Anthony Jackson2 said:I’m not dodging anything—my stance has been clear from the jump: people shouldn't be banned from going outside, they just need enough common sense not to put themselves or others at risk. I've walked through downtown a few times and people actually follow the rules—keeping their distance and avoiding crowds. That’s exactly what the CDC recommendations suggest. On the flip side, gathering indoors isn't responsible, nor does it align with the guidelines.
So, you try explaining how this little get-together fits into your whole fantasy of total isolation and travel bans.🍿
As if anyone cares which holiday it is—it's almost like all safety measures and warnings should just be suspended because it's Easter and everyone can do whatever they want.
Journalism doesn't care about "holy days" or whatever; there's no argument to be made about whether her conduct was appropriate. A journalist's job is the same every single day—if some people want to move the goalposts to suit their mood, that's their problem.
Finally, I caught you waiting☕
The link I posted first shows exactly what I was talking about—people clearly aren't following the rules. That’s exactly what I was referring to when I wrote that post, which you then tried to defend by using that line about "Why should people have to hide in holes..."
Since the beginning, I've been in favor of isolation, and I've said several times that "going outside, keeping your distance, and not forming groups" isn't forbidden anywhere. You can find that in several of my posts.
Also, you won't find me defending this anywhere; if you find a post where I say it's fine to hold massive gatherings, I'll hand over my driver's license right now. I only said it wasn't handled professionally and that there are definitely more instances of people breaking isolation than this one. Even the Police officer reported several group gatherings that had to be broken up, and there weren't any journalists there.
Journalism? Are you kidding me? That’s what I was getting at in my first post: when Republicans are looting the country, or when Linda is making shady backroom deals, or when Mommy is throwing parties for everyone under the sun while millions are stolen from clubs and the government... Is that when they ask "Is it a holy day?" Or suddenly it's not their job anymore? Sure, the job is the same every day, but maybe not here in the States.
