Duje Draganja: Sellout or just misunderstood?

People who put their country above their paycheck either don't have real problems, or they aren't even aware of them because someone else is pulling the strings behind the scenes to make sure they stay comfortable enough to fight for those "higher" ideals...
Look, I'm not exactly swimming in cash here, but I highly doubt everyone criticizing dujin's move is some massive American tycoon. I'm not some fanatic who puts the US above everything else, either. It’s just about having principles, right? I get it when someone is broke and has to move to another country and take up citizenship just to secure a decent living—if that were my situation, I'd probably do the exact same thing. But if I'm making a solid living here at home, it's hard to imagine some slightly better offer abroad would actually force me to change my nationality. If I was born an American, why on earth would I suddenly decide to become an Englishman, an Austrian, or a Bahraini? That's basically what playing for Bahrain is. He had good conditions here for our standards, so this feels like he's essentially selling himself. Is everything really for sale?!
Pešalov's situation was totally different, honestly, because if we managed to land him for relatively small change, then you can only imagine the kind of conditions he was dealing with back in Bulgaria...
