Just look at those actors—you've got the clean-cut guy with the perfect smile, and then you have the father figure played by Marlon Brando.

It feels more like a crime thriller than a war movie, even if WWII serves as the backdrop.

Actually, I think the war victim story is even better—Michael J. Fox really gave us his best performance there.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062038/ This one is an older, somewhat forgotten gem—but honestly? It’s a total masterpiece of its genre. Omar Sharif and Peter O'Toole were just brilliant in their roles here.

I honestly think people underrate this movie. I watched it ages ago, but it really stuck with me as a solid piece of filmmaking. When it comes to those big mainstream war movies, my favorites have always been Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, The Thin Red Line, and Saving Private Ryan.

Have you ever seen Sahara? It's that war movie starring James Blush.

metastases and zg80 👍

Maybe sing something romantic? That’d be just as good.

You really are being a handful, aren't you?😁

I pulled it off

Same old story, honestly—just one of those things, I guess.

Don't tell me I posted the same link twice again? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1321870/ This is the one I meant to share.

When it comes to comedies, this movie https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1321870/ is pretty much at the top of my list.

this is easily one of my all-time favorites, right up there with *Groundhog Day*

Who knows, right?

Personally, I'd take *Groundhog Day* or *The Spy Who Came in from the Cold* any day—those just hit different for me. In that whole trilogy of films by Woody Allen, I'd say this one is actually the weakest link.

wiredfox said:I wasn't really a fan of that one

I guess I might be the only one who didn't like it...

Yeah, you definitely are😁

wiredfox said:I'll definitely check it out—looks pretty solid.

The one I watched was just okay, honestly.

It’s a great way to kill some time. If you haven't seen L.A. Confidential yet, give that a shot if you like this genre... it's similar vibes, just way higher quality.

If you're a fan of the classics, I can't recommend Death Wish 1 & 2 starring Charles Bronson enough. They made a remake with Bruce Willis, but honestly? It doesn't even come close to the original.
