America vs. Denmark: 28-26 in Other Sports ·
wiredseal7 said:Look, our bench depth is actually way better this year, regardless of what those people in Denmark think. From how things are looking, it seems like someone’s just gonna play through the pain on Balica (but hey, that’s basically what everyone loves to do anyway).

If Metla and Blaž actually stepped it up and played like they should, we wouldn't even need to rely on playing through injuries.😉

Vanya said: The Danes think they’ve got us figured out. They actually believe our talent pool is shallow and that they have all the answers to shut down guys like Balić and Džomba. Please. Give me a break.

I’m not buying this. Not even close.😁
Nathan Kern9 said:Too bad you messed up. Not like we're desperate or anything, but having Caleb in the backline, along with Vorij and Pero, is actually holding its own pretty well.

And honestly, it’s becoming obvious this whole setup is way better than the Max era...

Caleb? Are you kidding me? He is hands down the absolute worst defender on the roster.😁

And you think the defense is working? Sure, for the first two games and half of one against Russ. But without David, we're playing some weird 3-2-1, 5-1 junk, and when he's out, we look like a total disaster—scores like 3-2, 5-1, or 6-0.

It's definitely not like we don't need him.😉

Why aren't we playing at 8 PM on Sunday? I won't be able to make it by 4 to get laid.🙂

Screw the Germans and their whole organization. You haven't seen anything yet—wait until the circus starts during the semis and finals. I’m telling you, those Germans probably bought up 90% of the tickets themselves 🤮

Man, I’m staring at these stats right now... honestly, I just hope we can knock those Canadians out of the bracket soon enough.

They’re leading the pack with a massive 59 fouls this tournament, while the Canadians are sitting at 46, and we’re basically one of the cleanest teams out there with only 24.
They also have the most suspensions with 22, whereas we’re once again near the bottom of that list with just 8.

silverstag19 said:Look, I’ve already said in my other posts that Losert is actually a killer player, but when he suits up for the national team? It’s like he isn't even playing defense. The last time he actually played at his usual high level was back in Athens, and I swear some kind of tragedy went down there—at least that's how I remember it. Ever since then, his performance for the national squad has been a total disaster.

Yeah, things went totally sideways in Athens. We had a beastly defense, a decent offense, and great goalies (Scholl was stopping everything, too), especially him = 8 straight wins if I'm remembering right.🙏

silverstag19 said:Look, I don't care what anyone says about Schola—you absolutely cannot compare him to Šterbik. If you actually look at this objectively without being some biased fanboy, only an idiot would put Schola ahead of Šterbik. Here’s why: Schola is one of those "inspiration" goalies. When he's feeling it, he's an absolute beast, but when he's off, he's useless. Period. But Šterbik? He's the guy who's going to save a certain amount of shots regardless of whether he's having an "on" day or not. Now just imagine if he had to deal with the kind of defense our guys have, where most shots end up coming from the perimeter right where he's strongest.

I'm telling you, we've got plenty of solid goalies right here in the States, so we don't need to be groveling to any foreign players.🙂

Schola, whatever his deal is (and everything you said is true), has been a better keeper than both of them combined. At least up until now.🙂

Larry Thomas said:The vibe is just straight-up terrible, regardless of what the stats say or how much people claim the defense is playing perfectly. I mean, when I think about guys like Sergey Lavrov or Šterbik, they’d pull off 20 massive saves in a single game. That kind of stuff happened all the time.

Screw them, remember Šol🙏

Opening this thread this early? We're basically asking for a total shitshow here.😁

As for those Danes, everyone acts like they're more dangerous than Russ... we'll see about that.🙂

coppercobra2 said:If you actually cleared out that 1% of idiots you're talking about, the stadium would be empty. When the LA Galaxy were stuck playing in the relegation zone, I saw plenty of regular families who are usually too terrified to show up because of the hooligans. And that wasn't even when they were playing the Boston Red Sox.

Even when the LA Galaxy are top of the table, these so-called "fans" always find an excuse to skip the game:
1. They say the flags on sticks are blocking their view.
2. The wind is blowing and it might mess up their hair.
3. It’s raining or snowing.
4. They have to take their wife to the theater, where they usually just nap through half the play because it’s "boring."
5. The sun is hitting them in the face.
6. Holding up a piece of paper for a card stunt is apparently too much physical and mental labor.

But, once the New York Yankees or Chicago come to town, suddenly they’ve gotta be at the stadium decked out in six different scarves and wearing a beer cap, making paper airplanes out of the card stunt sheets because it’s "cool." Then, the second the LA Galaxy blow by three goals, these same fans bail thirty minutes before the whistle and disappear for a year for one of those reasons listed above.

To draw a parallel to your "screw the 1% of morons" comment:

1. Screw that 1% of morons who only listen to pop country, because thanks to them, there’s nowhere left in Washington, D.C. to hear classic rock (maybe two clubs left).

2. Screw that 1% of idiots behind the wheel who think street racing on city streets is safe; I wonder what happens when a normal driver gets wrecked because of them.

3. Screw that 1% of dog owners who don't pick up after their puppy's crap.

4. Screw that 1% of idiot pedestrians who think it's a great idea to sprint across a three-lane road where the speed limit is 44 miles/h.

Totally off-topic, but that's just how it is.👍
Roger Allen3 said:Man, seriously, we actually have quarterfinals this year. We've never even had quarterfinals before.😕

Exactly.😁
It’s six groups of four teams. The top two move on, while the other two play for some consolation ranking or whatever.
Then they form two groups of six. They carry over points from the previous rounds.
From what I gather, the top 4 teams from each group advance straight to the quarterfinals.

Whenever those Spaniards finally decide to get their act together and stop screwing us over.
There’s nothing more shady than them.
Alright, I figured I’d jump in here too🙂>
I only bother showing up to this forum when there's handball on the line🙏>

Regarding the topic, let them kick him out...
If the "little guys" are gonna act like total pricks over every tiny little thing, they might as well start now with these "slightly bigger" players too.
And honestly, it’d be freaking perfect if the "big shots" finally got what was coming to them next.🙏

I mean, what kind of skill set do you even need to moderate Teens? The former moderator asked for two new mods because she just couldn't deal with the job anymore. She actually suggested people who caught her eye. Nobody’s got a problem with them, the owner gives the green light, and boom—you’ve got two new Teens moderators right there.😁

😁And honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that I have no clue what you're even on about...

Look😁
Basically, when a current forum mod realizes they need a hand, or they're just totally burnt out... they ask for a replacement. They either suggest someone themselves—since they actually know how this place works—or they pick one of their fellow mods. Then we get a group of potential candidates together and hash it out. Once a decision is made, we reach out to the candidate to see if they're actually down to moderate. If they say yes, then we just wait for the big boss to give the green light.
It also happens that someone will just slide into a moderator or admin's DMs to volunteer. From there, the process is exactly the same (assuming it's actually determined that we even need a mod in that spot, the current mod isn't against it, and the boss gives the okay).

That’s pretty much the gist of it. If anyone needs more specifics, just hit me up.😁
