The revolving door of leadership in professional leagues in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I’ve been thinking lately about how much the "face" of a major sports organization matters, and how quickly things can shift when the person at the top is under pressure. It’s one thing to have a great event or a successful weekend, but it’s another thing entirely when there’s this underlying cloud of uncertainty about whether the leadership is actually staying put for the long haul.

It feels like every time a league hits a growth spurt or a major milestone, the administrative side starts sweating. You see these massive, high-profile spectacles that look perfect on the surface, but if you look closer, the power struggles and the contract talks are basically happening in the background of every single broadcast. It makes me wonder if the stability we see on the court is just an illusion compared to the chaos in the front offices.

Do you think a league can actually maintain its momentum if the leadership is constantly being questioned or replaced right as things are finally starting to take off?

I really can't stand my current handle; the way it looks and sounds just feels too suggestive. Even a few other people on here have pointed it out to me 🕺
Keyboard recommendations? in Computer Peripherals ·
Hey, let me know what you think when you get a chance. And please, whatever you do, don't accidentally snag the last one in stock (assuming I end up pulling the trigger on it too)! 😁 .

Talk about great minds thinking alike! 🙂 I actually swung by Silicon Valley today and got a chance to test out that SteelSeries mouse in person. You hit the nail on the head—it feels incredibly solid and substantial in the hand. It’s retailing for $233 there. I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet, though; I'm having such a hard time deciding, especially when I realize I have the exact same dilemma waiting for me once I pick out a mouse 😢.

Edit: Does anyone know which switches are inside that SteelSeries? 🤔

This Corsair one has red lighting. Since this would be my very first mechanical keyboard, I’m honestly a little nervous about whether I’ll actually like the feel of it. I feel like I’ve spent forever digging through every single deal and watching endless review videos online, but I still can't say for sure if I've found "the one."
I was also looking at this Razer DeathAdder model; it's definitely on my shortlist. I'm not exactly an expert, though—does anyone know if it's possible to order custom keycaps with our own letters or symbols?

I don't really have a recommendation for you since I'm actually hunting for something in that same budget range myself. I’ve been debating whether it’s worth splurging on a higher-end model—they definitely look stunning and usually check every single box on my wishlist—but dropping $467 hmm 🤔 feels like a lot.
This one caught my eye though, the Corsair Void RGB, $200
Best gaming monitor recommendations? in Computer Peripherals ·
Hey everyone, I didn't want to start a whole new thread, so I figured I'd just jump in here. I'm looking for a solid gaming monitor, but honestly, I'm a bit out of my depth when it comes to all the specs. I found these two options and would love to get your take on them:

My budget is around $667, so if you know of anything better out there, please let me know! Also, if anyone could suggest a graphics card that would pair well with whichever monitor I pick, that would be amazing. Thanks so much! 🙂
velvetmoose9 said:Zofran and Ondantor technically have the exact same active ingredient (ONDANSETRON).

I'm curious—what specific signs or symptoms led to the conclusion regarding Grandma:
1. That Zofran isn't working for her?
2. And how can we be sure Ondantor will help if she hasn't tried it yet?

Ondansetron is an incredibly effective medication when it comes to preventing or reducing nausea and vomiting caused by things like chemotherapy (though its effectiveness can vary depending on the specific chemo drug being used).
Unfortunately, it’s not a magic bullet. It works better for some people than others. I've even heard of cases where it works wonders during one cycle, fails during the next, and then suddenly starts working again. The bottom line is that it's pretty tough to predict exactly how much relief any individual patient will get.
One tricky part is determining the right timing—how long before the chemotherapy session she should take it. This is especially hard to gauge with older patients, given that metabolism slows down, digestion changes, and there are often other health conditions or regular medications to consider.

If I were you, I’d definitely reach out to her doctors for more specifics regarding whether Ondantor or Zofran is the better way to go...

She finished one box of Ondantor (10 tablets) and felt like a whole new person! After that, we switched over to Zofran since it's so easy to find (we knew it was the same thing), but it just hasn't been nearly as effective. She's still feeling nauseous, so we've concluded that Ondantor really is the better fit for her, which is why we're trying to track it down.
Thanks so much for the insight; we'll definitely follow up with her medical team.
Hi everyone,

Has anyone heard anything about Ondansetron 8 mg? It’s the medication used to help with nausea during chemo. If you happen to know where I can get my hands on some, or if you have an extra box lying around from a relative or friend that isn't being used, please let me know—I am more than willing to buy it. My grandmother is currently battling cancer, and I was only able to track down one single box over in Santa Barbara. I've been calling everywhere across the US, but it seems like this specific brand is impossible to find right now. It helps her so much, but apparently, production has stopped. I'm just holding onto hope that maybe someone here might have some luck. The generic Zofran just doesn't seem to work for her. We're based in Washington, D.C., and honestly, every single day counts for us. Any help would mean the world.

I hope I'm posting this in the right place. If not, please feel free to move this thread...
I actually stopped taking birth control pills about two months ago, and I’m planning to start using herbal teas and drops in the next few days. That said, there's a whole conversation surrounding this topic—though I'm not entirely sure if it's the right place to bring it up here.

It’s been about a year and seven months now.
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
I’m sticking with Diane because my hormone imbalance causes such bad hair loss and irregular periods... It’s funny, my gynecologist is actually pushing me to stop taking them altogether. She’s being pretty insistent about it, but I’m just not on board. Honestly, I don’t quite get why she’s being so stubborn when things have finally settled down—my hair has actually stabilized and stopped falling out so aggressively.
Regarding cellulite and water retention—do those things actually fade at all, or do they just completely "disappear" once you stop taking birth control?

My gynecologist wants to switch me over to a milder option (I'm on Diane 35 right now), so I was wondering if it's possible for the negative side effects to go away with a different pill, or at least become less intense? For instance, if I end up switching to Yaz, Yasmin, or something else entirely?

Is it possible to transfer from Seka Town to Paper Town?

The request was denied based on rule number 4.
I actually swung by there about a week ago, only to realize I’d made a wasted trip because you have to make an appointment now! So, I went ahead and booked everything online for January 10th. When I had my blood work done a few months back, they weren't doing this appointment thing at all, so this is clearly a new policy they've rolled out!
