God bless Jesus and Mary

always blessed

I was thinking a dedicated thread would be great for this forum—basically one central hub where users could drop interesting soccer clips. Whether they're current highlights or deep cuts from years ago, if you think more people should see them, post them here. Right now, everything just gets lost across dozens of different threads. I'm talking about incredible goals, skill compilations, stadium choreographies, fan celebrations, interviews, or even classic old matches. It would all belong in one place.

Something along these lines:

FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 in Soccer ·
Soccer is nonsense, and women’s soccer is even worse. A woman who actually takes care of herself shouldn't be chasing a ball; she should be focusing on her children.

🙏🙏

It’s just a massive waste of money, throwing funds at organizing these pointless events.
no man left behind 🙂

we did our part. that whole permanent thing was just a joke. the scales have been balanced, justice served—if he’s meant to get his due, he will, and if not, then so be it.
neonfalcon16 said:Who knows? Maybe we’ll actually get a beautiful ending to this whole holiday season story. It is honestly quite touching to see the opposing sides finally unite for something truly noble, where club loyalty and personal egos become completely irrelevant. 😍

Whatever. They forced us together just like how the old US military used to force different factions to play nice back in the day. ☕

But it’s all for nothing. We’re still going to run into each other eventually in Valhalla. ☕

The die-hards won't ever let this go.

Never.

Never.

PS, looking ahead to the New Year—for everyone who hasn't found it yet, I hope you find the love of your life.

On Reddit, there’s always been this loose list of users hovering right on the edge of being banned, so if one finally went down, nobody would have blinked. Some people loved seeing it, others hated it—we actually just had a heated debate about everyone's taste in moderation on the chat recently—but even then, it wouldn't have been a shock. This time, however, we're all genuinely caught off guard, which is exactly why Charles Roberts33 dragged us over here. ☕

This is a solid summary of how everything went down. I wasn’t exactly thrilled when Ster or Silvan got permabanned, but let’s be real—they were warned. They kept pushing the envelope despite the warnings, acting out and getting under everyone's skin; I can see why someone eventually lost their patience. But Cinque? He’s never been a nuisance and has never even seen a warning, yet suddenly he's hit with a permanent ban. Honestly, what the hell? None of us here have ever really commented on the moderation or bothered to write anything on this subreddit, but this whole situation forced our hand. That alone speaks volumes about how bizarre this decision was. To put it in soccer terms: it’s like if Iniesta picked up a red card in the 25th minute just for a minor foul in the midfield. It feels like a pure show of force from the mods—punishing people just because they can, acting like they're as untouchable as NATO.

rustydrifter10 said:Cinque didn't even bother complaining about the ban. Honestly, this kind of advocacy feels pretty pointless if you aren't actually talking to the person involved. When we're deciding whether to lift or reduce a penalty, the most important thing is understanding the individual's perspective and their reasoning.

Thanks for the links, but going forward, it would be helpful if you included at least one direct link to the subject of the complaint—like a profile or a specific post from the user in question. You spelled their handle several different ways here, so I had to play detective just to figure out who I was actually looking for. 🙂

Cinque didn't even bother complaining. He’s such a stickler for the rules that he clearly just swallowed the decision whole, even if it was wrong. If he were actually the moron people claim—the kind of guy who would let a single bad incident drive him to go on a bender—he’d be here right now causing a scene, acting like an idiot, or trying to start some cult.

Whether someone is actually guilty or innocent, or if their punishment was justified or not—it honestly doesn't matter much. Their personal feelings about it don't change the reality of the situation. If a penalty is too harsh, then the permanent ban should be lifted, and at that point, the choice to post or stay silent belongs entirely to them.

The moderators over at the soccer subreddits are nowhere near being active or actually engaged with the community, let alone running a flawless operation.

Bryan Adams6 said:Why stir up all this drama on the PDF thread and here too? Was it really that much of a struggle to just sit tight and wait for TJ to show up and satisfy your curiosity?

