Rookie Koivun takes down Scheffler! in Other Sports ·
Can't believe a rookie just held off Scottie Scheffler like that. That's a massive win for Koivun to pull that off against one of the best in the game. Do you guys think he's the real deal or just a one-hit wonder?

The only time about ten of us actually felt alive was when B-Real jumped into the pit. I took a hit to the ribs, but hey, at least it was a sign that people actually showed up to a concert rather than a funeral service.
Ticket prices, drinks, food—everything was a total disaster.
If this is their first year paying venue fees to the city of Chicago, they sure are acting like the organizers had to take out two massive mortgages just to cover the overhead.😂

It’s pretty obvious you’re a huge fan, 🤣

Watched this yesterday. Honestly, it was a solid action flick. I didn't go in with super high expectations, but the action was great, the humor landed, and the story actually held up. I’d give it a solid 8/10 from me.

amberheron64 said:Alright, look—I’m a bit stumped here. Why on earth am I being told I don't have the right to ask about Diane anymore?! Has anyone else dealt with something similar? It feels a bit sudden, doesn't it?
And another thing—are these blood results actually from the specialist? I’ve got the white cell count, red cell count, clotting time, enzymes... all that good stuff. Honestly, I have no idea what other test results they could possibly be looking for!

Look, I posted about Diane on its own thread last year and people just laughed at me. Then my doctor told me straight up that after the healthcare reforms, they aren't supposed to prescribe Diane for free anymore because apparently, it’s not considered an effective contraceptive anymore—only for things like skin issues or regulating cycles.😕
I mean, seriously? After using it for years, he just drops that on me out of nowhere. It makes zero sense. He then suggested I try Triquilar since it has a lower hormone dose and is generally better tolerated by most people... so yeah, I've been on that for about six months now.🤷

Drink, I think, two liters of herbal tea, no sugar added
Hey, I need some help. I realized I missed my last pill yesterday, so I just took it now. But then I found the box, and it says protection is reduced—especially if you miss pills at the beginning or end of a pack—which means pregnancy is possible. And since I missed the very last one... it also says if you forget a pill for more than 12 hours, you should skip it and start a seven-day break, which was actually supposed to start today. Now I'm freaking out—should I try to throw up the pill I just took or what am I supposed to do? 😢

edit: Also, it says I can start the next pack immediately the following day, but I wouldn't do that unless I absolutely had to because it doesn't seem healthy.

This one left a massive impression on me, which is saying something because it’s incredibly rare for a movie to actually blow me away.
I absolutely loved every single bit of it—from the psychedelic atmosphere and the acting to the action, the plot, and that mind-blowing ending. I ended up watching it twice in just two days, and I honestly think it deserves to be back on screens soon. For me, it’s a perfect 10/10.

Honestly, I think it’s just down to the individual. I was on Diane for 35 years, but now that I've switched to Triquilar for a few months, I haven't had any issues with weight gain at all.🤷

All those movies about rings, you know, the whole Lord of the Rings thing,

Finally, someone who actually gets what I'm talking about!

Big yes. I caught the premiere of that absolute garbage at the local AMC when it first dropped. Everyone else was all hyped up, but I walked out halfway through. I just couldn't sit there and take it anymore.😳

amberpilot10 said:Before I went under for my surgery, they definitely gave me some kind of sedative. I remember being wheeled into the OR and just feeling completely numb to everything—not even a hint of anxiety or fear. Honestly, I just couldn't bring myself to care about anything at all.😁😁😁It wasn't like I was drifting off slowly, either. It happened fast—just a few seconds and then boom, I was out. When I finally woke up, I felt a bit nauseous, though nothing too intense since I had already taken enough painkillers to knock out an elephant. That definitely numbed things a bit, but from what I've heard, the worst part is that feeling right when you first wake up.

