It’s reading my location all wrong; it keeps telling me I'm in Long Village when I'm actually out here in San Diego.☕

When exactly is the EU going to step in and launch a real investigation into the corruption embedded within American agencies?

And honestly, who do you think you are, judging people based on their gender or their profession—and more importantly, who exactly is pulling your strings?

Are you absolutely sure you aren't on something? 😂
silverwolf88 said:Back in the late 60s, leggings were mostly considered men's clothing, so it stands to reason that my Grandpa and Grandma back in the States would have worn them quite normally; nowadays, they've shifted toward being women's wear, meaning parents tend to dress their daughters in leggings while boys get the baggy stuff, so history has simply moved on
I can't help but wonder what year you were born to possess such an intensely rigid, old-school collectivist mindset? Were you perhaps raised on those strict, hyper-regulated social rallies in the old days?
Are you truly so certain that history has reached its final destination?
Personally, I’ve long since shed that outdated, conformist way of thinking, which is exactly why I stand against any kind of stereotype—true freedom means everyone gets to dress however they please.
Look, it doesn't bother me one bit if you choose to dress a certain way because you're a man; that's entirely your business and has nothing to do with me, just so you don't mistakenly think anyone is forcing you into leggings. If we actually live in a democracy, nobody can force your hand, and it works both ways

Tight clothing has definitely been around for ages, but certainly not made from that flimsy material you're rocking ☕ which feels incredibly cheap, almost like wearing nylon stockings 😁
You really are one kind, solitary soul. 😉
silverwolf88 said:Back when I was still financially leaning on my mom, I used to wear these baggy pants, and honestly, looking back, I feel a bit silly because I felt like I should have been ashamed of being a man; however, once I actually started buying leggings for myself, my mother—who was born in communist Bulgaria—was so mortified by my choice of clothing that she basically kicked me out of the house, while my brother kept telling me I was losing my mind by embarrassing her with those "girly pants."
Even now, whenever my brother spots me out in town, he’ll go out of his way to walk the other direction just so people don't associate him with me, and since he’s always been such a mama's boy, he actually thinks it's a good thing that he avoids being seen with me because of my leggings.

That's quite a story. 😁

So, where are you living these days? And how are you managing to cover your bills if you don't have a steady job? 🙄
Hahaha, well, everything finally clicks into place now 😁
You’re basically the king of the universe... 🙏

I was born back in '86, 🙂

But you still haven't answered the real question—what kind of underwear were you rocking before those shorts, Silvio? 🍿

Feel free to throw my name in the headline too, because as of today, I’m officially an honorary follower of silverwolf88's profile. 😎 ☕

I honestly can’t wrap my head around who would ever dress like this 🤣 🤣 unless they were dealing with some pretty serious mental health issues 😁 , because back during
Tito's era, nobody would have dared to act that flamboyant. 👍

Hey Silvio, what were you wearing before you switched to those tight shorts? Did you ever actually enjoy wearing any other kind of pants? 😉
I was wondering if a 1% salicylic acid solution would be available via prescription ear drops?

Thanks. 😉

Living with Otosclerosis in Health ·
I suppose I should probably introduce myself to the group, though I’m feeling a little out of my depth here, much like a novice trying to navigate the stock exchange on a Monday morning. It’s a bit daunting stepping into these discussions, but I figured it was high time I stopped lurking in the shadows and actually contributed something meaningful to the conversation. I don't claim to be an expert by any stretch of the imagination—far from it, really—but I do have a certain curiosity that tends to get the better of me, which usually leads to more questions than actual answers. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you, provided you can tolerate my occasional bouts of confusion and my tendency to overthink things. kaže:

Hey everyone,
So, I’ve just been handed a diagnosis of otosclerosis, and since it might only be in the early stages, I’m sitting here caught in that awkward limbo where I’m still debating whether to actually go through with surgery or just let things play out.

I noticed that "Ear Problems & Various Issues" thread is still sitting right at the top of the forum; honestly, it’s been dominating the front page for months now, which makes it kind of hard for any of the newer topics to actually get a glance from anyone.
They’re definitely starting to make themselves heard, though I suppose we should be careful not to shove every single little thing under one giant umbrella just for the sake of it. 😉

When you’re facing this kind of decision, it really feels like you're caught between two different paths, though both essentially aim to get you back to hearing clearly again. You basically have two ways to handle it: you can go the route of getting a hearing aid, or you can opt for surgery to remove the stirrup bone and replace it with a prosthetic.
In most instances, it actually ends up restoring your hearing entirely.

