Yeah... standing up to your parents is an art form. 😬
Especially when things get messy like this.
I wouldn't know what to tell you since I’m only hearing one side of the story. I have zero clue what her side looks like or what she's dealt with in her life. That doesn't give her a free pass to act however she wants, obviously, but it's all part of the process you have to deal with.
Honestly, stop stressing so much—you're just hurting yourself. Focus on your own lane and getting independent ASAP. You're 27 now; even with a degree, you really should be further along in that journey.

And yeah. If your mom decides to call a plumber, even if it's a Sunday, that's her call. You just have to "respect" it—meaning, don't meddle, even if you know how to fix it yourself and think calling someone is totally irrational. It's not your job to understand her logic in moments like that, and if you try, you'll just end up spiking your own blood pressure.
Listening to Cave from my room was such a vibe 😬

You're 20 and already finishing up an economics degree? 😕 😕
WTF, econ takes five years 😲

Anyway, if the data is that inconsistent, why on earth would anyone even consider using it for medical purposes?
And one more thing: has anyone here actually ever heard of someone dying from a marijuana overdose?

Didn't really feel like writing a whole post, but this part I bolded caught my eye..
As a medical professional, I did my rotations in psych and addiction wards in Chicago.
We’d have these long talks with the head nurses and social workers.. one session lasted an hour and a half..
And what we learned... man, I wish I had a recorder so I could play it for you guys.
Then you wouldn't be talking such nonsense.
Look, dear, saying you can overdose on Marijuana and die sounds ridiculous right now, and you probably think you're being smart by saying it, but it's not that simple.

Using Marijuana definitely contributes to mental health issues—looking at you, schizophrenia and chronic depression.
If you look at the stats, a huge number of people with those diagnoses were constant Marijuana users before moving on to harder stuff.
No, Marijuana isn't harmless, especially if there's an underlying foundation like depression or life problems where you don't see a way out.
It's time to stop with the stories about how Marijuana cleans your lungs or whatever. You're not just talking trash, you're spreading misinformation that naive people might actually believe.
Believe it or not.. it all depends on that foundation, your mental state, and your emotional headspace when you start using substances. Those factors make it much more likely that a person will keep going and move on to much stronger stuff.
I get that someone might light up just for fun, maybe two or three times a year, without any real issues.. there's a low chance of addiction there, no "foundation" involved.
But if you talk to most addicts in the ward, 95% started with Marijuana, 95% had an underlying issue, and 95% have major problems now.

And you still think Marijuana is harmless?
Grow up.

These are basically the words of a head nurse, which is what I could remember right now.. after listening for ninety minutes, if I put in more effort, I'd remember the rest.
Female sterilization: What are your thoughts? in Women's Health ·
Tubal ligation isn't even 100% foolproof... my OB-GYN professor actually explained why... But whatever, I don't remember a single damn thing from that lecture, probably because we always had those classes first thing in the morning 😬

Tell us what you think—should marijuana be legalized, at least for medical use?

screw you and all your clueless buddies

lol, you really wearing flats in this heat?
Ditch the spray and grab some fancy sandals instead. Let your feet actually breathe for once. 😬

based on how much medical stuff I've actually read, you probably haven't even finished a middle school book report.
so i don't need to act smart 👍
^Give me a break. If he actually had heart issues—like you’ve already diagnosed him with, lol—he would’ve seen a doctor ages ago.
You claimed they’d send him straight to a cardiologist first? Yeah, right. Totally wrong.
You're forgetting basic blood work. You run those routine labs first, see what's up, and then go from there.
coppermason16 said:can you even function on your own?
first thing I’d suggest is getting a full checkup with a primary care doctor, they'll probably send you to an internist—maybe a cardiologist--you need to get your whole system checked out.
not trying to play doctor here, just saying go see a professional.

you been sick?
i'd suggest some vitamins but idk how you'd react,
if this is just how you're built i'll give you some tips, but if it's from something else, i'm staying out of it,

you even eating?

LMAO hahahahaha
sometimes it's better to just shut up

OP, go see a GP. First they'll send you for blood work and to check your thyroid levels.
low T3 and T4 levels are usually why people stay chronically thin. why haven't you seen a doctor yet?
If it is your thyroid, you'll get the right meds.
Trust me, it's got nothing to do with cardiology🤣
Also, my advice: start hitting the gym more, like a real workout routine. You can probably find a nutritionist near downtown Chicago or wherever. If you hit the weights, definitely grab some protein powder (don't mix that up with steroids or creatine)—I know plenty of guys who used that combo to bulk up.👍
+ someone already mentioned B-complex, you can grab those at any CVS, the stuff from Nature Made should work fine,$17 just pick some up.👍
