So, my cousin went through absolute hell last July. She ended up with three aneurysms—can you even imagine? One of them actually ruptured, which was terrifying. She spent about ten days stuck in the ICU over at Vinogradski, and they had to rush her into surgery. Thankfully, everything went okay with that one. But she still had another one sitting right on the other side. They ended up having to do an endovascular procedure at Rebro because there just wasn't any other way to handle it. It's been a total rollercoaster.
Look, we need to get her MRI and MRA results reviewed right now—like, this month. But of course, they didn't even order them until March! Can you believe that? Total incompetence. And now the MRI is showing a clot right where she had that first surgery. Her head is pounding every single day, and honestly, I’m at my wit's end. I have no idea how to help her. To make matters worse, my cousin doesn't live in the city, so I'm flying solo on this one. It's just constant stress. Does anyone have any advice on how I should handle this?

That’s just clever marketing, honestly. Like, how on earth are you supposed to lose weight from some little insert? All that nonsense they peddle for every little thing is basically just a tax on idiots. Seriously. If someone is prone to gaining weight, they're just going to stay that way—unless they actually put in a bit of effort, you know? A little exercise, moving around more... maybe then you might drop a few pounds. I don't buy into those waist trainers either. I mean, sure, I've heard some celebrities raving about them, but even then, I have no clue if I'd ever actually waste my money on one.😁

Look, I actually went to Pfizer for my implants, and honestly, the teamwork there was top-notch. I am seriously happy with everyone—the way they handle things and just the overall quality of the work.
I think there's some info on Wikipedia about those last three, but honestly, I feel like my neighbor should have had her Factor V Leiden checked for blood clots or thrombosis😕, since something wasn't quite right with her health. I think I might be out of line here, so if I'm wrong, my bad... My cousin is waiting on surgery at the Mayo Clinic, and they told her they’d give her a heads-up 2 or 3 days beforehand so she could grab all her paperwork—she doesn't live in Washington, D.C., so she needs the lead time, right? Well, the hospital calls today, but for some reason, my cousin can't hear her phone, so they call me instead, and of course, I couldn't pick up immediately. About half an hour later, I get the message, listen to it, tell my cousin what happened, and then she calls the Mayo Clinic back, only to find out the surgery is postponed! They already gave her slot to someone else just because they couldn't reach anyone on their cell!😕 The whole mess went down in like two hours. They know damn well she isn't local to D.C., and now she’s back to square one waiting. The voicemail specifically said to call back regarding hospitalization and the procedure, yet in that tiny window of time, they've already moved on to the next patient.😕
So, if you're hanging around Queens, there’s this clinic over on 2nd Avenue near Selske—wait, let me find the right street... yeah, near Selske—where you can see Dr. Jankoli or Dr. Bošnjak. Honestly, the nurse working with Dr. Bošnjak is an absolute gem, seriously a lifesaver, and they’ve got a dentist right there too, which makes things way easier. I haven't actually been to either of them myself, but I've heard through the grapevine that people are pretty happy with the care there. I don't know if it's close enough for you, though, so maybe do a little digging and check them out.🙂

I’ve been trying to get an order in through Medtronic for two whole months now and I still can't get anyone to actually process it. It's ridiculous. Way back in the day, probably around the same age your sister is now, I tried going to the local health center with a referral. That was it. One and done. Never again. Honestly, it just pissed me off. Instead of actually helping, they just take out their own frustrations on you. So, I decided to go private. Thank God, because I don't have any major issues to deal with. I’ve been seeing the same specialist for 20 years now—the same one who handled both of my pregnancies. She’s someone I actually trust, and I head in for a checkup once a year.
Look, if I see that my doctor is actually good, explains things clearly, and does a thorough exam, I don't mind paying the money. It's worth it. If my very first experience had actually been decent, maybe I’d be out there trying to get grandkids through the public system today too.🤷

Well, you usually just go to whatever local occupational health clinic is nearby. Back in the day, we used to go to the DZ vrabac center, $67 but yeah, there’s a fee for it. Just ask your own doctor where you can get it done—my son's school gave us a specific place to head to.
Look, I’m honestly torn between being a "yes" and a "no" on the whole organ donation thing. It’s one of those heavy things I really need to work through internally first, and frankly, I’m just not mentally there yet. I know for a fact she’d want to be cremated, that much is certain.

Honestly, after knowing them for twenty years, the best OB-GYN out there is Dr. Stilino-whatever—Primarius Stilino. But he’s been doing private practice over in the suburbs lately. He handled both of my pregnancies back when he was still at the public hospital, and he was great.

I haven't personally been, but I've heard Željko Pavičić is solid—his office is over on Bartola Kašića. Personally, whenever I need something, I head over to Jadranka Sokol in the Brooklyn area, near Manterovčak. There's also Ivan Dobrić; I think he used to be a department head over at Shalata or somewhere out in Borongaj, but honestly, I'm not even sure if he's still practicing.
