We're at a total loss. What should we do? in Health ·
Look, if you aren't finding anything helpful through traditional medicine and you're just walking around dealing with these endless traces of whatever this is, maybe consider broadening your horizons a bit. If you're open to it, go see a well-known radiesthesist. They can help pinpoint what might be going on and give you a direction to head in, so at least you aren't just spinning your wheels blindly.
Basically, they show you where to look and what the root cause might be, and then you can take that info back to your doctors to figure out the next medical steps.
If you need a recommendation, I can pass one along, but shoot me a DM. I don't like dropping names like that out in the open.
Good luck with everything. Peace.
Overdrafts and negative balances: What's allowed? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
You really need to get out there and hit up some banks in person to scout out their terms, account packages, and all that other fine print...

And honestly, you gotta ask yourself why you're even living in the red to begin with—and more importantly, how the hell you're gonna climb out of it.

Look, I know I'm preaching here, and maybe I'm a little late to the party...

But it actually worked for me. 😉 I went to this workshop on personal finance management, which was totally free. It at least gave me that kick in the pants I needed to start tracking my spending and figuring out which "essential" expenses are actually just bleeding me dry.

The truth is, unless you actually wrap your head around your income versus your outflows, you can't even begin to dream about a "future" or having any kind of safety net... though, let's be real, life always finds a way to throw a curveball at you. 🤷
About those workshops—you can find all the details on the website:

Anyway, take care everyone. Drop your ideas and stories below.

Even though they don't exactly hand out universal life advice there, it actually did something for me. 😉 I went to one of those personal finance workshops, and honestly, it was enough to nudge me into finally tracking my spending—you know, seeing where all that cash actually vanishes into and identifying those "essential" little expenses that just quietly bleed you dry over time.

I mean, let’s be real: unless you actually sit down and crunch the numbers on what’s coming in versus what’s going out, you're just spinning your wheels. You can't even start thinking about "the future" or having some kind of safety net if you don't know your own math... though, let's face it, you never truly know what kind of curveball life is going to throw at you anyway. 🤷

Anyway, catch you all later. Please, drop your thoughts and whatever experiences you've had in the comments.

I'm looking for some ideas and recs

Regarding my HEART:
I need to get an EKG and an exercise stress test done—anyone have suggestions?
And I'm assuming a cardiologist consultation comes included in the package, right? Please let me know if you know any good private doctors or someone covered by Medicare (honestly, I’ll probably seek a second opinion too, because I am definitely not in the mood for anyone playing guessing games with my heart).

Regarding my LUNGS:
For a spirometry test, they pointed me toward the Mayo Clinic, run by Baron in Washington, D.C. The waitlist is about 16 days, which isn't the end of the world since I doubt I'm going to drop dead tomorrow, but that's just for the initial checkup and the breathing test. That said, if anyone knows a solid pulmonologist, please hit me up.

Thanks in advance... 😉

hiddensailor14 thanks, man... oh, and yeah, there’s actually another thread out there about Tai Chi, it’s got some useful links in it too.

thanks.. 👍

I mean, yeah, I want to... but honestly, there are days when I’m stuck at work forever (if you know what I mean, like an 8:30 AM start until... say, 6 PM, or even 9 PM if the doctors have a busy shift)
The thing is, I just can't face driving across the entire city again. It's absolute chaos out there, just crawling through bumper-to-bumper traffic... we aren't all built the same way, you know? You end up totally drained—both mentally and physically—just trying to get there. Sometimes you're sitting in a single lane for 20 minutes without moving an inch!

Maybe my willpower isn't quite strong enough... or maybe I'm just spoiled because I want things to be within walking distance in a city where transit is slow and whether you're on a bus or in your own car, it doesn't matter, especially since we don't even have a million people living here.

Back when I was actually interested in Qi Gong about ten years ago and hanging out in that neighborhood, there wasn't anyone like Nikolas or anyone else even remotely into that stuff in Washington, D.C. Even yoga was pretty niche back then compared to how huge it is now.Nowadays, you actually have the luxury of picking specific neighborhoods

For me, getting from work to Savica takes over 45 minutes by car, which is just way too much to eat into my free time.

Look, during rush hour, I'd rather just do it on my own than waste an hour and a half or two hours sitting in gridlock, getting worked up and stressed out.