Look, since TJ (who, in my opinion, is easily the most active moderator we have) hasn't logged on in over a month, it was honestly a bit tough just sitting around waiting for him to remember to do this so the question could finally be brought up.

We actually went to ask informally on a local Reddit thread first, just so it wouldn't look like we were attacking you guys or calling people out—we figured maybe you had info that we were missing. But apparently, the guy just got a permanent ban because he felt like handing it out to TJ; he was just having one of those days.

Bryan Adams6 said:It’s also worth noting that the very first post in this thread stated clearly that this topic is not intended for things like this, but apparently, some people just don't give a damn about the forum rules.

🤣 Real classy. It’s touching how much you all care about your colleague—taking forty-five days to realize he’s gone. You guys really are something else...

Look, we didn't want to jump the gun. We knew he deserved some kind of penalty, but nothing extreme. 🤷

We only reacted once the full picture became clear. We aren't really the type to post about everything here; I personally prefer settling things informally among ourselves, without all the drama.

I mean, Cinque himself isn't even the main issue right now. If he has any self-respect, he won't be coming back even if you lift the ban. You've purged people like Mamić firing a coach, but my point is simply that you're ruining the integrity of the forum. If permanent bans are handed out consistently for offenses like Cinque's, there won't be anyone left here in a year. Not that it would be a tragedy, let's be honest.

Bryan Adams6 said:If you're unhappy, take it up with the higher-ups. We'll step aside and leave the space to those who are better suited for it. 🙂

Oh, we're unhappy. What we actually need is some political appointee who doesn't even read the handbook, just so they can keep us under control and lecture us on "proper communication" like DJ does.

As a long-time veteran of this forum, Mr. Charles Roberts33, surely you should know better.

So, is there anything else I need to add to that? 😁

In the opening post, you were even provided with a link directing you to the exact place where such inquiries belong.

The more pressing issue here is why you, Mr. Charles Roberts33, feel entitled to an explanation regarding why another user was granted premium status. Are you his authorized representative? Or have you somehow installed yourself as some sort of internal forum audit committee?

My stubborn streak just won't let this go☕. I haven't been on this forum since yesterday; all this time, I've never commented on how the moderation works, nor have I ever asked you for any actual involvement—not to format files, nor to remove people who irritate me. I’ve simply engaged by starting discussions and opening threads. This time, however, I am reacting because I know you are one hundred percent in the wrong. By ignoring the response, you've made it clear to everyone that you aren't even following the community guidelines.

Cinque didn't just leave "some" quality posts; eighty percent of his contributions were top-tier. You could actually learn something from him, or at least have a laugh. In short, he was a model citizen, never problematic—which you wouldn't know if you actually read the rules. Therefore, granting premium status after a single, somewhat blunt incident is a scandalous, nonsensical move that has seriously damaged the integrity of our community standards, a sentiment shared by about a dozen other users.

Moderation on the Soccer board has devolved into nothing but handing out cards, deleting posts, and issuing bans, simply because certain individuals have decided this is their own private playground where they make all the rules. There needs to be a baseline level of communication on this forum. Cinque was banned for being verbally abusive toward other members. The fact that he wrote a few decent posts doesn't grant him amnesty in cases like this.
And no, I wasn't the one who banned him.

Let's be honest, you really have no idea what you're doing.😁

There are no criteria whatsoever. What passes today will be worthy of premium tomorrow. Something said by one user is perfectly fine, but if someone else says the exact same thing—someone who isn't part of the "inner circle"—then suddenly it's not okay.
I’ve opened a new thread on the subreddit to file a formal complaint regarding how this moderation team handles these furniture sets. There’s no bread, God is high, and the king is far away—but please, chime in if you have anything to contribute. At least #let them see we exist , assuming we actually exist at all.

God and Mary help us

Since I first joined this forum, I’ve never once hit the report button, filed a complaint, or reached out to the moderation team with suggestions on how to run things. I respect people's time, and I know you have to listen to absolute nonsense from idiots sometimes. Honestly, the characters here trying to enforce "justice" over a few minor infractions have always been laughable to me. But the continuous degradation of the one specific sub-forum where I actually write became so unbearable that, for the first time ever, I felt compelled to step up. Though, given how sloppy this entire site has become, I’m not exactly expecting any miracles.

