Can we coexist with Americans again? in Close to Politics ·
wearycrane7 said:I’m lodging a formal protest right here and now. Honestly, I would appreciate it if you all would stop with this constant messing around. All of you.

That’s fair enough. Please accept my apologies to YOU, if I have caused YOU any offense—it isn't your burden to bear, nor is it anyone else's, if they lost their lives at that site. It was never my intention to hurt you personally or to diminish the memory of those who passed.

You know my stance regarding America and Americans quite clearly. Just as shadowjackal88 does, and just as duvdevanov does.
But what that piece of trash, that Judas Iscariot type—who hasn't even stepped foot near the battlefield yet but acts like a true American patriot today (much like that absolute bottom-feeder Mladen Schwartz 🙂), and who is probably the first one in line to cheat the government on his taxes)—what that scoundrel fails to grasp is that he is ATTEMPTING TO DEBATE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR ENTIRE FAMILIES IN THAT VERY SAME CAMP.

Did you really expect me to just sit there and stay silent about this?

I don't recall seeing you raise any objections when your buddy posted about his grandfather passing away in a concentration camp after falling from a watchtower.

There were some truly terrible guys among the Nazis... 😁 Which Nazi officer was your grandmother associated with?
Oh right, is that where all those complexes come from?

Me?

No, actually, my grandmother wasn't one of the Nazis.

She was up on horseback, holding the reins right by the edge of the Pit.

just some radical leftist 😉

As if he were the only one...

Speaking as the wife of someone who was at Bleiburg, I can tell you they must have spent ages interrogating her—poking and prodding at everything she knew or didn't know, testing her limits just to see how much pressure she could take before breaking... It’s heartbreaking to think about what that poor woman went through in the end...

😢

That damn secret police. You really can't trust them...

Bradley Wells4 said:From what I can recall, his grandfather actually passed away right during those intense Bleiburg commemorations.

And all this happened while his grandmother was stationed somewhere else entirely... tucked away in an office, working under a local political commissar... 😁

It’s no wonder he’s been carrying those deep-seated insecurities ever since... 😢

Mr. Pes said:Why on earth would you think some malicious spirit would want to sign me up? 😁

As far as I am concerned, you really ought to have written consent on file before you go publishing anything about people, right? 😁

Mr. Pes said:Even the ladies are running away from me, my dear Maria Thompson2...

Well, if I were in your shoes, I might actually start feeling a bit anxious. 😁 Perhaps it is time for a change in cologne? 😁

Mr. Pes said:I was once all by myself in their club, and not a single one of them even gave me a glance! 🙂

It has been a long time since anyone has even looked my way. 😁

Mr. Pes said:(In case you are wondering what I was doing there—I was just visiting a friend who used to be the owner of the place before they leased and eventually sold it to that crowd.

A sincere apology can truly go a long way. 😁

Mr. Pes said:It surprised me to see them all together; usually, those two groups don't exactly mingle... 😁)

They certainly don't "mingle," that is true, but it doesn't mean they can't simply exist side-by-side. 😁

If you head over to Global, you will see that even there, people are often just standing next to one another. 😁

Oh, goodness me... no, no, no!

The Sijelicars really ought to have lined up ahead of him; you know how it works, they always take their turn first before he even steps into the room.

Well, you really caught a break there, Pesica, considering they haven't made the final call on releasing that list of lesbians just yet. 😁

Actually, it goes even deeper than that; things are so shrouded in secrecy that even he isn't quite sure where his own information is coming from. ☕

This is an absolute disaster waiting to happen: so many well-known community members are going to be publicly exposed this way...

Just picture it—a massive, endless list, and then way down at the bottom, number 345: Ivan LUKIC. 😁

The problem is, they’ve all gone full Borg. Totally assimilated... perfectly obedient... completely submissive...

WE ARE THE BORG! RESISTANCE IS FUTILE! 😁

Brian Moore67 said:You should really check out Charlie Chaplin and Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. It’s a completely different flavor of weirdness, but honestly, it’s just as brilliant.

I have this thing about certain details... I just have to know... keep a close eye on the avatar.

By the way, word is the DVD release is going to be significantly longer since they supposedly filmed every single panel from the graphic novels (which run about 150 pages), but they had to trim a massive amount for the theatrical cut. Apparently, they're planning to adapt the rest of the series too.

Did you hear that Rodriguez actually resigned from the Directors Guild of America just to get this movie made?

The Guild doesn't allow "co-directors" on a project like this, and he was dead set on having Miller serve as his co-director.

And then, just to stir the pot and drive them even more crazy, imagine if Tarantino jumps in there somewhere... 😁

Oh, and Benicio Del Toro... Jackie Boy...

