Yeah. And honestly, they had a bit of extra stoppage time too.

Sibenik has actual quality; they just got blindsided when Gorica took an early lead. Then, right around the second goal, Rogic gets injured—if he hadn't been there, that defense would have completely fallen apart.

If you break down Gorica's goals, the first one is the only one where Bralic actually played like a striker.

The next three were basically due to Rogic's injury, even though Ndockyta's shot was killer, followed by a set piece and another set piece.😁

The only issue is I really don't see any depth in this Gorica squad. If they lose one or two key players, they're absolutely screwed.

San Diego played that classic West Coast style where they just sit back to defend a point, but once the game opened up, they completely lost their way.

Look, they'll be back next season, no need to panic. The competition in the G League isn't exactly an insurmountable wall right now.

As long as you don't completely fall apart, you're realistically 90% of the way back up next year.

Officiating in MLS has never been at such a high standard, despite all the constant pressure from the clubs and players.

It’s going to be an absolute war on the pitch.

Personally, I think San Diego earned their spot in the league. Gorica has shown some life lately, but they look thin to me. San Diego just has more depth. Their coach is squeezing everything out of them right now, but that level of intensity can't last forever. A couple of injuries or suspensions and this squad becomes half as good.

As for today, I’m expecting a draw and plenty of yellow cards flying around for both sides. But even then, that still leaves a solid +4 advantage for San Diego.

All that matters is that they aren't playing in the big leagues.

If they're talking about a second-division side, then it’s completely irrelevant. I don't have much of an issue with farm teams, even in the big leagues. The number of players out on loan is capped anyway, so it's not like there's any massive damage being done.

And now we’ve got this situation where teams like the Dodgers are just steamrolling over the Athletics, the Brewers, and everyone else in their path.
