Arthur Barnes said:Is he worth any less today? Not in my book. But honestly, he’d probably bother me even less if I hadn't heard him back then and just discovered him now.

Unless you've had some massive, life-altering shift in how you actually perceive music, I genuinely don't get how you can even argue that... 🤷

Edit: I think you mentioned that track from the "One Kiss Can lead to another" compilation—you know, the one with those obscure 60s female doo-wop groups. So, let me ask you: would that song actually be "better" (as a piece of recorded music) if you didn't have access to the original vinyl, which is basically impossible to find these days?
Kyle Jackson54 is dropping some serious wisdom here 👍
Arthur Barnes said:Exactly, because any judgment on "value" is totally subjective anyway.

That’s why I used the phrase "I'll just throw out..." instead of just dropping Daydream Nation in there. You know, pick an album you actually have to work a little harder to get into, rather than just the easy go-to.
Brenda Scott14 said:The whole new way music gets released—where basically anyone can stream anything whenever they want—it forces us to consume it differently.
It’s a formula you could pretty much apply to movies, TV, or honestly just about everything else.

I feel like you're blurring the lines between format and form here. I mean, the actual structure of a feature film hasn't really changed much in like, 90 years. You could watch something like *Gone with the Wind* on your iPhone, but I highly doubt that (assuming you even like that movie 🙂 ) would actually give you any kind of satisfying viewing experience 🙂

It's the exact same deal when it comes to the format of a classic LP 🙂
Arthur Barnes said:Basically, if something becomes easier to get your hands on, it loses its value, right? 🤷

I don't even follow... by that logic, is Daydream Nation somehow less valuable now than when we were all kids killing ourselves just to track it down? 😕
Finally, a thread worth reading...😍

Personally, I still find myself romanticizing those days when you’d obsessively loop the sixth track on your seventh copy of an album (recorded onto a 🙂 TDK D cassette) just because it was a "must-have"... but, honestly...

Even with all the digital clutter we have today—which is honestly getting pretty cheesy, kind of like a kid in a candy store 😍—I still stumble upon certain albums that I’ll just play from start to finish without stopping... and man, that feeling is pure bliss 🎉🎉🎉

...it was actually my birthday back then, too. I probably would've been there supporting the scene like I always am, but man, that feels like a lifetime ago... 🤷

Hey 😉

Do I really have to start repeating myself soon? It's like, if you can't see it with your own eyes, what's the point?

I honestly have no idea what you're getting at here. Are you actually trying to mock me, or are you just calling out my total lack of class? 😕
I honestly feel sick thinking back to 1996, when you guys actually believed Maroon 5 was the beginning and end of music... complete idiots. 👍
Raymond Barrett12 said:And honestly, I just want to wish the organizers all the best with this message:

Give me a break. The organizers are absolute garbage. You couldn't find a single wristband on that patch of dirt unless you were some millionaire willing to drop a fortune just to catch one band you actually care about. 🙏🙏🙏
Only one guy has fans even more delusional than Johnny Cash, and that’s gotta be MTV. I mean, seriously, for Christ's sake, some people actually swear by that Fisherman's Friend album... how fucking low can you go? 🙄
vividcanyon2 said:Look, 🙏 😍 🙏 okay, maybe I wanted to pelt him with mud a few times, but hey, I guess it’s just love... he actually had the nerve to ask me "where are my hands" while we were listening to Tupac. Honestly? I almost lost it...

hard on for love 🙏 🙏 🙏

I love him so much (yeah, right, shut up) and honestly, his physique isn't even that bad in person.

Sweetheart, if you think those die-hard fans are the peak of intellectual sophistication... wow. You're a total disaster. And if you're actually around, what, nearly 30 years old? It makes zero sense. Seriously, go find a therapist...🙄
There is only one true LEGEND!!!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏
Bradley Ramos2 said:basically just a cheap imitation posing as Karl-Heinz Dellwo

I’m with you—it’s definitely an imitation. Honestly, if he hadn't insulted the guy, he probably would've ended up just like his buddies Andreas and Ulrike instead of wandering around these brain-dead, retarded festivals in random banana republics acting like some kind of martyr...🙄>

Not for very long, though. Once you actually sit through it... ☕

Seriously, Dejo, have you no shame? You spend all this time just farming posts, and then you waltz in here trying to act like some big critic praising a movie... honestly, it’s pathetic. Just absolute bottom-of-the-barrel behavior. 🙄🙂
I mean, let’s just protest for, I don't know, Justin Timberlake instead. He’d absolutely demolish this whole concept of "unclassified" and "half-dead" artists, and he'd finally show those acne-prone intellectuals and those deathly serious bores who actually runs the show... 🙂

Not....🤮
Christian Perez18 said:I grabbed my ticket just for Nick, honestly, that was reason enough for me....

What am I supposed to do with your money? I've got eyes for a rugged farm boy, thanks anyway....

Robin Rodriguez5 said:Look at these mummies crawling out of their pyramids again.

Where have you been hiding, you old nostalgic? Honestly, your nostalgia might even be worse than mine, which is saying something since mine is basically impossible to pull off... 🙂

Come on, just gather at least two, three, four—as many as it takes—people so we don't look ridiculous on national TV...🙄
Raymond Barrett12 said:"The Performance: 40 minutes of puking to Elvis Presley's 'Dalmatian'
Last night in San Francisco, the artist Lady Gaga put on a performance where she spent about forty minutes vomiting into a metal basin while an Elvis Presley track played on loop in the background. Gaga kept two fingers down her throat, relentlessly throwing up to the lyrics "A Dalmatian wears a necklace around his neck..."

She clearly missed the point entirely, but hey, three Es worth of commitment, I guess... 🙏🙏🙏

The lineup is such a total train wreck of idiots that it can't be real—honestly, you'd have better luck watching Nick Cave get into an eternal argument with God... 🙂🙂🙂

P.S. Even MMK couldn't pull this one off...
