The guy likely has a hundred thousand times more musical training than you do—but there's always going to be some smart-aleck on a forum calling him a clown. Personally, I liked the clip; the melody works for me. Now, you're probably wondering which melody?
Steve Vai once addressed comments exactly like yours—specifically the idea that guitarists obsessed with "technique and speed" have less artistic value than the "classics." He called that nonsense. Achieving that level of skill takes massive effort, and it deserves respect. At the end of the day, you either like it or you don't—and honestly, I don't think any of us are qualified enough to judge "artistic impression." It's subjective. You like it or you don't. Nothing more.

Think about how much Hendrix just messed around on the guitar... how many actual notes could you even pick out from him?

Does anyone actually know where Michelangelo performed? I'm trying to figure out if he ever had a full band or if he just stuck to solo guitar stuff. All I've seen so far is that one clip, "Speed Kills"...🙏 😵 🙂

Yeah... he's good, but you can't really lump him in the same category as Stefanovski.😕

Anyway, Božić is an awesome guy—really easy to talk to. I actually teased him once after a show, joking that he should have had a soccer player similar to a young Satriani.
He told me all about playing with Jimi Hendrix. Truly legendary stuff.👍

I don't know what the hell is wrong with Schafer—why is everyone so hyped about the worst IE record ever? If this was the peak, what are we supposed to expect from the new one? It’s meant to be his magnum opus, a sort of successor to horror show, right?
And Barlow wasn't exactly a genius frontman anyway, especially after he left to become some low-rent hack writer... but mark my words, he'll be back.

That said, IE are legends—I've never fallen for a band this fast... hopefully, better days are ahead.
