A colonoscopy is an invasive, painful procedure—you don't just go in for no reason, right? You wait until a specialist gives you the referral!
Honestly, I’m totally horrified by all this random advice being thrown around without any actual thought—do you guys even realize how many people have had their bowels perforated because of improper prep?!!
Sweetie, just go see a doctor and tell them everything—that's literally what they're there for! If we could cure diseases on internet forums, medical school would have been shut down years ago!
The girl is dealing with constipation, and look, there are plenty of effective meds out there, including natural options!

So, if I’m the one who decided to lock my own thread on the forum—just because I felt like it—and now I want to bring it back to life... what kind of fate am I looking at?
Just wondering
Why does everyone think they're so great? in Psychology & Therapy ·
I can't say I agree with that—honestly, looking at myself, I know I could be doing way better! I’m trying my best, but let's just say there's still some work to do...
And no, it's not like I have an ego problem or anything—I don't deal with those "better than everyone" vibes or feeling inferior, either. I totally get my own limits, you know? I see things for what they really are—myself, the world, and how I fit into everything—and I can clearly see there are genuinely good, honest people out there, even if I've still got a long way to go to reach that level myself
Usually, it's the absolute worst kind of people who think they're perfect—you know, the ones who act like they're always right and somehow more valuable than everyone else
I make it a point to stay far away from folks who think they don't need to work on their own character, but instead expect everyone else to change just to suit them
Fate usually catches up with those types anyway, leaving them totally alone or surrounded by nothing but weak, spineless people—which basically ends up being the same thing, right?

Daniel Ward87 said:Then go ahead and stay consistent to the bitter end. Who said we shouldn't be punished? We have been—we've taken the strikes. My issue is just how you all insist we were being intentionally smug or arrogant to justify much harsher penalties 😕. That’s not how it went down from my perspective. We were punished exactly how the moderators of this sub-forum decided we deserved to be...

And honestly, the generalizations being thrown around here are pretty wild...

Daniel Ward87

So you mean to tell me you HAD NO CLUE that you aren't allowed to post total nonsense on the KzB chat? Seriously?! 😕

Well, "my" folks over at Photography think my time away was more than enough, and they gave me such a warm welcome back because they missed me... what do you think about that? 😁

I guess I’ll have to start a photography hobby just so I can experience that day when I actually miss a moderator... 🙂
For example, I don't miss Strile from the Lions Club at all—what's your take on that? 🤣
Come on, let's not troll, it's not cool!
We all know how it works... if some user keeps posting relentlessly on the KZB forums, their Ban just gets longer and longer...

Come on, Johnny, this is getting out of hand... take a breather! Go enjoy some real life—take Kimberly Nguyen and me out for some burgers—then get back to the Board of Trustees😍

And hey, I love burgers too!😢

And man, being a mod meant fighting an uphill battle with the administration from day one. When I first joined, I was all about making changes and pitching ideas, but the higher-ups kept brushing me off, saying I lacked experience. It was the same old story every single time! Then, out of nowhere, someone else suggests the exact same stuff I’d been yelling about for months, and suddenly it’s a great idea? I just pointed out that maybe the administration would finally see sense and let us actually *do* our jobs properly on this site. But the bottom line is, I was the one out there fighting the good fight, while everyone else just sat back and waited to see what the admins would decide. Seriously though, if the management at a place like Reddit actually knew how to run things, they’d listen to the people actually doing the work! Instead, I just got told, "There goes Johnny again, always rushing ahead." 🤦 So you think I should still want to moderate...? Yeah, thanks, but no thanks. After a pretty heated showdown with the old admin team, I stepped down and went back to being just another user.

It’s that classic American thing where we act all polite but we're actually total jerks
you know your buddies are gonna tear you apart if you keep talking like this—hardly anyone's gonna take your side, or maybe just a few
some people will give you a pat on the back behind closed doors, just so they don't lose their status
but what status? You're all volunteers
honestly, they'd be better off volunteering at a local soup kitchen or a nursing home than here on this forum
nothing is uglier than someone craving glory; some people would kill for a tiny bit of power or authority
they aren't kidding when they say "give a man power and you'll see his true colors"
it was definitely for the best that you quit the mod gig, but hey, you can still level up the quality of this place just by posting better content as a regular user
if I were you, I wouldn't have left entirely
maybe just take a little breather, but don't walk away
just think about it
PS tell your wife I said hi! 😉

Steven Ruiz said:I can't, and honestly, that's true... but we've already been punished once. So why should we keep punishing ourselves with another three-day ban? For what reason? We already served our time.
For most of us, this was basically our first strike or first Ban in our entire history on this forum...
I'm sorry, but there really isn't any logic in handing out such draconian punishments for a first mistake...

