Lately, I’ve noticed people frequently being told their coagulation profiles are abnormal when they are actually perfectly fine. This usually happens because the person reviewing the results doesn't realize that the target range for someone on anticoagulants due to an underlying condition is vastly different from the standard range for a healthy individual. It is important to emphasize that there isn't a single universal target value for everyone taking these medications...

You explained that well, though I suspect 😁... It seems they have recovered to a reasonable extent. Did the physical therapist or the neurologist provide any specific guidance for next steps?
Are you feeling alright, Doctor? These results look perfectly clean to me, and if I’m reading this correctly, it seems like there was some unnecessary spending on tests you didn't actually need... Everything looks fine, you're healthy 😁 there

Achilles tendon issues in Health ·
Since Casey Palmer5 isn't around to weigh in yet, I'll try to offer some perspective...
It sounds like you might be dealing with lingering issues from that previous bout of acute Achilles tendonitis or peritendinitis. It could be a bit of residual inflammation if the initial treatment wasn't quite thorough enough, or perhaps just a lasting consequence despite your best efforts. I doubt we're looking at a chronic case severe enough to require orthopedic surgery, but then again, it doesn't necessarily have to be tendonitis... Did you ever experience a full rupture? You didn't mention one, but that's a crucial detail to know. If you've already seen a doctor, you likely have a formal report; please share the diagnosis with us when you can.

There isn't much help available beyond what you're already doing... a prolonged erection is painful for anyone... just look up priapism on Google and you'll see

I am happy to hear that, congratulations. Could you please provide some information regarding the extent of the nerve recovery? What are the prospects for the facial muscles?
dustydrifter14 said:Hey there!

I recently went in for my annual physical to get a full check-up on everything.
Everything from ultrasounds to blood work at the lab.
Thank God, all the results came back clean. Bladder, prostate, gallbladder, liver, kidneys, thyroid... you name it.

The only thing sticking out is my INR, which was 1.09, while a normal range is usually considered 2-3 (or something like that).
Every other parameter on the report falls right within the expected limits.

My concern stems from the fact that INR is linked to stroke risk, but I can't seem to find any clear info on whether the danger lies in having a high or low INR.
Both my father and my uncle suffered strokes, so this specific number is weighing heavily on my mind.

So, Pliiiz any kind souls with medical expertise who could provide some insight, help calm my hypochondriac tendencies, or just point me in the right direction...
🙏
Thank you.

Well, your INR should be perfectly fine if you aren't currently taking any blood thinners...
The classic presentation would involve swollen lymph nodes and night sweats... but you often see atypical cases that don't follow the textbook. If we relied solely on standard presentations, more than half of truly sick patients would likely leave an office without a diagnosis. It is difficult to be precise without seeing the patient or reviewing their labs... primarily, we need to rule out various conditions, ranging from everything that causes hyperbilirubinemia to hematological issues, certain dermatological diagnoses, allergies, fungal infections, or even psychogenic itch

It might sound a bit intense, but if any of your hormone levels fall below the reference range, you really ought to consider replacement therapy. You wouldn't want your body to suffer because one of those essential links in its functional chain is missing...

I have encountered individuals like that before. It is difficult to say precisely how it occurs—perhaps there is just a trace amount of functional pituitary tissue remaining, or maybe the gland simply begins to act autonomously... regardless, this isn't just a theoretical scenario

What kind of "black poisons" are you talking about? If you're implying medication, those are typically cleared from the system within a few hours... besides, anesthesia doesn't last nearly that long, and this isn't a direct consequence of the anesthesia, though theoretically, it could be an indirect one... syncope can stem from many different causes, so they should definitely see a doctor, especially if these fainting episodes keep happening...
Regarding Dad—his doctor mentioned he likely has fatty liver disease or perhaps even NASH. It isn't an overly alarming diagnosis, though he will certainly need to be mindful of his diet and cholesterol levels. We should also pay close attention to his glucose intolerance; with a disciplined meal plan, everything can be managed quite effectively, and if medication becomes necessary, it is certainly not the end of the world...
The CRP levels are expectedly elevated given the likely enterocolitis, though they aren't alarmingly high. You should definitely reach out to your doctor to get some medication started, and please be mindful of your fluid intake; diarrhea can lead to dehydration quite easily...

Even after a complete removal of the pituitary gland, hormone levels can sometimes stabilize to a point where they mimic those of a person with a fully functioning gland... if this proves to be the case, physical activity shouldn't pose an issue
Anesthesia Technician jobs in Health ·
I wouldn't go so far as to say all technicians are like that; I suspect this perspective might be coming from someone other than the OP 😁
I personally know several veteran anesthesiologists who can intubate with incredible precision—that is exactly the kind of skill doctors ought to master. If not everyone, then certainly those frequently facing such scenarios who currently lack the proficiency... however, if you hone your craft at JLL, transitioning to the ER becomes quite manageable; it shouldn't pose much of a challenge
As for the idea of anesthesiologists just wandering around... either they possess the necessary expertise and experience, or they lack it enough to realize what they are getting themselves into... 😁
HPV info and questions? in Health ·
Also, keep in mind that HPV doesn't always lead to inflammation; an infection can actually clear itself naturally without causing any lesions for either you or your partner.
There is really no need for you or your girlfriend to be overly worried about cervical cancer. As long as she stays responsible and keeps up with her regular checkups at the gynecologist, things should be fine. You can just get retested in a few months to see if you're still carrying it...
If you could write about why you take your medication, what your experience has been like, or any concerns you have regarding its use...
I am not entirely certain, but I suspect anything below average won't suffice, though it might be difficult... I cannot say for sure.

There are risk factors and mechanisms involved—at least one of them. Do a quick search... I'd rather we don't clutter this thread with overly long and unnecessary posts here.
