If they're found to be in the wrong, they'll likely face a 25-second penalty, which would knock pretty much everyone out of the points.

Basically, it's a podium spot for Kamui Kobayashi if everyone ahead of him completely tanks it. If they don't, well, still fine, but this would be 🙏👍

Kamui can only move up if something happens to these guys, especially right in front of that Spanish jerk. 🙂

Honestly, Formula 1 is basically just a gamble on rain and mechanical failures now. People aren't even watching the racing anymore; they’re just sitting there praying someone's brakes fail, a tire blows out, or an engine gives up the ghost. It's basically become NASCAR, just without any of the actual passing 🤣
Airsoft in Other Sports ·
Airsoft replicas serve multiple purposes, ranging from tactical training for police and military units to honing combat skills for enthusiasts, as well as pure recreation. Because of this, we distinguish between the professional application of Airsoft gear and its role as a hobby. Through simulated tactical scenarios, participants develop physical and mental discipline, foster teamwork, and gain new expertise—all while enjoying a massive adrenaline rush.

I mean, if we aren't counting Batman—which, let’s be honest, operates in its own stratosphere—Spider-Man is the pinnacle. The brilliance lies in Sam Raimi's direction. He managed to tackle such visceral, high-stakes themes while maintaining a certain level of restraint; in those first two films, he delivered incredible tension without needing to resort to gratuitous gore or excessive bloodshed. It was handled with a certain grace. As for the third installment? I think I'll pass. That one was a complete disaster that completely lost its way.

Look, I’ve been a massive Spider-Man fan since I was a kid. I grew up reading the comics and watching the old cartoons on VHS back in the day. I've always been a huge comic book guy—mostly into stuff like *Alan Ford* types, you know?

Since I knew the world surrounding this character so incredibly well, I was really hoping the movie would capture that specific "vibe" just once.
As far as the directing goes, I don't have much to complain about, but the pairing of Maguire and Dunst just turned me off instantly. Honestly, before the movie even hit theaters, I already knew I wasn't feeling it. It’s not a bad movie, per se, but it isn't the Spider-Man I was expecting.

Take the X-Men trilogy, for example. They changed quite a bit from the source material—like Wolverine’s suit, which sticks out like a sore thumb—but it actually worked well for the screen. That yellow, blue, and black shredded look probably would have looked pretty ridiculous in live action. Plus, the casting is better, in my opinion.

Bottom line: if I’m in the mood for a comic book adaptation, I’d much rather watch X-Men than Spider-Man.
You running a fever or something?
Personally, I’m not even feeling the heat, but I haven't touched a jacket in over two years. I just head out in long sleeves—sometimes layering short sleeves underneath—and I don't even own a sweater. It’s definitely not the norm, but I do what works for me. Plus, I haven't been sick once in the last two years, so why mess with a winning formula?
coppergardener said:😂 ...hold on, you drink all seven of those during a single lunch? At my office cafeteria, we get that awful stuff from Coca-Cola—it’s basically just liquid sugar and citric acid. If I downed seven of those, I’d be glued to the bathroom stall for hours. Look, I drink a ton. Like, constantly. I’m always thirsty, though part of me thinks it might just be an oral fixation because I have a water bottle attached to my hip everywhere I go... plus, I drink before meals, during meals (ugh, I can't go five minutes without a sip), (if it stops😬 ) and after meals... then I wonder why my stomach feels bloated even when I haven't actually eaten much.

Honestly, it doesn't matter much to me what brand it is, though out of pure local pride, I usually grab Maraska when they have it.
But liquids aren't the issue for me; nothing's going to send me running to the restroom.
I also drink straight lemon juice sometimes—like, squeezing about two pounds of lemons at a time—so I'll occasionally have a double serving of that.😁
I don't know about you guys, but I see people all the time who claim they can't drink anything while they eat. For me, it’s actually the exact opposite—if I don't have a decent amount of liquid with my meal, I can barely swallow a bite. I'm just a heavy drinker in general, mostly sticking to water.

The cafeteria at work is where it gets real: lunch (or dinner, whatever) consists of one main course, a side dish (usually cabbage), plus seven 8oz servings of juice. So, on average, I'm knocking back about 😬 eight drinks per meal.
Then you get those looks from people who find it weird that I can polish all of that off without carrying a single extra bottle with me.
Or the jokes, too. Like, if I take seven juices and the rest of the group shares them, and then suddenly all seven end up on my tray... well, when I hand that tray back, you can practically hear the collective gasp. Even if it's just a few drinks, if my tray is basically a mountain of juice containers, the reaction is always the same.
Healthy Living in Health ·
Healthy living.
Eat a variety of foods and stay active—and look, you don't need to kill yourself at the gym. Moderation is everything. That’s really it. You don't need fancy supplements or some hyper-detailed spreadsheet tracking every single calorie, drop of water, or step you take...

