Adam Alvarez5 said:Good evening, everyone! I’m new to the group—I've been lurking and reading through the threads for a few days now, but I figured it was finally time to jump in and ask a few questions regarding the local dining scene... Does anyone know if prices have climbed much since 2010? Specifically, does anyone have a handle on what a menu would have cost back then at places like Dollis, Holy Cross, NIRS, Pirate, or Fabula? I feel like I’m getting a different answer from everyone I ask, so I’m a bit lost on what the actual reality was back then...

Your best bet is just to call them up and ask directly.😉

I was supposed to be heading to the Phoenix venue, but I just heard some pretty wild stuff about that hall.
Can someone please talk me off the ledge if anyone’s actually been there or knows what's up?

Well, you heard exactly what you heard. 🤷
Have you ever actually set foot in there?
Personally, I’ve heard nothing but great things about them, so don't let every random rumor get to you.😉

I was at that party about four years ago

It wasn’t bad—the vibe was actually pretty nice😉
Justin Barrett18 said:I honestly don't even know what that is🤷

😂 pm=private message
Look at the top right corner where it says private messages😉
Paul Mendoza17 said:Actually, I think the venue in Dugopolje might be my best bet.

- Does anyone here have experience hosting events at the Dugopolje location?

- How was the food quality in your experience?

p.s. I heard they have two halls side-by-side, each holding about 300 people, which can be combined to create a larger or smaller space. My concern is whether having two separate weddings happening at the same time would cause any interference between the two groups.

Thanks, Advance!!!

I’m having my wedding at Dugopolje, so I can tell you firsthand—I’ve been there for a reception before.

They have two rooms: a smaller one for maybe 150 guests and a much larger one that holds about 350, if I recall correctly. They're far enough apart that it shouldn't be an issue.😉

brightwolf63, don't you dare tell me you're planning on showing up to weddings😂

unless you're just there for the domestic bliss🤣

So, about that boat—what was it doing there before...? What was the deal with that? Any chance you could track down a photo?
We decided to go with a classic Campanella-style cake, but I’d still love to have some kind of nautical theme or a little boat somewhere in the room.🤣

Maybe nobody just has that specific number.🤷

2. ivanabl asked a good question... tell us which area you're looking at so we can suggest venues... personally, I swear by John... the food is finger-licking good... (merder will back me up :cerek.)

3. They played me. So, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone... plus, a few other ladies here ran into issues during the planning and the actual party.

I second that. 🙂

mistyraven272 said:So, I finally pulled the trigger and went with Lisjak 😁 But I gotta ask you guys... I've already booked the venue, the DJ, the photographer, and the church, so now what? What's actually next on the list?? It feels like I'm way ahead of schedule since the wedding isn't until December
Help a girl out...

Just sit back and relax for now.😁

mistyraven272 said:Yeah, sounds great and all... but honestly, Photoshop doesn't matter if the guy has zero talent and can't actually direct you. I just want something simple without all the crazy editing and stuff... Seems pricey to me too, but hey, you only get married once, right?😁 I still gotta sleep on it.🤷 And it's not Matthews, it's Lisjak.

🙏🙏🙏 You won't regret it 😁

Photo Plus on Marmont.😉
electriccrane2 said:Hey, could someone please send me the contact info for those bands, Tip Top and First League? What’s the verdict on them... any good? Please let me know ASAP, I'm in a bit of a rush
THANKS SO MUCHMMMMMM

I don't have the info for Top Tier, but I have the contact for First League, so here it is.
The comment you're looking for is right above 😉

Been lurking here for a minute now, but finally decided to jump in... Gotta say, you guys have been a lifesaver with all the advice. Seriously, thanks a ton. Anyway, I'm getting married this December. Right now, we've only got the venue locked in—the Bolero—but finding music is turning into a total nightmare... if anyone's heard anything about The Kiki Band or Major League, let me know. Any info helps 😁

I don't know about Kiki, but for Major League... yeah 😍 that's my band... so I highly recommend them.
Just a heads up though, you might want to hurry... I think they're pretty booked up. 😉

Anonymous said:San Antonio had me on edge, but we managed to pull in 150, matching what the Amigos are bringing home.
Over at Le Meridien, there’s way too much stuff in the $167 main menu—it feels cluttered to me.
I’m really not a fan of the vibe at TTTS; you have to trek through such a weird atmosphere just to get to the hall, and honestly, Dugopolje isn't even part of the mix.
Then there's Diocletian, whose website I can't seem to track down. It looks like neither Mammoth nor Castel carry them either.
I know, I know, I'm being super picky... 🙄
In the end, MBM will probably just do its own thing and land that honey reward... 😲

Dioklecijan is great, but it's a restaurant; honestly, it would probably be too small for your group size.
A little context here.☕

Sending.😉
Kimberly Robinson55 said:Hey, I just stumbled upon this video of Jack Skellington's choir online, 1 $0.00 they're actually performing at the cathedral 😁 do you happen to know how many people are in that group?

Man, I’d guess maybe five.
Send me a DM, Chunky—his name is actually...😉
Kimberly Robinson55 said:Ugh, seriously—how much would they even charge if they started performing at my house too? 😲 And the worst part? This guy is actually a friend of my partner's! 😕
I wasn't out hunting for anyone in San Francisco, especially since I have no clue who I'd even look for—plus, it’d probably be pretty awkward for them to show up just for one song, right? 🤷

I don't know, 😢
maybe ask around a bit more.
Someone else might be able to help you out. 🤷
$333 regarding the song😕
it feels a bit much for me
did you see Jack Skellington performing with the group
they're from San Francisco, though
redviper17 said:Wait, back when was it only $38???😛
Last year, around June, I put down a deposit for September and ended up paying $41,
but now you're telling me it's jumped to $45!

I heard the price was $38 too,
though I'm not entirely sure where that info came from.🤷
