So be it. 😍

Given the current state of the world, we could use a little escapism.

I wouldn't mind revisiting a series like this. Provided there is a reasonable amount of time between viewings, of course.🙂

Exactly. That was phased out a few years back.
I fail to understand why some people prefer to shout about things before bothering to check the facts.🤷
Though, in my hometown, there was some sort of local veteran assistance active just a few months ago.

It doesn't matter if he died as an addict, or from AIDS, or some other mess the lawmakers decide to label him with... people just cling to those nasty labels to soothe their own egos. How many of them actually died under enemy fire? Anyway, if someone liked to drink, that’s on them. (Look, I knew a few myself, let's be real—you can't have a huge group of people where everyone is a saint, but if they actually screwed up big time, they were heading straight to a federal prison or facing a court-martial).

I am not envious of anyone; my husband was a volunteer himself. He has always been somewhat frail, yet he was the first to enlist for the defense and stayed until the end.
Read carefully: I am discussing two distinct scenarios involving legitimate veterans. One was a volunteer who died during active combat, thus earning specific rights. The other was a volunteer who passed away after being demobilized—after the war ended. Both died, though neither died in combat.

There are enough threads about fake veterans, so I will skip that. However, it is a fact that there are massive distinctions even among genuine veterans. My husband, as a volunteer, holds the same status as a veteran who was drafted (since draftees are veterans too, regardless of their lack of choice). And he isn't the only one.

Angela Cox said:I once knew a volunteer who struggled with alcoholism long before the war started. However, once he put on his uniform, he didn't touch a single drop. It didn't matter, though; the town still insisted he died a drunk. When you try to tell a small community that a man stayed sober during service, they refuse to believe you because, in their eyes, he will always be the town drunk.

My husband was a solid soldier and a reliable comrade on the front lines. My point is this: the law doesn't treat veterans equally if they passed away during active service versus those who died just months after being discharged.
My husband and his entire brigade were discharged on June 30, 1996. A close friend of his died from heart complications late that year, but because he had already been demobilized, he didn't receive the same benefits as someone who fell during active combat.
That was my thought.

That volunteer likely succumbed to despair upon realizing that not a single sober volunteer was left defending America; we were all just a bunch of drunken Nazis. It must be a bitter pill to swallow, knowing that America was built by alcoholics rather than academics.

May he rest easy in his grave.

Jesus, I knew that man over twenty years ago. And he drank. Don't lecture me on things you clearly don't understand.
He passed away from cirrhosis as a chronic alcoholic. Given that fact, I have no idea how he managed to stay sober on the battlefield.
I never claimed he was a fake veteran. Someone else merely pointed out that the law doesn't care about nuances; it makes no distinction whether someone died or was killed while serving in the US Army.
Why the obsession with Nazis?

Sean Cox48 said:Oh, you bet there are people like that. There’s actually a ton of them because the way the law is written basically leaves the door wide open. The real tragedy, though, is how these types end up making actual veterans look bad. I mean, looking at this forum, I know two absolute legends—two guys who were right there in the thick of it from day one, got wounded multiple times, lost their health, and still kept heading back to the front lines. They’re totally broken, dealing with constant pain, and yet those two are pulling the exact same pension as someone who just totaled their car while drunk and never even stepped foot on a battlefield.
It’s just... man, it feels so unfair, but I guess it's pretty much impossible to fix since the law doesn't really care about the nuances. If you wore the uniform and came home with a disability, you get the pension. Period. End of story. Doesn't matter if you got hurt playing soccer or out in a trench.
At the end of the day, I suppose it comes down to self-respect and basic morality—whether or not you're going to exploit the system and take what rightfully belongs to the real fighters.
Personally, I haven't even bothered setting up my veteran status, and I don't think I ever will. I guess I'd just feel too ashamed to claim veteran benefits after only serving a few months sitting in a position. But hey, I suppose everyone just follows their own conscience.

That's just how the law works. There was this one veteran—a volunteer, I think, though it's irrelevant—who died from chronic alcoholism during the war. His family receives the exact same benefits as the family of a soldier killed in combat.
North Korea will never launch an attack against the USA, nor will the USA ever target North Korea.

