Sex hormones change depending on where you are in your cycle—like day 3 to 5 or maybe day 21—so it really just depends on which specific ones you're checking. Bottom line: pay attention to what day you're on and what exactly you're testing.
Honestly, my first thought is that he probably just scratched it with a fingernail. You get a tiny little nick, then later it starts oozing a bit of blood mixed with the regular discharge, and boom—you've got a bloody discharge.
Linda Cook58 said:I need some advice. I finished my last birth control pill on August 21st after being on it for three years, since I have to take a break (because of cholesterol issues). My period came normally on August 23rd, but my next one was supposed to show up by September 19th (based on my tracking app), and it still hasn't arrived. It's almost two weeks late. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative.
Should I head straight to my OBGYN, or is it pretty common for things to get wonky when you stop the pill and I should just wait?
I wouldn't sweat it too much. You weren't on the pill during this cycle, so your body probably just needs a minute to recalibrate... plus, I'm sure the test is right; if you were pregnant and this late, it would have shown by now.
But anyway, here's MY problem: My period is due tomorrow, or maybe in the next few days, but the last 3 or 4 days have been absolute hell. Lower abdominal pain, feeling totally wiped out, zero energy for anything physical, digestive issues, nausea, and these intense cramps... I can't even tell what day it is. Theoretically, I shouldn't be pregnant, but I've never felt this miserable a few days before my period. I guess getting older means this is just how it goes, but if it's going to be like this every single month, I'm actually going to lose it.

But trying to suck up to people while acting like a hypocrite and claiming some kind of moral high ground? Yeah, that’s just pathetic... trying to play the mods just to score some unfair advantages totally kills any pretense of being a "superior" person a moderator is actually worth something if they can see right through all that nonsense thanks
what on earth are you even talking about?? 😕 who's actually sucking up here? 🤷 Kyle King4 isn't even like that—you've got it totally wrong, man! just drop the politics and let's just have some fun, alright? 🙂🙂
That’s definitely just spotting, especially since you're right in the middle of your cycle. Don't stress, and you probably don't even need to rush to the doctor if everything else feels fine. I actually panicked when it first happened to me a few months back and ran straight to my OBGYN. They told me immediately—it was just spotting. Check out my old thread on it, "bloody discharge," if you want to read more. It’s honestly not that uncommon...
Bumping this thread so I don't have to start a whole new one. So, does anyone else deal with spotting? I can't wrap my head around what it actually is... Google isn't exactly giving me clear answers here. I've been dealing with it forever. First happened when I was 23, around day 10 of my cycle. Then nothing for a few months, then it popped up again, then nothing, and now it's back on day 15. My OB-GYN says it’s just normal ovulation bleeding... but I don't get why it happens inconsistently. Someone told me it's because an egg didn't release properly (??), while another site says it's a hormone imbalance... Then there's pregnancy spotting, but from what I gather, that usually hits right around when you'd expect your period... And then there's implantation bleeding, which happens about 10 days after conception... It's hard to know what's actually going on when it happens. I'm not on any hormonal birth control, though we've stopped using protection here and there, so I guess that's why I'm overthinking which type of spotting this is... And btw, I'm not asking if I'm pregnant, just curious to hear your thoughts and experiences with this stuff.
I had the exact same thing happen just a few minutes ago, and I lowkey panicked because it’s never happened before. I've heard about spotting, but why now all of a sudden? lol... I'm not on the pill either... Anyway, I went to see my OBGYN. She said it's just spotting from ovulation... It actually happened to me one other time too... It feels weird though—like, why this cycle and not the next one? But I guess it's normal... So yeah, don't worry, you're good Though that can also be implantation bleeding, but that usually happens about 7 to 10 days after conception...

Could someone just remind me what his name is? It seems logical to me that if his father was a Casio, the son might be more of a Seiko or a Sanyo... he could even be a Grundig, a Blaupunkt, or finally an EI NIS—it's something a Southern Slav would want to acknowledge, whether they admit it or not.
I had something similar once, right under my sternum, basically between two ribs. It was fluttering—you could actually feel it under your finger and see it happening, and it felt like my whole chest was jumping. Lasted maybe two or three days. It’s just like when your eyelid twitches, only in a weirder spot so you start stressing out. Honestly, don't sweat it; I think it's just a nerve acting up and that's it! 😉
It’s not for me, it’s turned into this brownish-yellow stuff mixed with blood. Anyway, I was at the OBGYN. She said it’s just spotting mid-cycle. It stopped for a bit so she could do my Pap smear, but then it started back up during the day.. Everything looks fine anatomically according to the exam.. But the Pap isn't for another 6 weeks, and she didn't do any swabs. Honestly, I was so flustered I forgot to ask, and now I'm wondering if it's an infection or some bacteria that might show up if the Pap isn't right and they do swabs later.. eh, hopefully it's nothing. If the discharge doesn't clear up in a few days, maybe I'll head back in for another checkup.. So, there's the report, Angela Wright thanks!
Ugh, seriously, I’ve heard about spotting before, but nothing like this has ever happened to me... but hey, I guess there's a first time for everything, right? And honestly, I haven't even been stressed out or anything... Anyway, I'll have my answers in two days. I'm just curious about what all the possibilities are. thanks...
Roger Garcia9 said:From what I’ve gathered while reading up on this, once the fertilized cell actually manages to nest itself, you might start noticing some bloody discharge...
Heh, thanks a lot. 🙄 That could be true, but I doubt it's happening to me... just playing it safe. Since I'm a total panicker, it's stuck in my head, but logically speaking... probably not. Still, anything is possible. Thanks anyway. I read that light spotting can happen mid-cycle, but I'm not really mid-cycle. Plus, this has never happened to me before, so I have no clue. Open to suggestions if anyone has them. 🙂
So, three days ago I started getting this bloody vaginal discharge. It was just a little bit last night, then nothing the next day, but now it’s been there all day today... No pain, no burning, nothing really bothering me though. My last period was about 12 days ago... I had an appointment scheduled with my OB-GYN for two weeks from now, but I moved it up, so I'm seeing them in a few days. Still, I'm being impatient and have zero clue what this could be, so if anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate it. And btw, I shouldn't be pregnant, but it crossed my mind since I've been feeling pretty exhausted (for no reason), and my last period was a bit weird... though I doubt that's it.🤷
before they actually start filming, you usually have to jump around for like five minutes so the doctor can check if everything's bouncing right. they'll only touch you if something looks off, otherwise, they won't.
🤣
got some kind of phobia about being bare in front of a white coat? 😉
honestly, you might not even have to lose the undershirt. last time I had my lungs checked, I just had to ditch the bra because of the underwire, and they let me stay in my cami..
Look, if you actually have medical proof for all those illnesses you're reading about, then sure, you aren't a hypochondriac. But if you think you've got them... well.. The truth is, we live in a world where everything—even the "healthy" stuff—seems to mess with your system. So, just try to stay positive. If you're already struggling with that, maybe don't even mention it. I honestly believe half of this is just mental; the mind is a powerful thing.
My mom actually dropped 33 pounds on this diet over a few different stints, and the wild part? It stayed off.. but if you ask me, the whole thing seems pretty sketchy. I mean, it’s basically just a mountain of eggs and heavy cream. The rest is fine—some oranges, veggies, lean protein—but that much cholesterol in two weeks? Yikes. Sure, you lose weight, but it's because the daily calorie count is insanely low. If you starve yourself like that for 15 days, the scale is obviously going down. I wouldn't suggest it as a long-term lifestyle, but if you're healthy and just want to do it once, you'll probably be fine. It’s not even that hardcore...
