Look, you can't blame the media when people act like mindless cattle, just swallowing whatever garbage gets shoved down their throats. Honestly, at this rate, they might as well start rounding up the herd and marching them along like livestock...

Listen to you. "Cattle." People. You really are a joy, aren't you? We shouldn't be using terms like that to belittle our neighbors, should we? 😉.

It’s unrealistic to expect the masses to remain completely immune to panic and negativity when it spreads like wildfire through our daily lives—lives that are increasingly crowded by the voices and articles of little journalists, hacks, and the endless army of influencers. It’s becoming vital to protect the population from this toxic media influence. And how better to do that than through strict information filtering? ☕.

I’m not talking about the reporters who actually take their jobs seriously; there are still some of those left. But there are far too many who cause immense damage through sensationalism, dumbing down the discourse, and peddling negativity. They do more harm than we even realize. They do it every single day, and without consequence. It's unacceptable.

Honestly, the media has far too much freedom when it comes to their mission of spreading hysteria and general negativity.

A bit more oversight and a slightly more liberal application of censorship might actually do us all some good.😉

Is the fear of earthly existence getting to you just because you're an atheist? 😉

Nothing left for us, boys. This is it. Man, what a ride we've had.

Ugh, it's not the end of the world. I'm not afraid to die.☕

If anyone’s got enough (virtual) balls to actually step up to this, you've got a few days left to sign up.

Wait, so as a moderator, you're actually openly encouraging people to gamble? That's easily one of the biggest plagues of our era—and of sports itself.🤮🤮

Gambling is an absolute EVIL. The sooner everyone realizes that and stops handing their money over to bookies and creating new addicts, the better off we all are.

brightpilot6 said:How are you supposed to deal with a group that treats the word "vulgar" like a personal assault? You can't. There's really no way to win.

The only thing left to do is keep a record of those who have made themselves notorious. Paul Martinez73, Charles Roberts33, Justin James10, and Noah Roberts46. While most of them don't particularly surprise me, there is one among them that truly leaves me wondering. ☕

Oops, my bad—looks like we've officially made the list. 😢

😂

I’m curious—what exactly did you decide was an "attack" in my argument that prompted you to build this whole defense around it? 🤔 Your entire tone is hyper-defensive. The moment anyone disagrees with you—not just here, but in basically every single thread you've ever touched—you snap.

Regardless of how the debate is going, it’s never enough for you if the other person is simply wrong. They have to be stupid, brainwashed, uninformed, corrupt, or malicious too. You refuse to even consider why someone might see things differently. But hey, you're certainly not the only over-sensitive person on this board.

It’s fine for now, as long as they haven't started coming after us yet. But if we keep this up, those dog owners are going to start picking fights. Just look at Zidankovic over there—he's clearly getting worked up because we aren't exactly fans of his Lajs.

brightpilot6 said:I’m honestly starting to wonder if some people actually take "dog in a restaurant" literally—do they imagine a canine perched on a chair using silverware, or am I just overthinking it? 🤔

Then again, I highly doubt half of them have ever ventured further than a local roadside BBQ shack, where chairs aren't even an afterthought, let alone a luxury. ☕

In any case, I’m just relieved we’ve finally addressed this burning crisis of decadent Western civilization, a topic that clearly weighs so heavily on the average American.

My apologies to anyone among them who doesn't fit that particular description. ☕

Well, bravo, genius. That was the only thing missing. So, according to you, anyone who doesn't care for your dogs—or fails to grasp the sheer, blissful privilege of being in their esteemed company—is nothing more than some uncultured lowlife from the backwaters. Bravo, truly. Round of applause for that one.

Good grief. It’s truly a gift, isn't it? To walk into every single debate with this desperate need to prove you're the most stubborn person in the room—ready to take shots at anyone who dares disagree—while being completely incapable of actually listening to a word they say. That kind of selective hearing is quite a talent.

It was denim jeans with sexy suspenders, my personal favorite pair. ☕

Larry Fox5 said:The dog isn't sitting in a chair or licking plates—it’s under the table, literally out of sight. Honestly, I have no clue how any sane person could be bothered by that, whether they love dogs or not...

And why even bother complaining about "badly behaved" pets when we should probably be talking about certain people instead?

I mean, what’s the real difference between sitting next to a dog that keeps bugging its owner to get into their food, versus some guy at the next table who farts every thirty seconds?

If I actually wanted to eat surrounded by animals—their smells, their noise, their staring—I’d head straight into the woods among wild beasts or go to the zoo. I wouldn't choose a place where you’re supposed to clean up and be presentable before arriving—a task even a pedigreed breed reluctantly performs—and where you're spending money specifically to feel comfortable. When someone parks themselves right next to me with a dog without a second thought, I take it as a provocation and a total lack of respect, even if I’d much sooner be kicked out by some Neanderthals who have zero sense of social etiquette.

Look, I get it. You love your dogs. You've made that clear, you want to be together, but you can't always be. And just because you can go everywhere doesn't mean they should have open access to every door you walk through.

Honestly, if we're going to allow them into restaurants, why not hospitals or libraries? For every single public institution or building, I bet you could find a "valid" reason why it wouldn't be so terrible to welcome dogs too.

Larry Fox5 said:Humans have dumped over 150 million tons of plastic waste into the world's oceans. Here in America, we pump out about 375 pounds of trash per person every single year.

So now we're suddenly "clean," but a dog is a "filthy animal" just because it marked a tree in the park? Give me a break.

No animal's "messiness" or damage can even begin to compare to what humans do... seriously.

Alright, fair enough. I get where you're coming from—humans can be pretty filthy creatures. Point taken.

