Oh, please. Why don't you just head on down there and tell them you left your XYZ behind while he was on shift, and then see if they actually "hook you up" with him?

restlesshawk122 said:Hey everyone.

I'm wondering which of these two medications works better for anxiety, and what the big differences are between them?

Thanks.

From what I gather, Xanax is usually brought out for the heavy-duty anxiety stuff, whereas Ativan is a bit different.
Honestly, which one is "better" just depends on whatever diagnosis you're looking at.

If you want the deep dive on how they differ, you’ll probably have to wait for a chemist, a psychiatrist, or maybe someone who actually uses them to chime in. 🤷
Look, if I had my way, I’d find myself a partner who’s gorgeous, young, brilliant, highly educated, loaded, physically and mentally fit, sweet, hilarious, charming, head-over-heels obsessed with me, and—bonus points—has a mom I actually get along with. But, you know, life isn't exactly a Hollywood rom-com.

When you're in that early stage of meeting someone you might actually want to build a future with, I guess I’d probably steer clear of people dealing with severe mental health struggles. Same goes for major physical disabilities. It’s not that I wouldn't be capable of loving someone in that situation, it's just that while I still have my wits about me and things feel under rational control, I tend to avoid stuff that’s obviously going to make my life a massive uphill battle.

I actually live with someone who deals with their own psychological issues, so I know firsthand the huge gap between saying "that doesn't bother me at all" and actually living through the reality of it. That first part? Easy as pie. It takes zero effort to type out or say out loud. But the second part? Man, that is incredibly hard.

Believe me, it actually works. 😉 For instance, after finishing an exam every single day, I celebrate by heading out to Boston—but I only allow myself that luxury if I actually pass the test. 👍

That’s actually a pretty slick way to handle it.

Another thing that might help you out is studying in a group or even just with a partner. I guess it’s just easier to stay focused on another person than it is to stare at a textbook for hours
Raymond Sanchez7 said:No, I was referring to that lady positioned directly above you...🙄
If I were to suggest that you were being called out—and I suspect I am quite certain that you were—I believe I would be correct in assuming the remark was directed squarely at you... yes... hm... indeed.

But you didn't even quote me🤣

And honestly, just asking for the chemical composition isn't "strictly science," because providing half an explanation is basically just being misleading🤷
Raymond Sanchez7 said:I would kindly ask that whenever you attempt to venture into any sort of philosophical discourse, you bypass this particular thread, given that everything has been quite thoroughly laid out in the opening post
And yes, if one could actually provide a purely physical explanation for love, then understanding the mechanics of falling in love would be a piece of cake

Are you actually telling me that?
This isn't even philosophy, man—it’s psychology. And trust me, biology isn't the only way to look at psychology, you know? 😉

I mean, I get that she’s only interested in that one angle. But honestly, trying to understand someone like that by looking at one narrow lens is like trying to explain what whiskey is by only talking about its chemical composition.🤷
Look, it’s not like we fall head over heels just because our oxytocin levels spike; that stuff is more about building actual intimacy and staying attached once things get serious. And pheromones? They might get someone to notice you, sure, but they aren't the reason you actually fall in love.

I mean, you really can't reduce every single complex psychological thing happening in a person's head down to some simple ratio of hormones. Falling in love is way more complicated than that—it's heavily shaped by the culture we grow up in.

1. Look, I’m not just talking about my inner circle here. There's a huge difference between my actual friends and just random people I've met online—they aren't even in the same category to me.
2. It wasn't some big attempt to brag about having a "ride or die" squad where we all cover for each other and never snitch. I'm just stating a fact: none of the people I actually wanted to get to know ever seemed like the type to be fake or overly sycophantic toward anyone (at least from what I could tell).

honestly, those coffee emojis drive me absolutely nuts sometimes

Andrew Sanchez572 said:There are quite a few people on this forum who know who I am, including those who know me in real life...
Though, at this stage, that isn't really the point regarding the anonymity I am discussing.
The matter at hand concerns forum anonymity.
I make a concerted effort to stand behind every statement I make and every action I take, including the act of reporting others.

Of course, that isn't always feasible, and there are certain individuals on this forum who are so incredibly thick-headed that it is better to simply give them a wide berth to avoid conflict, though fortunately, they aren't the majority.

Those types of repulsive characters eventually face a permanent ban anyway, so it is actually better to report them as often and as anonymously as possible.
I once made a mistake dealing with someone like that myself, so now I am twice as careful...😳

Me too, I guess.
But it sort of lines up with the fact that I’ve never really felt the urge to go after those specific types of people.🤷

It’s not like I feel ashamed or scared or anything when I report someone, but I don't make a massive scene out of it either.
If the person actually asks me who reported them, I’ll happily tell them it was me.
It's just that, usually, those people already know they wrote something disgusting, so it pretty much doesn't matter who flagged them.

Eh, whatever, the main thing is just getting them reported.😁

To my mind, this whole concept of anonymity is utterly distasteful... 😢

So, you're asking what my name is? Honestly, I don't really have one of those fancy, official names you'd find on a driver's license or a Starbucks cup. I’m just here, hanging out in the digital ether, I guess. Just another voice in the crowd, if that makes any sense. No big labels, no titles—just me. 🥳

I mean, honestly, I don't really see the difference between having some random user like mrkvica_velika_25cm reach out to tell me they reported me, or just sitting here wondering which anonymous troll actually pulled the trigger. It’s all the same headache, I guess. 🤷

Besides that, I really hope other people on here are actually reporting the trash posts I flag. Because look, if I’m the only one seeing the issue when someone writes some vile garbage claiming all women want to be raped because they supposedly enjoy it, then we’ve got way bigger problems on our hands than just my little blowout fight with Carrot-Top over there.

Honestly, I don't see why anyone needs to go out of their way to lecture someone or get into some massive debate about how Beck’s ex was acting. It’s not like I’m his mother or anything. I just really have zero interest in jumping into these arguments where everyone is just being absolute jerks to one another.

posts, if I happen to spot someone breaking the rules.
And I’m not out here giving them a heads-up, either. Honestly, if someone is being that incredibly rude—either they didn't bother reading the rules or they read them and just decided to ignore them anyway—I don't see why I should waste my breath giving them a warning.
Ego complaint. in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, nobody's really going to answer you because your little grievance doesn't even touch on a single actual rule on this Reddit

Seriously, telling someone they aren't allowed to violate rights guaranteed by the Constitution isn't an insult or a threat—it’s just stating a fact. 🤷

It’s been a full 24 hours, not just some twelve-hour window.
Oh yeah, I’m currently on day eight of my cycle.

Sorry, I’ve been puking all over my screen for hours so my head is kind of spinning right now.😵

So, yeah, the 8th.
Look, just take the pill now, but honestly, you should probably use some other form of protection too, just to be safe.
Your birth control is probably still working fine, but I guess it's better not to play games with this stuff.

It’s been less than twelve hours. Like, seriously, we’re talking razor-thin margins here, but yeah—it hasn't even hit the twelve-hour mark yet.
Look, if you're already seven days into your break, then honestly, it’s probably not even worth stressing about. I mean, at that point, it’s basically a non-issue, right? It’s like, just let it go.

Yeah (you can start)
So, you’re actually grabbing the first 7th or 8th day?