I still remember how freezing I was while waiting in line at the deli, standing there basically naked, just wrapped in that thin sheet with a towel thrown over my head. What a beautiful sight that was. 😁
I actually passed out right before they administered the anesthesia. As soon as they gave me that sedative to calm me down, everything just went black—I don't remember a single thing after that.
Laura Evans3 said:I don't recall taking any pills before... 🤔

but I definitely remember waking up 🤣 after my nurse gave me such a hard time that it actually hurt more than the surgery itself 🤣

🤣 When I had my surgery, the recovery room was totally packed, so they just left me in a regular patient room. The nurse kept calling my name, so I just grabbed my phone, typed out some total gibberish like "asdf jkl; qwer," turned around, and went right back to sleep. When I finally woke up later, I realized I was wearing some hospital gowns, but honestly, it was fine. 😁
How to perform a proper breast self-exam? in Women's Health ·
Donna Taylor68 said:Well, you can get anything done if you're willing to pay up or if you have the right connections. 😛
One of my friends who's an OB-GYN does breast exams for her patients, but my doctor never even offered me one.
I'm just waiting for my period to end, then I'll try doing a self-exam (apparently you're supposed to do it during the first few days of your cycle).

During my last check-up, my doctor actually suggested it—as if it were some brand-new thing—a breast exam, for $15 if I remember correctly... I totally forgot about it until I stumbled upon this thread today... now I'm torn on whether I should actually go through with it. 😕
Back when we were doing those mandatory physicals for college, some idiot doctor tried to show us how to do a self-exam. Honestly, she was such a bully that one of my friends ended up jumping off the exam table and telling her exactly where to shove it. 🤣
Between all the "irregularities" people talk about, I'm not really confident doing it myself. Since I'm only in my early twenties, should I start asking my gynecologist to do these exams, or am I way too young for that? 🤷

That’s a lot... taking two boxes at once kind of scares me. I'm worried about what it might do to my system. 😁

You’ll be fine. People do this all the time when they're switching pill brands or packs. I actually just did that myself—I finished my last pack and started the new one immediately the next day, and I didn't have any spotting or bleeding at all. Just don't make a habit out of it. Doing it once shouldn't cause any issues.

Paul Hernandez18 said:Hey everyone,

Quick question. I went to my OB-GYN and she prescribed Diane birth control, telling me to start on day five of my period. Even the woman at the pharmacy said the same thing. The only issue is the box says to start on the first day of my period.

This is what I found online: "If you start contraceptive pills on the first day of your period, you're protected from pregnancy starting immediately. If you wait until the fifth day of your cycle, it’s better to assume you won't be protected until you start your second pack."

I don't get it.

So basically, you can start on either the first or the fifth day—it doesn't matter. The difference is just what you wrote yourself: if you start on day one, you're protected right away, but if you wait until day five, you won't be fully covered this month; you'll have to wait until you start the next pack.

brightbear said:That’s really what your doctor told you?? Huh. Well, if that's the case, you might experience some minor spotting in the meantime. But if you just finish the pack as usual, you should still get your regular withdrawal bleeding afterward.
I mean, maybe... it doesn't always happen that you'll bleed while actively taking the pills. It usually only happens when someone skips the placebo week entirely to avoid a period for a trip or something similar. But even then, it isn't a "real" or regular period... just something that happens...

Ah, okay... thanks! That totally confused me, and I completely forgot to ask my doctor about it.

Harold Howard7: Honestly, I’ve been sitting here staring at this screen for twenty minutes just trying to wrap my head around the sheer absurdity of it all. You know that feeling? Where you realize everything you thought was settled is actually just hanging by a thread? It’s like watching a slow-motion car crash on the I-95, only nobody’s getting out of the wreckage because they’re too busy arguing about who should have paid for the gas... anyway, I suppose I digress. But seriously, does anyone else feel like we’re just spinning our wheels in this endless loop of nothingness? It’s exhausting. Just... exhausting... kaže:
So, I finally made the switch from Diana over to Triquilar, and I spent all of yesterday just sticking with Triquilar... now I'm sitting here wondering if I’ll actually see that payout this month, or if I have to wait until I take my first break from Triquilar to get anything at all... 😕

So, after an eight-day break, you're diving straight back in with Triquilar—just like you always do—and starting on that new Diana spreadsheet? ...
Wait, in that case, you’ve already had some bleeding, haven't you? Or maybe I just completely misread the situation...

I didn't express myself very clearly. After my last pill from the Diana pack, I started Triquilar the very next day, which is what my gynecologist advised. So, I haven't had any bleeding yet, and now I'm confused—because I didn't take a break, am I going to "skip" my period this month or what?

brightbear said:Nah. Honestly, your body handles the transition a lot smoother if you just move straight onto the next thing...

That’s how it works for me. I just switched from Diana to Triquilar, and yesterday I stayed on the Triquilar. Now I’m just wondering—will I get my period this month, or does that only happen once I take my first break from the Triquilar?😕
