A buddy of mine is asking for a solid wireless mouse recommendation, specifically one with insane range. Here’s the catch: his PC is on the ground floor, but he wants to use the mouse from the basement. We're talking through concrete and about 30 feet of distance. He says his current setup actually works down there, but he needs just another 10 feet of reach to hit the spot where he wants to sit.

I don't know the first thing about mice, so does anyone have any suggestions?

So, I just got a citation in my mailbox for a vehicle tow—specifically for the mere act of a parking enforcement officer showing up at $83. Here’s the deal: it was Saturday morning, and I had to run to the hospital (St. Jude) for maybe five minutes. By the time I got back, the tow truck was already there. I told the guy I was only gone for five minutes to hit the hospital, but he didn't care; he just hooked it up, and I left. Apparently, the fine is because I didn't leave a full foot of clearance for pedestrians (you can see in the photo I was damn close to that one-foot mark). Now I'm wondering if I'm going to get slapped with a police ticket on top of this, or if this is it. And how do I even fight this? I'm a student, so I definitely don't have the cash to drop on this. It was Saturday morning, I went to the hospital for five minutes, and I still left about 30 inches of space so people could walk through. What chance do I actually have with an appeal?

Of course I have the drivers, obviously... I don't know if you actually read my entire post, but after a restart, it WORKS. I downloaded them, installed them, and everything is fine, except every other time the keyboard and touchpad fail and the resolution gets trashed... so, in my opinion, this driver thing shouldn't even be an issue.

So, I just installed Windows 7 on my Toshiba p300-13J laptop. It runs great otherwise, but I’ve got this one annoying issue—every time I boot up, it defaults to some massive resolution (like 640x480, I think), and both the touchpad and keyboard stop working. A USB mouse works fine, though. I end up having to force a restart to get everything running properly. It doesn't happen every single time, but it feels like every other boot. Sometimes it's just the resolution acting up, sometimes it's just the peripherals, but usually, a reboot fixes it.

I'm wondering if this is just some beta bug, or if there's an actual way to fix this shit?

Quick question: can I actually mess with the Voltage Control on the Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H? I’ve poked around everywhere but I can't find that option—all I see is stuff for tweaking frequencies, multipliers, dividers, and all that other junk...
