There's a reason they call them empty shells 🙂

I like being alive, so I'm not doing that again.

You are likely the sane one here; personally, I find that one out of every hundred people isn't worth the trouble.

I suppose one could simply surrender to the sheer weight of existence, though I find myself wondering if such an act wouldn't be a trifle dramatic, even for someone as prone to melancholy as I am. 🙄😲☕

It seems that, for my part, even a dose of diazepam simply isn't quite enough; I find myself in those rather difficult positions where neither olanzapine nor risperidone can ever truly manage to lull me into a deep sleep, no matter how much one might hope they would.☕

I tend to take it roughly every six months or so, though I won't dwell on the specifics here...

I wonder if anyone else has ever found themselves reaching for even a tiny 2mg dose just to find some semblance of peace. As for me, I am currently taking 20mg, and yet, quite embarrassingly, sleep still remains an elusive stranger to me. Yes, truly. ☕

It is an incredibly old medication, though I must admit it remains remarkably effective for many. My one lingering concern, however, is that it can unfortunately lead to the development of diabetes.

Yet another stabilizer... though, if I’m being perfectly honest with myself, I’m really not even certain if it's truly necessary at this stage.

I wonder if anyone else here is currently taking them? Personally, I find them to be quite effective, though I must admit I have become somewhat dependent on them myself.
Unrealistic movie tropes and plot holes in Movies ·
From everything I have gathered through my reading thus far, it seems these aren't actual bullets at all, but rather projectiles filled with colored dye.

Personally, if a film leans too heavily into being hyper-realistic, I find myself quite unable to sit through it.
It is much like the raw energy of rock and roll, isn't it? Uff.☕
slymaker24 said:urgent question:

What steps should one take to ensure someone diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia—who has been deemed legally incapacitated and therefore has a court-appointed guardian—is taken in for involuntary psychiatric treatment, given that they are refusing all medication and are starting to pose a potential danger to those around them?

Any guidance would be sincerely appreciated!

Well, you simply call 911 and request both emergency medical services and the police; they will respond, and the individual will ultimately end up in a psychiatric facility.☕
WTF? How is this even possible? in Miscellaneous ·
Well, it appears that today is finally Friday, and the local crew is out there right now, diligently clearing away the debris and getting everything tidied up for the upcoming harvest ☕

Roger Morgan4 said:Is it actually possible for someone to simply have no desire to fall in love? I mean, could a person consciously choose to ignore or even pretend they don't notice those physical tells when they're reacting to someone else?

I suppose anything is possible, really.
wiredmoose6 said:Look, most people will see this and assume it’s just another endless loop of "what is love" or "finding purpose," but it isn't.
On forums—and unfortunately, even within mainstream psychology—you can find an infinite number of threads about falling in love where everyone just drifts into these vague, philosophical, romanticized tangents.
I’m begging the moderators: please don't move this thread over to Psychology, Social Sciences, or heaven forbid, Philosophy.

Since I haven't been able to dig up much substance online, I want to know: what actually triggers falling in love? How does it manifest, how does it break down, etc.?
I'm talking about all those wonderful—and less wonderful—chemical reactions and everything else.
I'm looking for more than the standard "it's just brain chemistry" answer.

Thanks.
The floor is yours.🙏

The reasoning behind my perspective is quite straightforward, if one takes a moment to consider it: it simply isn't healthy or sustainable to spend one's entire existence living under the same roof as one's parents, siblings, grandparents, and the rest of the extended kin lucky enough to be nearby./
rather, it is a fundamental, almost primal instinct to depart from that original childhood home in order to establish one's own distinct tribal unit, which we commonly refer to as a family.
What is your body's natural baseline? in Psychology ·
If I am being entirely honest with myself, my baseline state tends to drift toward a certain level of cynicism and low spirits, though I have found that a truly exceptional film paired with a decent sandwich can occasionally lift my mood quite effectively. I should like to invite you all to share what your own natural physiological and emotional equilibrium looks like...☕

I find myself wondering, quite frankly, whether anyone else has stumbled upon this particular video and felt that same peculiar sense of disorientation I did.