We actually had a nearly identical thread running for years over on the Yahoo! music boards called UUOT—it was all about what we were listening to at that exact moment—and even today
it remains a legendary staple on Reddit, mostly because Netov shut down the old Yahoo! site back around 2012.
Never mind, I managed to get it sorted out.

Grace Davis77 said:I really need to head out and get myself checked out by a maxillofacial surgeon.

Thank you. 🙂
Hi everyone, I was at my primary care physician today and she gave me a referral for a follow-up with an ENT. I've been there quite a few times before,
but she also handed me a referral for audiology (my last ENT report specifically recommended that I get tone audiometry and tympanometry done at an audiology
clinic). My doctor suggested I give them a call to see if they can just issue the referral for the tympanometry then, and eventually told me that
two referrals have been sent out over to their system. Honestly, I walked away feeling like even my own doctor wasn't entirely sure why I need a separate referral specifically for tympanometry ?
Is it really impossible to get that done during my first appointment with the audiologist if it isn't explicitly listed on the paperwork?

Since this will be my very first time visiting the audiology department—I've actually never been—it's a bit of a process. We only have one audiologist in San Diego since the previous one retired,
though I think someone new has stepped in recently. On the other hand, we have plenty of ENT specialists available. I'm going to call both departments tomorrow, but I'm still stuck on this whole tympanometry thing; why can't I just handle it during that initial audiology visit? Can't I just show them the findings from my ENT...

Every time I want to book an appointment with the general ENT clinic, I have to play phone tag for about an hour before I finally get through, usually landing an appointment a week or two out.
I’ll try calling the audiology department tomorrow as well and just be persistent; hopefully, the nurse there can clear up the confusion regarding the tympanometry, because getting this checked is pretty important to me.

In our area here in San Diego, the audiology department is still tucked away in the old wing of the hospital, while the ENT department moved over to the new facility quite a while ago.

Thanks for any help you can give. 👍

In San Diego, looking through health experts regarding bilateral TMJ subluxation? Now I’m stuck wondering if my best bet is seeing a maxillofacial surgeon or
an oral surgeon; I know an ENT can handle smaller procedures, like joint cleaning, and I'm curious about joint injections—is that something strictly handled by
specialists, or can I just go privately?

I’m not interested in those "wait and see" approaches because they don't do a thing. This subluxation has been hitting my ear and face for nearly two years now, and the X-rays clearly show a severe
disorder. I’ve had scans taken with both my mouth open and closed, and on top of that, I’ve been dealing with dermatitis in my ear that burns and itches every single day for a year and a half, plus this constant pain.
I haven't gone to a dermatologist because I assume they don't carry an otoscope to actually look inside? I've tried various drops and ointments, but nothing works
in the long run, since dermatitis is a chronic skin inflammation. Apparently, if the dermatitis is inside the ear, it's strictly an ENT's job, and you only see a dermatologist if
it's just on the outer part of the ear.

I had chronic ear pain from TMJ. I started getting Botox in the jaw muscles near my ear and it is life changing! No more ear pain.

That was a comment from some random forum, and now I'm really curious about those injections. Can an ENT administer them directly into the joint, or does Medicare not cover that kind of thing?
I'm not talking about Botox; I mean anti-inflammatory shots, just something to get me past this dead end.

Thanks for any help at all! 😉 Because honestly, nobody has actually helped me with the subluxation yet, even though I've seen several specialists. All they ever tell me is not to open my
mouth too wide and to avoid hard foods. Because of all that, even my left ear felt muffled and throbbed painfully for a long time, which eventually cleared up on its own, but the right side has been bad for almost two years
now. 😢The subluxation on the right side is worse; there’s this intense popping in my jaw and ear, and my whole side feels strained, especially in the morning or whenever I talk too much.

I’ve heard that Riluzole doesn't really buy you much extra time, though I suppose it’s still worth a shot—thanks for sharing anyway. 👍
Living with ALS: Support and Advice in Health ·
The neurological report came back after some private EMG testing, and apparently, the results align with a developing case of MND. This individual has been on a blended diet for about a year now,
and they're completely unable to eat anything else. On top of that, they’ve been bedridden for four years, dealing with constant pain and spasms in their face, arms, legs, and everywhere in between—it's just relentless. Is there any glimmer of hope left here?

I keep reading these grim statistics saying people pass away anywhere from two to five years after diagnosis, though sometimes it stretches to ten. Interestingly, despite struggling to breathe for years, they haven't actually needed a ventilator yet, which feels like
another layer to this, especially since they also have a severe form of myasthenia gravis. I know there’s talk about stem cell therapy for ALS, but let’s be honest, the cost is absolutely astronomical.
