It seems like you can't win—it's wrong if you do things, and it's just as wrong if you don't while you're pregnant.

You can never truly please everyone, I suppose.

Thank you so much—you all have truly brightened the day of an ex wannabe mama quite a bit 😘

Thanks.

Unfortunately, that's too long for a correction. There's a 15-character limit—and spaces count toward that total, too.

And then there was wearyharbor29. 🙂

That’s definitely doable—you should probably just reach out to New York City about it. 🙂

During my pregnancy, I found it incredibly grating how everyone would bother me with all this trivial, mindless chatter instead of offering actual, practical advice.
If those self-proclaimed experts had just sat down with me and walked me through the mechanics of breastfeeding, I probably wouldn't have struggled nearly as much in those early days.
And what was I supposed to do—just give up after the first few days of pure misery, much like Mary, just so I could catch a little extra sleep?

I have to agree with Angela Davis74 that whether you're nursing or using a bottle doesn't really dictate whether a mother gets enough rest or not. Personally, I’m well-rested. My baby only stirs about two or three times a night—though "waking up" is perhaps an exaggeration, since they don't even open their eyes. They generally sleep from 9 PM to 9 AM.

As for the idea that milk somehow loses its nutritional value... honestly, you can learn just about anything on this forum, apparently. 🤣
Then there's the notion that my little one—who isn't even six months old yet—is "biting" me and playing with 🙂—as if that's perfectly normal, and as if 🙂 food, play, and comfort are all one and the same for a baby. It’s quite perverse, really. Good grief. At this rate, I might as well stop nursing in a couple of days; otherwise, I'm either providing zero nutritional value or simply raising a spoiled brat. 😂
