Why is there such a "God complex" among doctors? in Psychology ·
I’ve always felt that a fancy title or a degree doesn't actually define who you are as a person... Sadly, I've run into someone exactly like that before.

I’m actually planning on giving this one a read... 😉

I used to take mirzaten... but all it really did was make me sleepy and leave me feeling a bit sluggish.
And look... being able to sleep is fine and all, but if I can't get even half of my daily tasks done because of it, that’s just not okay.
I stopped taking them and honestly, I feel much better now. 😉

I actually have that book sitting right here at home
I haven't quite gotten around to reading it yet
but I definitely plan to, hopefully soon

What’s the point in throwing in the towel? I mean, if you look at all those crazy predictions about the world ending on December 21, 2012... why bother feeling hopeless when we supposedly won't even be around in three years anyway? It just feels a bit silly to stress over it.

lupus, you're a Libra?? haha... that's funny... my partner and my mom are both Libras too

Anyway, just vent if you need to, but please don't go jumping off any skyscrapers.......

...calling it immoral isn't quite right, if you ask me... things are genuinely difficult right now, and when people are under this kind of pressure, logical thinking just goes out the window.
Come on guys, let's try to find a little sunshine here. I’m struggling too—I’ve got a massive crisis going on at my university and everything feels like it's falling apart, but am I going to end it all?? Of course not, even though some days it feels tempting, I'm not going there.

Lupus.....

Hehe... You know, dreams are usually just our brains processing everything that happens during the day, so try not to let them get under your skin too much. I have all sorts of weird dreams myself—falling, flying, you name it. It’s just how it goes. Honestly, I think you might just be overthinking things a bit. And seriously, why would you view yourself as a victim? And why on earth would you think God would take pleasure in that? Don't go down that road; it's not a healthy way to look at things...
I don't have a girlfriend myself, but do you really think there isn't a single girl out there for you? Just as a little experiment... give it two weeks. If you set up a profile on Tinder, I bet you'll have five different girls messaging you the very same day 😉))))

BRAVO 😉
brightlynx39, I feel like we could actually shake hands on this one. If things were ever truly perfect and everything just went smoothly for everyone... well, people might actually lose interest in all that dark stuff they dwell on.

I’m really not here to judge anyone. Depression isn't just a bad mood; it’s this heavy thing that hits your mind, your spirit, and your body all at once. It makes you feel like a completely different person, and honestly, it can feel like you're spiraling toward self-destruction. It’s a heavy reality, unfortunately... but I truly believe we have to find the courage to just be honest and say, "Hey, I need some help right now."

I know that feeling all too well... I tend to slip into those dark places quite often. There isn't always a specific reason for it, which almost makes it harder to deal with. ;( ;( ;(

Give me one good reason why you’d want to give up on life entirely.

Look at it this way... if we followed that logic, anyone who was once perfectly healthy but is now battling a chronic illness would have every reason to just end it all. They don't have their old life back, they're dealing with constant medication, and everything feels different...
The same goes for people in wheelchairs... they could easily feel that way too.
Or those who rely on someone else just to eat or stay clean...
And what about the people who lost their entire world—family members killed in accidents, or perhaps those who lost someone to suicide? What about them? They might feel like there's no point in moving forward because their son or their husband is just gone...

Yet, all these people somehow find the strength to keep fighting, to push through, to find tiny bits of joy or comfort somewhere along the line. At the very least, many find solace in their faith and in God...
I totally get reaching that breaking point. We all hit that wall where our nerves are frayed and our energy is spent. You stand right on the edge, looking down into the abyss, feeling like you just want to jump just to make the problems, the sadness, the aches, and the endless complaining disappear... maybe it would work, but we leave behind so much more than we realize...
I've actually had moments where I thought about ending it myself. But then I ask: why? Is it because I haven't finished my degree yet? Because my boyfriend isn't interested? Because I'm broke? Because I don't measure up to everyone else?
It’s nonsense, really... sure, living with certain burdens is incredibly hard, but it's something you can learn to navigate...
Sometimes people just retreat into themselves, which makes everything feel ten times heavier, and naturally, the darkest thoughts creep in. But everyone has a talent or something they're good at. Lean into that. Even if money is tight, there are plenty of non-profits and community groups out there that offer support for free.
If you're sitting there feeling like life is meaningless... my advice is to go volunteer. Try working at a children's home, or at centers for people with developmental disabilities or mental health struggles...
That's pretty much it...
Do you know how much you'll change? I truly believe you will...
Because everyone thinks their struggle is the heaviest. Tell me, how is a small child to blame for being abandoned like a piece of trash on the street? Nothing. It's clearly the fault of the parents, but even that's unfair, because the child didn't choose any of it...
Gosh... I've gone on and on and now I'm just feeling a bit blue myself...

Man, what a beautiful city, and such a cool birthday too... hey... let's try to find some joy here! If you're up for it, shoot me a private message. I'll give you my full name, and if you're on Facebook, maybe we can catch up there 🙂

Lupus is...
I honestly have no clue how old you are...
but I know you're going to be missed by someone... guaranteed...
Look, I’ve been sitting here thinking about this... and I realized that being selfish might actually be the right move. If I take my own life, I'm just leaving everyone else to suffer through the grief, and I just can't deal with that... yeah...
And then again... what if I survive? What if I end up living with a disability, completely dependent on other people? There's just no way...
You aren't some tough guy persona, I'm sure of it... I don't know where you're from, but I truly believe there's a girl out there for you. You just have to let go of everything holding you back...
As for a social life, I don't really have one either. It's just a few close friends and a bunch of people who hang around me because they want something. But hey, look at it this way—they need me, I need them, so we're even...

Hey, listen, please don't think like that...
Do you really believe that's an escape? That death is the answer?
Just try to picture what this would do to your parents, your friends, your whole family... to the people who will be left picking up the pieces...
They won't understand why, and they’ll be absolutely devastated. There isn't a way to go back and undo that kind of pain for them...
Please, just go talk to a therapist. You can work through anything—there is always a way out, truly everything... you just need to look at it from a different angle, or tell someone else so they can give you an objective perspective, since it's so hard to see things clearly when you're stuck in your own head.