My only real gripe is with Clive Owen: his facial features seem a little too refined for a movie like Las Vegas. They look almost too civilized for that world...

I think I'll make sure to grab a backup of that DVD once it finally drops...

On another note, I recently sat down to watch Team America.

IT WAS ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!!

"I will be with you if you promise me that you will never die"
"You know I can't promise something like that"
"If you could promise that, I would be yours... I might would even go to bed with you"
"I PROMISE!"

... 😂

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, HANS BLIX, CAN'T YOU SEE HOW INCREDIBLY BUSY I AM?

😂 😂

👍 What an absolute disaster of a movie!

I’ve already caught this one in theaters three times now, and honestly? I don't regret a single second of it. In fact, I’m already planning to head back for a fourth viewing!

Sylvester Stallone in the performance of a lifetime! Honestly, I don't think any of his previous roles even come close to this one—it’s truly in a league of its own.

Well, that was an absolute disaster!

Well, that is just absolutely devastating!

It just goes to show that when you see women captured in classic black and white, they possess a certain magnetic intensity that seems twice as captivating as anything you’d find in full color. 🙂 🙂 🙂

...about that new flick starring Val Kilmer, Christian Slater, and the rest of that crew.

You know, the one involving those criminal profilers stuck out on that desolate little island...

It’s got those heavy vibes that remind you so much of Agatha Christie and her classic "And Then There Were None."

To be honest, I found myself feeling a little let down by this one.

The plot is just incredibly predictable. Very much so.

BUT, I will say it does nail the atmosphere—they did a fantastic job capturing that sense of claustrophobia—and the methods used in the killings are actually quite intriguing, which is a huge plus for movies in this genre, not to mention the pacing of the story is quite solid.

I won't dwell on it too much, because I really can't stand it when critics push their agendas by shouting things like "go see that movie" or saying it's "not even in madness."

At the end of the day, just do whatever you feel like doing. ☕

2) Not really, unless you happen to be dealing with that... what was it... Fentanyl or something along those lines...
3) Yeah, absolutely.
The people's leaders...

In old American slang, "the people" was actually used as a colorful way to refer to "money." ☕
If you wanted a clear-cut demonstration of where everyone stands on the political spectrum, those heated threads regarding maternity leave benefits, restrictions on foreign real estate buyers, or even Sunday transit laws provided all the evidence you could ever need.

The so-called "leftists" in this group didn't just prove they have absolutely no grasp of actual progressive principles; they essentially unmasked themselves as being firmly on the right.

I think that says everything that needs to be said.
Maria Thompson2 is still hanging around! He was just out of town for a few days, so he didn't have much chance to drop by and write things from various internet cafes!

So, Lucy—as I mentioned before—we’ll all get together once Pesica arrives!

Rebecca Miller2 said:But you actually got... scared!😁

And here I was, thinking I could just carry you away under my arm like a sack of flour... 😳

Well... how on earth could you expect me to be believable when you can't even trust your own instincts!🙂

Honestly, that’s why you’re better suited as a garden gnome... just there to light the path for His Majesty—the world's great Benefactor!

Mr. Dog... ? Poor thing, she's always trying to pull everyone along with her!😁

From where I'm sitting, I don't see any kind of guarantee that you'd actually show up on your own accord.

Did I get scared? Not at all; it's just that I make it a point not to drag the messy realities of actual life into Reddit, unless it's absolutely vital.
As for you, I highly doubt you'd ever agree to a rule where we only use our handles at coffee shops and promise not to dig for anyone's private information.
Rebecca Miller2 said:It seems like Maria Thompson2 has gone a bit quiet on us... she hasn't posted anything in over twenty minutes. 🙄 I completely caught him off guard... the poor guy was absolutely stunned!😛

It really feels like they ought to have a direct line of communication with headquarters—though one can’t help but wonder what kind of response they would actually get from them.😳

Well, it wasn't quite like that—I headed straight from the office to the synagogue, and since it was Shabbat afterward, you know how things go... I’m honestly trying to step away from these forums as much as possible, if only to preserve what little sanity and patience I have left.

To be perfectly honest, I find it quite hard to believe that you would actually show up to that coffee meeting all by yourself. I have a strong feeling that Maleni would be hovering somewhere nearby, and I can just picture him keeping a watchful eye on Neil Armstrong from atop a rooftop or something along those lines.

Let me be perfectly clear about my coffee meeting conditions: I will only agree to grab a cup under two very specific circumstances. Either Mr. Dog joins our little group, or we schedule it for the day when Israel finally establishes itself and mutual recognition is officially achieved. Honestly, that second scenario doesn't seem all that far off; if things keep moving at this pace, we might actually see it happen by the end of 2005. So, let's aim to catch up in early 2006!
