided they didn't apply to you.

The first post is always the gold standard—it's common sense. We can't exactly put "MUST READ FIRST POST" in every single thread title, right? As a veteran user, you really should have picked that up by now.

Twente vs. Hannover 69 & Udinese vs. Anzhi — both teams to score — yes
Atletico Madrid x2
Athletic Bilbao 1

Lyon 1

Marseille is looking pretty sharp right now—though you have to admit, Fenerbahçe is a total beast when they're playing at home.

It feels like a textbook example of a game to skip.😉

I honestly don't get why anyone would pick such a toss-up match when there are so many better options out there.🤷

Let’s take a crack at this option too—the logic is pretty much the same as what I laid out earlier, just with a little extra seasoning added in.

FC Twente vs. Hannover—both teams to score 3+ goals
Twente—they’ve put up 21 goals over their last five matches (averaging about 4.2 per game), and four of those ended with 3+ goals scored by both sides.
Hannover—they’ve been lighting it up with 34 goals in their last six outings (that’s roughly 5.66 per game), and five of those saw the 3+ goal threshold hit for both teams.

I’m feeling really good about this one—honestly, I might even throw a single bet on it with a higher stake. The odds from the big books are looking decent right now (DraftKings is sitting at @ 1.95, while FanDuel is at @ 1.90), so I’m just sitting tight and waiting for the lines to shift. ☕

Bayer Leverkusen vs. Metalist—both teams to score 3+ goals
Bayer—looking at their last seven games, six of them went over, including three where both sides hit the 3+ mark.
Metalist—in their last six matches, five went over, with three of those seeing both teams score 3+ goals.

Since it’s just the opening round and we aren't dealing with the high-stakes intensity of the Champions League yet, I’m expecting a lot of open, attacking play across most of these matchups—especially in these two. 🙂

One aggressive pick:

And one slightly less aggressive 😁

image

Inter vs. Rubin X2 (Rubin to score)
Inter seems—well, let's just say they aren't taking this tournament seriously. Their loss against the guys from Miami (huge props to them, honestly, but still...) and that home draw against Vaslui says it all. It feels like the Premier League is their only real priority right now. Rubin is a bit hit-or-miss—very hot and cold lately—but I think they’re capable of walking away with at least a point, if not a goal, which is what I’m putting on my second slip.

Udinese vs. Anzhi 2 (X2)
Similar vibe to Inter here; I suspect Udinese is much more focused on their domestic league (which they started off in, frankly, a total disaster) than this Champions League stuff 😁
The big spenders from Makhachkala have a solid squad and have been playing pretty well—they're actually riding a five-game winning streak.

Bordeaux vs. Brugge 1 (1X)
My favorite French side—not exactly in peak form right now, but still—facing off against a mediocre Belgian team. Even though this smells like a draw to me, I feel compelled to play it (though I did cover myself with the draw on my other ticket)

FCK vs. Molde 1
Copenhagen is having a rough time. After years of being the big dogs, they missed out on the title and had a rather unfortunate exit in the Champions League qualifiers. This competition matters to them—they've got enough quality in their domestic league to reclaim the trophy and fight on multiple fronts.

Sporting vs. Basel X2 (Basel to score)

Basel was such a pleasant surprise in last year's Champions League, but they got knocked out this year by some very good Romanian sides. Now they're traveling to face Sporting, who have had an absolutely abysmal start to their season. A team that managed to knock Man United out of the Champions League last season should definitely be able to avoid defeat in Lisbon, or at the very least, find the back of the net (which is my play on the second ticket).

Twente vs. Hannover over 2.5 goals
Twente—21 goals in their last 5 games (averaging 4.2 per game)
Hannover—34 goals in their last 6 games (averaging 5.66 per game) 😲

Bayer vs. Metalist over 2.5 goals
Bayer—out of their last 7 games, 6 went over
Metalist—out of their last 6 games, 5 went over

Lyon vs. Sparta 1
At this point, it really just comes down to how the Lions are approaching this tournament, because there's no denying the gap in pure talent.

Lawrence Alvarez3 said:Looking back at how previous seasons have played out, I know just how tough it is for a single team to pull off a handicap win—mostly because, even if it sounds like a cliché, everyone is playing high-level football these days. Given my specific betting style, I opted for the Asian Handicap at -1. Basically, if Manchester City wins by just one goal, I get my stake back. Honestly, I’ve had too many heart-stopping moments where my team is up 2-0 and then some random goal in the 93rd minute just ruins my entire night. If anyone wants to chase that 1.5 handicap that Pinnacle pays out at 2.0, be my guest. Personally, I went with the -1—partly for the safety of the stake, and partly because I can't tell if the manager is going to play it safe, focus on the Premier League standings, or just respect the opponent's name. One thing is absolutely certain: Man Utd is easily two classes above them. Hopefully, that clears things up for you. Cheers.

My bad, I didn't realize we were talking about AH 👍
It makes sense now, and the bet actually holds water—just maybe include the reasoning right away next time 😉

Lawrence Alvarez3 said:I haven't seen the starting lineups yet, but for today, I'm definitely looking at Manchester United vs. Galatasaray -1 at 1.51 on
Pinnacle.

Maybe throw in a little reasoning here? Like, why would anyone take a handicap at such a ridiculous price? 😕
Besides, our local sportsbooks are giving us 🤷@ 1.80

Nice job 👍

Since it's the first group stage match, everything is still wide open, and Real Madrid doesn't really have any other way to play 🤷.

Dennis Martinez82 said:Real Madrid vs Man City (over 1.5 goals in the first half) at less than @1.55

It’s the opening match of the group stage—a tough group, too. Real Madrid hasn't exactly looked sharp at the start of this season, and you're looking at two powerhouses here. Honestly, I suspect they might not come out swinging full force right away—maybe just a bit of a feeling-out process early on... typically, the odds for matchups like this hover between 1.25 and 1.4, but given these specific numbers, I think it's actually worth a shot. Good luck, everyone.

I actually see things quite differently—personally, I think they'll come out aggressive and play an open game. 🙂
Since it's the very first group stage match, everything is still up in the air, and Real Madrid doesn't really know any other way to play besides going for it. 🤷

Dortmund vs Ajax: 1

Look, Ajax is looking pretty decent lately, but you really have to give the edge to the two-time Bundesliga champs—especially when they’re playing on home turf.

LAFC vs Porto: 2

It’s pretty much been said already, but I think it might finally be time for Coach Miller to take his first L at the helm here. Intentions are one thing, but reality is another beast entirely. Sadly.

PSG vs Kyiv: 1

You've got Ibrahimovic and Balotelli going up against Krenk and company... honestly, I just don't think the Kyiv squad has the depth to keep up. 🤔

Montpellier vs Arsenal: 2

The French champs are struggling after losing their star player—who was basically half the team, if you look at how this new season has started—facing off against those London kids who just picked up Giroud 🙂(even though they also lost their top guy, Peach) and showed some serious flashes of brilliance over the last couple of matchdays.

Real Madrid vs City: Over 2.5 goals

A total clash of the titans.
A shaken-up Real Madrid facing off against those Manchester billionaires... I'm expecting fireworks, constant pressure, and naturally, plenty of goals.