The reason I’m starting this thread is the status of user Cinque. It looks like he’s been permanently banned following some minor incident, despite being one of the most high-quality and productive contributors to the Soccer sub-forum for years. He genuinely makes this place better with his posts. We've seen plenty of removals like this before, and while some had at least a hint of logic behind them—unlike this—it seems the rest of the active users feel the same way.

None of this would even be an issue if one of the 17 moderators had the decency to explain themselves. If we knew the reasoning, maybe we could see some sense in it—maybe understand what actually constitutes a "gross violation" of the rules versus what doesn't. Instead, when asked for clarity, the entire moderation team just stays silent. They offer zero answers. It’s classic behavior for this board: handing out warnings, deleting posts, and banning people without a shred of communication. They act like they’re above it all.

If none of the moderators can manage this sub-forum properly—and moderation shouldn't just be about banning and deleting—then have enough integrity to just step down.
The only acceptable way forward is to unban Cinque and immediately strip that butcher who sliced him up in the prime of this forum's youth from his moderator position. Honestly, whoever decided to pull a move like that clearly hasn't been reading the threads; they have zero clue about this user's history here. The guy is easily one of the most constructive contributors on the entire site. Sure, he occasionally goes quiet when life gets in the way, but damn it 🤷

He’ll think it’s hilarious right up until I corner him behind the high school after the final bell and whisper something creepy in his ear. ☕

That’s basically the level of humor we're dealing with. High schooler vibes, peak adolescent immaturity.

And if there’s a moderator lurking, please fix that typo in the title. I don't want everyone thinking I can't spell.

You’re a real Badger, kid. 🤷

The topic is actually pretty straightforward—designed specifically for the simpletons on this forum who can only process an "A or B" choice before retreating into their usual repetitive, mindless banter. Still, there's theoretically some room here for actual discussion and gaining real insight if anyone is capable of it.

But fine. Thanks for the feedback letting me know my effort was wasted. I won't bother again. 😍

Feel free to lock this thread as far as I'm concerned, unless these clowns still want to hang around and smirk at themselves.

Vote for which squad is superior among these pairings. Personally, I think it might be interesting to vote for the best player from each year as well.

You have three days.
God bless Jesus and Mary

Watching AT&T, I’ve always found it fascinating when certain criteria highlight a massive imbalance in player quality between different birth years. You get one generation overflowing with class, while the next feels almost barren. It’s an interesting phenomenon highlighted by various studies ☕. So, last spring, I had this idea: why not assemble an "all-time best eleven" for every single birth year? I want to see exactly how much the talent levels fluctuate from one year to the next. When I say "assemble," I mean I'll take existing "best of" lineups and tweak them according to my own vision.

The goal here is simple: find the greatest footballing birth year of all time. To keep things manageable for a tournament format, I’m focusing on players born between Godwin's 1920 and 1999. This gives us eight groups, where the top four from each initial voting phase will advance to form a final field of 32.

To kick things off, teams are grouped by decade (one group for the 20s, one for the 30s, etc.). These will be split into five pairings where we’ll vote on which decade boasts the superior talent. After those five rounds, we’ll hold one more vote to eliminate the weakest link among those five, leaving us with the four strongest decades. From there, we’ll have our 32 candidates to move into a standard knockout bracket until we crown a winner.

Once we’ve visualized what each era offers through these tactical lineups, we can dive into the inevitable debates: was the football actually better back then? Were there truly more superstars, or just more hype? Maybe some forgotten legends deserve a second look.

A quick disclaimer on the formations: the goal isn't necessarily to build a cohesive squad that could actually win a match on a Sunday afternoon. It's about cramming as much pure talent from a specific year into a semi-logical structure as possible. Of course, if a particular year has enough elite players to form a legitimate, functional team, that should serve as a testament to just how deep that year's talent pool really was. I’ll start with the 90s—they're the most recent and the perfect way to warm up.