Even with the PDF files I manage, I don't hand out strikes or Bans for the very first error...
First, you get a warning, then a yellow card, and finally a red one...
So by what logic do we get an immediate Ban?...
We've already received the red card, and that's more than enough...

Steven Ruiz, we don't think that's enough.
When a cop messes up their duty, they get suspended way harsher than a regular civilian would, right?
You guys are the officers here—just take your suspensions honorably for a bit.

Honestly, based on a few posts, I've already pegged you—you've definitely got a backbone.😉

Jacob Foster11 said:Moderators can't police one another, which means they can't discipline themselves. Moderators are subject to super-moderators and admins. Super-moderators answer only to the admins. Admins? Nobody touches them. They have to be demoted first before any actual disciplinary action can even be taken.

I’m currently on light duty, so there's a chance this isn't 100% accurate, though I'm fairly certain it is. If you're looking to push for harsher penalties against certain mods, you'll need to take that up with a supermod or an admin.

Well, we already called it out right here in public
hopefully someone is on duty right now
you know, like a 911 operator or some emergency dispatch... anyone please respond!
just act, don't keep giving us the same old excuses over and over again
Come on, do something so we can finally start respecting you guys!

Daniel Ward87 said:🤣🤣 At that point, we were just messaging with Steven Ruiz, and if you really think we were being arrogant on purpose...🙏🙏🙏

Honestly, you've got a point... I know for a fact that most moderators do this intentionally. They act smug, basically spit in the faces of regular users, and mock people when they complain about getting banned... not to mention the blacklists and everything else. 👍

But hey, everyone gets a little bit of a hard time sometimes, including me and all the other moderators. To be honest, I can't even remember the last time I got called out in all my years of moderating... but man... right from the start...

and when you don't do that just to get hit with a hundredfold penalty😍

...then why on earth should I pay (or anyone else, really) a hundred times more if I'm otherwise an exemplary member of the community? It just doesn't make any sense!
Even in real life, it's such a relief when you're given a pass for making a mistake for the first time... 😉

Then why did you agree to be a moderator in the first place? You knew exactly how this would go...

Steven Ruiz said:There’s just one thing I can’t quite wrap my head around here. How is it that when the moderators pick up those 30 points, everyone suddenly calls them "passionate" or a "major achievement," yet the moment a regular user gets them, it sparks months of endless debates about moderator bias and unfairness?
I mean, if they aren't considered passionate for everyone else, then I guess they aren't really passionate at all, right? 😉

you guys should've gotten those 300 points instead—since you were INTENTIONALLY being obnoxious and poking the bear... we just wanted to show everyone who’s really running things and exactly how much trouble you can stir up!

Nicholas King said:You already hit me with the first argument: there is a massive difference between when moderators act up versus when regular users do.

Secondly—let's just assume for a second that the rules apply equally to everyone. Can you honestly, without even blinking, tell me that "regular" users could just chat away for two days straight and only walk away with a mere 30 points?

he can do whatever he wants, don't push him
sorry, but it’s actually hilarious how the mods either act totally clueless or just haven't sharpened their pencils today 🤣

But then again, we all got punished too...
And honestly, don't even try to play dumb here...

So, what's the real issue here?
Would you guys really prefer it if we hadn't been penalized at all?

We’d love it if you actually took us seriously—you know, by actually following the same rules you expect us to follow!
zišku 😁
but when you don't, then we deserve to be punished a hundred times over! 😍

Daniel Ward87 said:🙄 Come on, don't be a hypocrite... How many times have you broken the Lions Club rules without getting slapped with an instant three-day ban? Nobody is disputing what we did, but when the moderators mess up, there should be an immediate 3-day ban—no questions asked. When "regular" users screw up, well, that's where the debate starts.
