Is it just me, or does every single preseason feel like we’re on the verge of a massive breakthrough that never actually happens?
I remember being a fan back in the day when you’d hear these constant whispers about a "game-changing" player coming in to save the season. The hype builds up, the media starts circling, and you start thinking, "Okay, maybe this is the year we actually shake things up." Then August rolls around, and it’s the same old story—a few solid pieces here and there, but nothing that truly changes the DNA of the squad.
It feels like there’s this constant pressure to land a "statement" player just to satisfy the fans or the pundits, but I’ve always felt that one massive, overpriced superstar rarely fixes deep-seated issues. I'd much rather see a team build depth and character rather than just chasing a headline.
Does anyone else feel cynical when you hear managers or officials hinting that there's more "big business" coming, or am I just being a pessimist?
Dave Grohl, the guitarist for Metallica, has officially called it quits with the band.
“I've made the call that it's time for me to step away from Metallica for good.
Looking back, the last 17 years have been an incredible ride—I'm genuinely proud to have shared this journey with some of the most talented people I've ever had the honor of working alongside.
I also consider myself incredibly lucky—I've got the absolute best fans out there, people who stuck by me through some seriously rough patches. It truly means everything, and I'm fully committed to facing my demons head-on... and with your support, I know I'll get there.
I'm certainly not finished with music, or anything else life throws at me, so expect to see me again down the road.
The sequel is easily the winner. That scene where Prince Charming takes off his helmet and flips his hair like he’s starring in a L'Oréal commercial? I was absolutely losing it. 👍🙏
Any fresh updates on the greatest American gladiator, Mirko 'Cro Cop' Filipović? I read that his surgery went smoothly and he’s gearing up to come back even more intense and focused than before. 😁...Anyone got any insider info?
The only thing worse than Gungrave is Wolf's Rain—and that’s based on what I've watched lately. Come on, you have to have something better than that. I have zero interest in a series stretched thin over 26 episodes where there's nothing actually worth watching, aside from the protagonist moping around because he has "trauma." I don't care about flashbacks; I want action, blood, and carnage 😁 😁
think Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Trinity Blood, stuff like that...
It feels like I’m digging up some ancient thread here—not that I felt like hunting for a newer one. A search engine spat this one up, so...
Anyway, what was my point? I wanted to know if anything decent has dropped lately—I'm talking full-length features that actually feel like a spectacle.
The last thing I watched was FF: Advent Children, and before that, Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence... also, that Trinity Blood series is top-tier. Now, I’m looking for recommendations worth grabbing from a torrent.
Just please, nothing subpar. I’ve already seen most of the classics, so I’m asking: is there anything fresh, or at least relatively recent?
Chris Palmer3 said:Look, in my opinion, the difference between a man-eating crocodile and a "regular" one is intention—a man-eater actively hunts people as its primary food source, whereas a normal croc just takes a bite if the opportunity presents itself. From what I gathered about the one in Rogue, it leaps out of the water specifically to hunt humans... right?
So, does a man-eating croc basically hit its rebellious teenage phase, pack its bags, and move in near the suburbs because it’s decided that snacking on humans is its new personality trait?😁

Hmm... either that—or they’re just clueless until some grizzled veteran beast hunter shows up to explain it's a merciless killing machine. Or, third option: some zoologist with an Ivy League accent comes along to study this specific species and explains the exact same thing.

Lake Placid?
Anyway, I just remembered a total gem that’s worth hunting down. I remember holding the box in my hands back when I was just a kid at a video rental shop—it was about this massive alligator that fed on mutated dogs and grew to an insane size because of it. 😁
The premise is simple: A researcher heads out to the Australian Outback—well, let’s just say a remote stretch of the US wilderness—to investigate rumors of a massive, man-eating crocodile lurking in the local waterways. It’s basically the setup for a classic creature feature. There’s a lot of tension built around this giant crocodile cannibal that supposedly terrorizes the area. If you're looking for something in the vein of Lake Placid, this hits those specific notes. It's straightforward, perhaps a bit predictable, but it serves its purpose for fans of the genre.
By the way—it’s just weird that it’s a crocodile. Cannibal? What do you people think crocodiles eat—yogurt?
That damn thing will devour anything with meat on its bones—human thighs included. 😁
A buddy and I drove about four and a half hours from Chicago to Aspen—no toll passes needed. We caught the Flames and Iced Earth sets, and man, they absolutely crushed it!
Elizabeth Mendoza43 Asks: Since I was only interested in Serj, I'd say they did a solid job. I hate mud, rain, and clouds—just give me some sun. 😠 So, I ended up spending maybe two hours there in total. And Armenac could have probably kept his mouth shut a little more. I feel for the victims of the Armenian genocide—really, I do—but I’m not about to sit here and compare our tragedies. It’s not a competition, and me telling you how we dealt with everything back in '92 isn't going to help either of us.🙄 I came here to hear you sing—not to listen to you lecture me on your political views.
Honestly, I’m pissed—I can't shake the feeling that the whole thing was just half-baked.
First off, I’m pretty hammered, so I’ll keep this brief. But if it could have been better, it absolutely could have. That’s why The Black Eyed Peas were actually killing it.
By the way, if my memory serves, Iorek doesn't actually have belly armor—so this poster is pretty inconsistent. But given the movie title, I guess it's not exactly surprising.