For me, personally? I haven't even caught a cold since February 2006. Before that, I was constantly dealing with those annoying little viruses, but ever since then, I’ve been a regular blood donor and my labs come back perfect. My blood pressure stays pretty much locked in at 120/70, too.
When it comes to food, I don't follow any strict rules, but I'm certainly not going to gorge on a pound of steak every day, nor am I going to live off soy and processed junk. My diet isn't exactly a "blueprint" for everyone else—it's more about just finding a rhythm that works.
I drink a ton of fluids. In the winter, I'll hit about 3 liters, but in the summer? If I'm working, it can easily climb to 5 liters (mostly just water).
I eat plenty of fresh fruit, especially lemons. I have a massive sweet tooth for sour things, so I'll just go straight for pure lemon juice.
During these hot summer months, I mostly crave salads, onions, cabbage, that kind of stuff.

I don't smoke, I don't drink coffee, and I don't get drunk (well, okay, maybe once in a blue moon 😬) but always in moderation.

Sure, I have my bad habits: I don't get nearly enough sleep on average, and I usually only eat two meals a day. But I'm not looking to change that because honestly, I feel fantastic and my health is great.

At the end of the day, moderation is key. You just have to find what works for you. There are plenty of universal rules out there, but we're all built differently.
Questions about water in Health ·
Jamie Rivera78 said:Man, I’d love to actually see those studies. So you're saying there was chlorine at the source, but none coming out of the tap? That's wild.

Tonitko isn't just claiming that even the flashy bottled stuff doesn't come close to the source water.
Questions about water in Health ·
When it comes to the tap water here in the States, I don't think it's an issue to drink straight from the sink. I honestly only reach for bottled water if the news reports some kind of contamination issue or if there’s construction work happening on the pipes.
And it's not like I drink just a little—if anything, I'm a bit of a water fanatic. 😬 In the winter, I'll go through maybe 3.5 to 4 liters, but during the summer when I'm working hard, I can easily hit 10 liters, even though my miserable average sits around 7 liters. 😬

Anyway, I'm originally from San Diego, but I'm living in Chicago now. I have to say, the Chicago water has less chlorine, but I actually prefer the taste of the San Diego stuff (even though, technically, water shouldn't have a "taste" at all).

Bottled water doesn't even come close to being as good as what you get from the tap. And people can claim that bottled water is just as good as spring water all they want, but they can tell that to someone else. I've had plenty of chances to drink both natural spring water and, say, water straight from Niagara, and it is incomparably better than anything you'll find sitting on a store shelf or running through city pipes.
Zero Resistance in Health ·
It’s probably a combination of things. Here are a few possibilities (not saying it’s definitely all of these, but just thinking out loud):

Poor circulation, especially if your hands and feet are always freezing.
A weak immune system, if you're catching colds that easily.
Or maybe you just plain can't handle the cold.

If it's the first one, it's not exactly a massive issue to fix—just get moving more.

If it's the second, you need to overhaul a few things. Diet is key. It needs to be varied. You don't need those massive multivitamins people swear by, and honestly, eating ten million tons of spinach won't help either. Just eat a diverse range of foods and try to get your vitamins from actual fruit rather than pills whenever possible.

As for the third option, I have no clue how to help since I don't really have that problem personally (I'm fine even in short sleeves when it's 32 degrees in Washington, D.C. 😬 ).

If you want to warm up fast, I recommend a glass of pure lemon juice. And I mean pure—don't even think about lemonade. It gets the blood flowing immediately. I say a glass because I know most people can't actually handle that much acid, but honestly, I'd recommend squeezing about four pounds of lemons like I'm about to do right now.😬

Exactly.
Everyone’s got an opinion. I’m against drugs, period, and the advice was pretty blunt: "it'll hurt like hell and it'll kill you."
I just don't really buy that they're still just a kid.

So? You think that's worse advice than what's already been posted on here?

Based on that last sentence, I'm guessing you think we all have the exact same serotonin levels and all that crap, so everyone always feels great. 🙏

I've been using for 15 years, so I wouldn't exactly say I haven't lived much.

What are you guys even doing with these brainless comments? Does this come from some deep sense of justice and Care, or are you just talking nonsense because it's easier to act all positive and self-righteous? 🙏 🙏 🙏

Care? 🤣
You've got the wrong guy. Let people do whatever they want—drugs, self-destruction, whatever—it's not my job to answer for them, save them, or cheer them on.
I've seen firsthand what happens when a person hits rock bottom and reduces themselves to nothing. I don't have any sympathy, any concern, or any interest in understanding people like that.

I'm guessing being an MIT alum makes you some kind of high-level connoisseur of a good time. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Look, I don't have any personal experience with drugs, and I don't plan on getting any.
I've seen enough people high, and unfortunately, I've even seen one overdose.
Like I said before, let people do whatever they want. If someone needs substances just to feel good or to have a decent time, then they’re clearly missing out on a lot of what life actually has to offer.