The regime has essentially abandoned communism at every level; supposedly, they have

transitioned into a mere "military state" 😕

A tragic situation for the people living there.

Retaining funds that you know do not belong to you is a legal violation.
The real challenge will be the burden of proof.
In Germany, for instance, this falls under § 812 BGB; it should be the same here in the US.

Look, I know someone who accidentally entered her sister's routing number at the bank, so the deposit went to a stranger instead. That person kept the funds because, according to her, once the money hits her account, it belongs to her—plus, she was deep in debt and could use the windfall. :🙄 Long story short, she didn't return it, and the police told my friend they couldn't intervene since it's a private civil matter. The solution was a civil lawsuit, though my friend says she still hasn't seen a dime.
My husband had a similar experience when a teller handed him cash from the wrong account, but he pointed out the mistake and returned it immediately.🙂
Thoughts on Cephalexin? in Health ·

I would appreciate any insight.

It should be fine. I’m also allergic to penicillin (Amoxil),

yet I can take Cephalexin without issue.

If there's any doubt, just check with your pharmacist.

Reviving this thread. Summer has arrived, bringing my usual struggle along with it—the endless search for a decent swimsuit.

Hit a few shops today—can't muster the energy for anything else. Same old story, as usual. 👎 Regarding the offer.

Liscin—their standard selection features models I simply don't resemble.

The store has no name worth mentioning.

The Victoria's Secret store closed down. Last I checked, they were undergoing some renovations. I have no idea if they've reopened yet.

Ladies sharing my struggle, where do you find your bras? What are they like? Any specific models or cup styles?

I might actually take the plunge with Victoria's Secret this year. I've narrowed it down to two models—though the specific samples don't really matter—and I'm currently torn between them:

1. A photograph from Victoria's Secret. Quite minimalist.

It suits her quite well. 🙄
It appears there is sufficient material to cover everything.
I am uncertain about this bottom band. I can't tell if it will dig in or simply lose its shape if my bust size increases.
The cup size isn't an option; they only offer standard S, M, or L.

1. A visual from Victoria's Secret. Quite simple.

The baskets come in various sizes.
It appears sturdy.
I find wire baskets to be a consistently reliable storage solution. 😁

What are your thoughts? Which of these two offers better support? 🤷

I struggle with breast issues as well. It is particularly difficult during ovulation or when dealing with PMS. They aren't necessarily large, just heavy and wide. Depending on the style, I frequently find myself needing an F or even a G cup. Currently, I am an 85F, and since losing weight, my cup size hasn't changed at all.

To be honest, I have similar proportions. I actually saw a similar bodysuit at the Victoria's Secret in San Diego. Everything there seems a bit small; on the mannequin, it looks like it offers full coverage, but in reality, I doubt it. So, I won't be finding any bodysuits there.

I used to stick to Liscin for my bras and bodysuits, until I discovered Triumph. The band fits perfectly; no matter how much I move around, it stays exactly where it should. They offer wider straps, though you can find narrower ones if you look. The price point isn't bad either—around $45.$133I used to spend even more time browsing the racks at Liscin. I just stopped by, saw what was there, and picked it up—all within about twenty minutes. Much better than dealing with the usual stress and hassle.

too much. 🙂 Two years ago, I struggled with finding clothes that actually fit my frame.
The quality was pretty subpar—not exactly high-end stuff—until he opened up Joker, that is.
There’s a Tom Tailor in that mall. I know you’re asking about Chicago, but they likely have a location there too—just some guidance. We share the same sizing; I usually grab a 46 or 48. Their sizing runs large, though—the clerk mentioned they use German standards—so I fit into a 42 in trousers and a 31 or 32 in jeans. They even carry shirts with stretch for my curves. Prices for pants are... $150Jeans were $549, shirts around $200 to $300, and that last T-shirt I picked up? It cost... $50The line is mostly athletic, though there are some more elegant pieces. The quality is genuinely high and holds up well—especially the denim and trousers. To be honest, my pants from Gap always seem to tear or wear out way too fast, whereas stuff from LL Bean lasts much longer. I’d rather pay a premium for something durable than waste money on cheap items that fall apart immediately. As for bras, I stick to Triumph.
Hope I was of some small assistance.
