I mean, even though I wasn't exactly Michael Schumacher's biggest fan, they used to mess with him and Ferrari constantly with all those rule changes and nonsense just to keep things interesting. And now, what’s happening with Lewis Hamilton feels like the exact same playbook for the same reasons. 🙂
I'm basically just waiting for the day they decide you aren't allowed to use a Mercedes, Ferrari, or BMW engine anymore. 😵
They'll probably end up making a rule where you can't have more than a five-point lead... like, imagine you win ten races in a row, but since you've got a five-point advantage, none of those wins actually count toward your total. 😁
And even if you think FIA doesn't care about Hamilton... honestly, guys, I don't think there's anything the FIA would love more than seeing Hamilton clinch that title. A Black champion, on top of being British? That would be like hitting a hundred consecutive jackpots in the Powerball....
Total corruption... was it when that dark-clad driver ended up in the gravel last year, or when he kept messing up during that last race? I mean, maybe the officials had a hand in that too?
Who can really blame him? He probably should have just played it cool through that second turn and tried again later, but... yeah, he got what he deserved.
And why didn't Ferrari get hit with stuff like that? Is it because they aren't run by idiots who don't know the rules? Or does it happen to them too... like when Massa went through a red light (if we follow the theory that everything is rigged, I guess Massa would've gotten away with it)? And let's not forget Schumacher parking his car... these things are just like in football—the ref makes a call and that's that. A lot of times, you could argue it either way and still justify your side... I guess that's just how sports works.
Does anyone know which specific part of the updated traffic code covers illegal passing on a solid line? I’m trying to figure out what the actual penalties are—like, how much is the fine and do they take away your license? I feel like I’ve combed through the whole legal code a bunch of times now, but I just can’t find anything strictly addressing passing over a solid line...
I actually hung out in the paddock at Indianapolis once! It wasn't even because of the team sponsors, but thanks to one of the track sponsors—some company that makes bathroom tiles, I think. I managed to snag autographs from Microsoft, Rubens Barrichello (back when he was with Ferrari), Juan Pablo Montoya, Red Bull Racing (they were with Williams back then!), and even DC Comics. The Renault crew weren't really feeling it, though; I don't think I saw them anywhere at all.
***** Is a new wind tunnel even going to matter for Minardi? Honestly, they’ve been struggling just to stay within five seconds a lap—even Paul Stoddart admitted they can't see how they'd actually close that gap. And man, I bet Jordan is about to blow up just like Red Bull did. Why? First off, some big-shot billionaire owners are stepping in, people who clearly care more about the bottom line than anything else, which means we might actually see some serious cash pumped into the crew, kind of like what happened with Chelsea. Second, the Russian backers basically admitted they aren't investing right now because they "don't want to promote a brand still called Jordan." Once they flip the switch to Midland F1 next season, that's when the real money starts flowing. Plus, there's a good chance they'll jump over to Michelin next year, which would be a total game-changer since Bridgestone has been pretty much garbage lately... That'll probably leave Minardi stuck in the dust forever, mostly because there won't even be anyone left for them to chase. Sadly, I think this is gonna screw over Schumacher too, since Ferrari will be the only team left on Bridgestone tires alongside Minardi. Minardi isn't getting Michelin because, let's face it, Bridgestone and Ferrari are still cutting them enough checks for testing (even if that guy Stoddart keeps whining about spending more on tests than he gets back from Bridgestone)
Honestly, I’d take those old-school rules from back in 2000 any day, especially when it comes to qualifying. With these new formats, I can't even bring myself to watch the first 20 minutes!
Man, you’ve barely even started and you’re already claiming he’s the GOAT... alright then... But you say he isn't really one of ours just because this is an American forum? I mean, your writing style doesn't even sound totally American, you know? It's got a bit of a weird regional vibe to it... if you catch my drift.
It seems like everyone is busy bragging about their favorite rides, so I figured I’d jump in too! link: www.f1-enthusiast.us And hey, I don't want to be the only one sharing the love, so here's another site I don't run myself, but it's pretty cool www.americanracinghub.com
Just wanted to make it clear that my site is a solo project—it's just me doing everything behind the scenes—so if anyone wants to lend a hand, I’m definitely all ears!
Yeah, I'm playing GP4 right now, but honestly, nothing beats Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2. For its time, the graphics were seriously impressive, and the physics just felt so spot on. You get total control over the car, plus that sweet split-screen mode if you want to go head-to-head with a friend... It’s a total legend. Such a bummer they never made any modern sequels!

Ugh, here we go again... I guess we might have to revive that old "Are these idiot commentators driving you crazy?" thread. Honestly, they're just hopeless. Every single time, I get this feeling like they're just talking in circles and actually know way less than we do. Anything they do manage to figure out just comes from their "colleagues over at CBS." And even then, I think they struggle just trying to translate everything correctly.
So, I figured I’d kick off a little debate about these new nose designs. I caught a glimpse of them during practice, and honestly? It’s kind of a disaster. The only thing keeping me sane is seeing my beloved Ford among the few that actually stuck with that gorgeous old nose design. Let’s dive into the most extreme case first—that BMW-Williamson nose. Look, I’m not even gonna question if it works, because man, it is just plain ugly... And judging by those qualifying results, it doesn't seem like it's doing much for them either. I mean, like Henry Ford once said, "Aerodynamics is for people who don't know how to build a good engine." But anyway, moving on from that hideous two-nostril mess from Williamson. Next up is McLaren. While Williams decided to keep their nose nice and wide, these guys went full arrow mode, tapering it down into this sharp point. It’s pretty gnarly looking, but I guess it beats the Williamson look. Though, based on what we're seeing, they aren't exactly killing it either. Then you've got Renault, which is basically the same story. Most of the others seem to be going with narrower noses too, including Ford, though that might just be an illusion since theirs look a bit longer.
You can say whatever you want, but let’s be real—Cameron has an incredible body. Seriously, her curves are just 👍
Did you guys know that while they were filming, the three of them actually had a dedicated crew on set? Their whole job was teaching them how to work their assets and making sure everything looked just as perfect as it does in the movies