If my desire isn't "strong" enough, it's probably because I have DVDs and YouTube, so I can practice Qi Gong solo. I've already finished a course, so it's not like I'm a beginner; I'd much rather join a group that’s actually on my way.

It would be perfect if classes were held somewhere like SoHo or near a major hub, but man, by the time I finally drag myself there, I won't even have the energy to care anymore.

Maybe we aren't on the same page professionally, mentally, or even just age-wise, but I wanted to take the time to explain that it's not just about "willpower"—there are actual logistical reasons and priorities involved here.

Once there's some Qi Gong happening in my neck of the woods, somewhere convenient and within walking distance, I'll definitely try to make it happen. But as it stands, I just can't do it.😉

Shoot me a DM with your experiences with Qi Gong, and if you're down, maybe we could link up sometime... or hey, once you've got enough experience, maybe you could even start a class in my neighborhood... haha. Anyway, cheers! ! !

It’s kind of like Tai Chi,

I’ve also heard things about Nikolas (do a quick Google search)

Has anyone here actually tried training with Nikolas?

The location just doesn't work for me—it's too much of a headache to commute there, though if it were more on my way, I probably would've given it a shot by now.

Good luck!

Didn't really fit in the other threads, so I'm just dropping it here:

I'm on the hunt for a solid ENT in NYC—could be private practice or at a major hospital, doesn't matter.

Please let me know ASAP... I've been dealing with this misery for months now, and my GP finally told me to go see an ENT. I guess there'll be some kind of exam followed by an X-ray... or who knows what else they'll throw at me?

THANKS in advance... feel free to shoot me a DM.

(p.s. if anyone feels like typing...
has anyone here actually gone through sinus puncture surgery? How was the experience?
Also, if you don't have an ENT recommendation, a pulmonologist would work too...
And honestly, what does an ENT exam even look like? ...)
Nausea and dizziness in Health ·
I’m no doctor, so don't take my word for it

I’ve been dealing with the exact same thing—nausea, killer headaches, and this weird sense of disorientation. It’s been hitting me hard for the last few days. My sinuses are completely backed up deep in there, so I’m thinking they might be putting pressure on the equilibrium center in my ear or something... plus, I've got this constant ringing in my ears too.

So, yeah, if you ask me, my best guess is that it’s all just coming from those stuffed-up sinuses...

Good luck, hope you feel better

Hey everyone...

Does anyone have a lead on an ENT specialist? Looking for recommendations—private clinics, any specific names? Or even just a solid public hospital/doctor where I won't wait forever?

I'm looking specifically in the Washington, D.C. area...

Also, has anyone here actually gone through sinus puncture/drainage? What was the experience like? Was it a nightmare or totally fine?

If you don't have an ENT recommendation, a pulmonologist would work too... if you've got one handy.

And honestly, what does a standard ENT exam even entail? Just curious how they actually check everything out.

THANKS in advance.... feel free to shoot me a DM if you'd rather not post it here.
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
Alright ladies, let's get back to the topic at hand...

There’s a ton of different supplements out there that can help dial down those annoying PMS symptoms and the actual period itself.

For the last few months, I’ve been using the PMS Support from Twinlab, and honestly, it’s helped quite a bit. My only issue was finding the right dose—taking two tablets at once felt like way too much for my system, so now I just split them up. I take half a tablet twice a day, starting about 10 to 15 days before my period hits and continuing through the flow, then I take a little break.
It works okay, but it’s definitely not some miracle cure.

Twinlab also apparently makes this one thing that's supposed to be amazing, though I haven't tried it myself. It's meant to stop heavy bleeding—something to do with pine resin or some kind of extract from a pine tree, I think? I can't remember the exact name.

Personally, I'm thinking about checking out this "Green Magma for Women" thing. You can look it up here:
I’m not usually a fan of these kinds of ads, but I feel like most of this stuff probably does more good than harm.

Good luck, girls!!
I've got a few questions

• How did you figure out you actually needed an endocrinologist specifically for your thyroid? (Was it because you were feeling symptoms, or just doing some proactive checking?)

• I'm curious about where people usually go—like, do you just see a general endocrinologist if you want to get a full picture of how your hormones and glands are actually functioning? Also, what kind of tests are standard (which specific hormones)? And does anyone know the best way to kick things off... like, starting with a primary care doctor at a clinic or something?

Thanks in advance.
