I honestly have no idea which department handles postpartum care, and considering I'm currently pregnant, it feels a bit overwhelming that no one has actually mentioned this to me yet...

P.S. Sometimes it’s incredibly hard to explain a situation perfectly, and sometimes a long post can be interpreted a hundred different ways. However, in most cases, you can usually figure out what the writer actually meant. I really dislike it when people on a forum just look for any excuse to lecture others or be contrarian.

I don't typically weigh in on these kinds of discussions either, but so what? I used to be a smoker too, and I quit the moment I found out I was pregnant; sure, maybe someone might light up once or twice here and there while they're getting support to quit, but becoming increasingly irresponsible with it is a different story altogether.

Just because she's being hypocritical doesn't mean her advice isn't solid. Maybe instead of getting defensive, you could try actually addressing your addiction—which, let's be real, is a medical issue—and seek out some professional help if you can't handle it on your own? That would be a lot more productive than just taking your helplessness and guilt over doing something wrong and dumping it onto the people closest to you who are trying to help.

I hear you loud and clear. For me, the nausea was easily the most brutal hurdle to clear, and I’m still struggling to get ahead of it myself. Just remember that this phase eventually passes, like a storm moving through—hang in there.

I've honestly tried everything under the sun... and it’s such a toss-up because sometimes it provides a moment of relief, while other times it doesn't touch the sides. For what it's worth, I was dealing with constant vomiting too—just non-stop for those first four months—and nothing seemed to make a dent in it.

I could sign my name to every single one of those points, whether it’s dealing with unsolicited advice from "expert" moms who weren't even asked, or just the blatant lack of manners you run into on a crowded Greyhound bus. And honestly, I have to throw in a massive shout-out to morning sickness—because nobody ever warned me it would be this relentless. It feels like it drags on for nearly half the entire pregnancy, just a constant, exhausting cycle. It's absolutely brutal.

I am honestly just so fed up with these bitter old ladies and their pathetic, sniveling little excuses... It’s enough to make anyone lose their mind.