Then again, I don't want to see dogs where people eat, I don't want them in restaurants or grocery stores, and frankly, I don't want some random dog lunging at me with muddy paws.
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
It’s not the dogs that are the problem—it’s the owners. That’s just common sense. 😬

We shouldn't be banning dogs. Why would anyone even think that's what I want?
Dog owners seriously need to learn how to be responsible with their pets. It's long overdue. If education doesn't work, then we need fines. The city isn't their private property; not everyone enjoys their pets, their smells, or the constant noise they make.
What really gets to me, though, is seeing people walking their dogs without leashes. And I’m talking about those massive beasts, like Rottweilers, which I hear are total sweethearts, but how can you guarantee they won't have an unpredictable reaction? Honestly, it gives me the chills just watching it.

So, I’m walking down the street one day, and right in my path stands this guy with a creature that looks like your run-of-the-mill local mutt on a leash. As I get closer, the dog starts snarling at me—totally predictable. I wasn't about to swerve or change my direction just to avoid them; I could have, obviously, but I figured common decency dictates the owner should be the one to make the move. But no, screw him, he’s too busy staring at his phone. So, I keep walking toward them, they stay planted, the dog cranks up the aggression with more barking, and then—bam. Just as I’m passing them, the little coward lunges and nips my pant leg, holding on with this predatory tugging. Honestly, what a nightmare experience that was for Bajronković.

After all the back-and-forth, it doesn't matter; we’re adults now, and everything can be settled through conversation, though if I’m being honest, I’d love to give both of them a piece of my mind. It's just an anecdote, and people have millions of these every single day. Still, I think there will come a day when we have to ask: is there ever going to be an end to the arrogance of dog owners?

Letting these filthy animals roam the streets without a leash as if they own their own backyard puts pedestrians and traffic at risk. They let them mark everything in sight, dig up the sidewalks, and mess up the streets, or even sit in outdoor restaurant areas. I find it hard to believe the tolerance of the silent majority will stay this high for much longer. And go ahead, let the dog lovers get offended again.

I wasn't even going to bring up that assault case because I don't know enough about the specifics, and honestly, if you aren't fully informed, it’s usually better to just stay quiet. But apparently, a few people on Reddit are now confirming that the guy is a total scumbag on top of everything else.

Of course his death is going to hit people harder. When someone spends their life pulling off those signature free throws and actually inspiring people, they leave a mark. It's not like some random nobody. You can bet the media will be dragging this story out for weeks.

Elizabeth Mendoza said:Look, I get that you're special, but if I actually have to explain the difference between some random nobody passing away and a legend who spent decades making life better for millions of sports fans, smashing records, winning championships, elevating the entire game, and being a massive role model and inspiration to thousands of athletes globally... then we've got a problem.

Seriously though... you're so unique that you don't even need to pay attention.

Edit: It’s not like I’m overly devastated by the loss of people I don't know—I feel for anyone who passes away—but obviously, when someone famous on a global scale dies, it hits harder. So many of us grew up following these icons, reading about them every day, watching them on TV, playing games about them, or seeing them in movies.

Oh sure, man, nothing in reality is ever going to be as valuable or as close to the heart as all that treasure we're surrounded by in video games and on TV, in 👍. Kobe Bryant's dunks, Space Jam—that's the stuff. We grew up with those things; they shaped who we are. I totally get you, buddy👍

To you, an old woman dying in a nursing home is just some nameless grandma, but to me, my mind goes to how that could have been my own grandmother (even though she isn't in a home, you just make those instinctive connections). And even if it wasn't mine, it was someone's, and likely someone close. Honestly, when those reckless kids crashed their car recently, you commented on it stone-cold, calling it "natural selection." That just shows me that you, my little Arsenal FC fan, are a cold individual without empathy, living in some sort of personal simulation.

It's a given that news of a tragedy involving a famous name will echo through the media while an anonymous tragedy won't, but that doesn't mean it should resonate more deeply with us.
People ought to care more about their neighbors, their colleagues, or even a potential neighbor or colleague, than some celebrity entertainer they have zero actual connection to, aside from some imagined bond. Nobody I know died in a private helicopter, but theoretically, someone could burn up in a nursing home.
Setting Kobe aside, or setting aside those retirees who were news for exactly two days before vanishing, there are people today where you can only squeeze out a human reaction when a semi-famous person meets a bad end, yet they remain completely indifferent to the fates of ordinary people just like themselves.

ruggedjackal46 said:Look, it’s only human to react when someone who actually meant something to you passes away. Of course I feel for the people lost in that nursing home, or those dying in the Middle East, Ukraine, or China, but Kobe Bryant’s death feels personal to me. I remember watching the NBA back when I was just a kid, reading basketball magazines... even my very first jersey was a cheap plastic one of his I picked up at a drugstore. He was a constant in my life, a fixture in pop culture. And now he’s gone in such a senseless way. I feel bad about it, ☕. If being willing to accept that critique makes me a target for harsh judgment on this forum regarding human hypocrisy, then so be it. I'll carry that cross.

Look, there's no judgment intended here, and I know you weren't coming from a bad place. It’s just striking how people tend to obsess over these vague, trivial matters that barely touch their lives, while completely overlooking the things actually right in front of them.

I don't really follow them much anymore; more like watching highlights and reading between the lines. I've actually sat through six matches this season.

In an American nursing home, someone you actually know could go up in flames, yet you find yourself more invested in some nameless old woman and her fate than in a legendary figure whose work inspired you to pull a clown act at your high school talent show once in a while.

A few days ago, a nursing home out in rural Pennsylvania burned down, taking six immobile residents with it. It was a horrific way to go—truly one of the worst possible deaths—yet I haven’t seen much of a public outcry over it. Meanwhile, the second some billionaire crashes his toy, everyone starts shedding crocodile tears.

The way people behave is interesting.🍿
