Ban in Feedback & Suggestions ·
So, I’ve been putting in two years of work and all I get is one month.
Go screw yourselves and go play games with someone else.

Since I clearly can't get my full payout, I guess I'll just take whatever's left of those remaining 23 months. Peace.

Jerry Robinson56 said:Look, Jeremy Johnson18 is smart and young—kind of like I used to be—but he’s forgetting one thing: getting back in isn't up to you. It's up to the moderators when you're trying to rejoin. 🕺Claiming it's "on demand" is just straight-up delusional.

I'm actually the one who pushed him toward becoming a mod. 😁
He'll make a great one if he doesn't lose his mind before then.

I'd rather walk away on my own terms than wait for some suit to kick me out unfairly.
Not gonna happen. ☕

What’s your take on permanent bans?

Why the hell are you being so disrespectful to the purple crowd?
I said they act like idiots sometimes, but this is getting pretty close to a straight-up insult.

I have my own reasons for poking the bear, but I don't actually think they're morons.

Yeah, I get it. 🙂
But honestly, if you actually put in the work and show you give a damn, you can usually find a way to land a gig.

Just be ready for the paycheck to be a bit of a letdown. 😬

Not happening here in the States.

neongull62 said:Duh, obviously the guy who pays the most while doing the least gets the call. This whole forum is basically a racket.

Then you just have to become an admin.
I don't think you're actually dumb enough to land that gig.

That’s pretty much the main requirement. ☕

Depends on which subforum you're running. Which one’s your favorite?
So, Jerry Robinson56, you honestly think logic is going to get us anywhere in this place? 😬

As for me—what kind of nonsense is this ban? Then I look up and my blood pressure hits the ceiling. He doesn't even moderate that section. And of course, I just get hit with canned responses.

One of the first things I suggested when I stepped up to mod was that people try taking a slightly different approach with you. Honestly, I thought it was just an issue with the politka side of things.
Obviously, that didn't work and I just ended up looking like a naive idiot, but I'm glad you and Andreja are on good terms now.

So, it actually works after all. 👍

From Nice—she's actually given me my biggest streak (can't say exactly how many, but it's a lot)

I keep a running tally of my cards, so I always know exactly who’s been hitting me up (not counting yellows)

At one point, I hit 990 points

The absolute peak, though—getting carded while you're already banned

🙏🤣

And why are you cool with the mods just messing with you?

You happy with this forum?
Your idea actually isn't half bad. To be fair, people have suggested it a few times before, but for some reason, it never gained any traction.

If I remember correctly, the Spokesperson was supposed to be someone acting as a mediator—someone to address these complaints and bridge the gap between the users and the moderators. Ideally, they'd actually look out for the users for once, just for a change of pace.
In the end, Maria Barnes just used the Spokesperson idea to troll a bit; she was like a little kid who gets a new toy and loses interest five minutes later.

He keeps insisting that things need to change, but honestly, he doesn't even like the idea because then everything wouldn't be run exactly his way anymore.

It serves as both a good and a bad example of exactly what Jeremy Johnson18 wrote immediately.
I suspect that big A would have been an excellent choice for this position. He possesses the necessary precision to cut through the noise, and frankly, you wouldn't be facing any dilemmas with the moderators. If anything, he’d simply become the designated scapegoat whenever someone decided to issue a condemnation.

Quote : Casey Bennett

I have never written anything on a mobile device before... but honestly, why should that change the fundamental nature of the discourse? I find myself being routinely banned simply for stating the truth, yet when insults are hurled directly at me, the moderators remain conspicuously silent. I occasionally let things slide, only to eventually step in and settle the matter myself, but it always feels like a struggle against mediocrity. My bite is real, or perhaps I am merely mistaken.

If you truly believe otherwise, then I suppose we have nothing further to discuss.

How interesting... I suppose I’ll only offer my response to you after your third little insinuation. It seems cheese was the only thing that could save you. Cuka Lancelot has been exonerated. 🙂

And that brings us to the most vital point of all. The issue isn't actually the rules themselves; it’s the moderator. It is their responsibility to uphold the established guidelines, yet they constantly choose to hide behind them as an excuse for their own inconsistencies.

It feels somewhat bizarre, doesn't it? Doesn't it strike you as a bit strange?

I don't bother reading between the lines; that’s a pastime for amateurs. I prefer to analyze the actual words chosen, their specific arrangement, and the subtle weight of their accentuation. It isn't strictly paraverbal communication, but it certainly comes close.
It is a deeply unsettling experience when one's own words are eventually turned back against them.

Doesn't it strike you that things are just fundamentally designed this way?

I am reading until my eyes ache. 😉

The issue isn't that you were thinking; it’s that your reasoning was fundamentally flawed. I have no intention of engaging in whatever wordplay you're attempting to hide between the lines. (There is a missing line here.)

I am being entirely serious here, though I suppose one could argue otherwise. One should aim for the absolute pinnacle of excellence; dip the tip of the arrow in honey. Something akin to a major undertaking. A

And even then, soon enough, I won't have lasted long enough.

If you see things that clearly, then I really have to wonder why I was banned under your direct supervision. 😁 It is a relentless descent from one absurdity to the next, punctuated by a constant stream of insults. I find myself perpetually attempting to instruct them on matters they have failed to grasp over years of self-important posturing—despite their unwavering conviction in their own supposed brilliance. It is quite a spectacle, isn't it? I am presented with this concentrated essence of ignorance, only for them to turn around and start banning the few people actually making sense.

It wasn't exactly an insult, mind you; your offer was quite generous in its own right. However, there simply isn't enough intellect present here to bridge the gap between that offer and the actual result.

Maria Barnes doesn't love it when I get too blunt, especially if what I'm saying isn't exactly what she wants to hear, and I'm clearly not great at sugarcoating things or making them sound pretty. 😁
Why don't you just scrap that idea entirely and start a clone instead?
It’ll probably take them a few days to even catch on. 🍿
Larry Walker24 said:Casey, once the main root is locked down, you lose access to all the sub-files under that root too.

Like, take the beautiful us section or the Washington, D.C. section—if a user still has access to the main beautiful us file, they're fine.

But if you restrict the main root, the user loses everything. It's like having a main root called beautiful us and a sub-root called Washington, D.C. If you grant partial access to the NYC file, the user can still see the beautiful us file. But if you restrict the beautiful us file, the user won't even be able to see the NYC file.

So, say there's a wolf and a bunch of sheep—we could have made the COVID-19 file its own thing, and kept the Skeptics in a separate file.

Then we could have put the COVID-19 file under partial access while leaving the Skeptic crew alone.

The way it's set up now, if you restrict COVID-19, the Skeptics get caught in the crossfire automatically because the COVID-19 file is the main gateway to the Skeptic files.

So, basically what I'm saying is: if you only have partial access to Television, you won't even see the Eurovision sub-forum.

Why isn't it working like that now?
Casey Bennett said:But you've already screwed up countless times. Total garbage, right? That's exactly why you don't have access anymore.

Oh, please... drop the link first. ☕
"Hey, I’m asking if you could lift my partial ban on Television for just a month so I can actually weigh in on Dora.
I promise to play by all the forum rules and stop dropping those copy-paste rants that got me flagged in the first place."

Do I really need to say more than that? Honestly, I don't think so.
You guys are just messing with me at this point, and it’s getting ridiculous.

And frankly, he's messing with you too. 🙂
Larry Walker24 said:Why though?

Thanks for having my back, everyone 👍

You already know how this goes.
At best, you'll get some low-effort copy-paste nonsense, while SHE won't even bother showing up in your thread.
