Gary Garcia10 said:Hey guys, what kind of whey are you all using? Is anyone hitting those big 10lb tubs from brands like Optimum Nutrition?

I usually just stick with MyProtein, man.😁

Whether it's been six months or a full year... everyone was swearing by it back then. It was being used everywhere, from local gyms to all over the online forums.

but I don't know, it all kind of feels like one of those MyProtein situations.

You get what you pay for, I guess—especially when it comes to how well it actually mixes or digests.

It’s funny because about six months ago, everyone was swearing by Dymatize Elite Whey, and now suddenly I’m seeing people say it’s not that great either...

When someone says it "kind of" feels off, they aren't saying it definitely is, just maybe that it might not be up to par because it's cheaper than the rest. I suppose you can't really judge quality based solely on the price tag.

I'm just talking about product quality here, since we're already nitpicking. 🤷

From what I've gathered, MyProtein is actually a really solid brand... seems like it might even be one of the most popular ones over in the UK.

restlessmason54 said:Look, I’m speaking from my own experience here regarding digestion—if we’re really going to get into the weeds about supplements. 🤷

So you're saying I should just buy whatever is most expensive...?

Personally, I stick with MyProtein. I don't have any digestive issues, their unflavored stuff works fine for me, and the price is right. 🤷

And like I said before, I doubt I'll see any better results just by switching to some top-tier, overpriced whey protein.

restlessmason54 said:Sure, I get all that.
But what about the people who end up with digestive issues because they're drinking low-quality junk loaded with lactose?

In my long history of training and testing just about every brand out there, my vote goes to Optimum Nutrition and MuscleTech. It’s not just because they have big names, but because the quality is actually there. Even if companies try to cut corners globally, I stick to them because they sit best with my stomach and don't cause those side effects we all know too well.

I tried this Impact Whey crap and, honestly, I had some pretty serious digestive issues—mostly bloating and some seriously unpleasant gas. It was basically on par with those X-TREME whey proteins; just total garbage. 🤷 😁

You get what you pay for.
So, don't sell people smoke and mirrors just to make a quick buck for $17; quality matters, and I've always prioritized it without any regrets.

Just because something is $50$33 more expensive doesn't mean it's free of additives... so it's not like you should just grab the most expensive thing on the shelf based on that logic...

I know some people had stomach issues with Bulk Nutrition, while others were fine... so I guess it really is down to the individual.

You did say you were looking for the cheapest option..................................

Even if I drove out to a local Vitamin Shoppe to find something, I doubt I'd find a better deal than just ordering from MyProtein online. 🙂

Sarcasm or not...

So you just head over to Toledo to pick up some Scitec Nutrition, which you could probably find cheaper than Impact Whey anyway.

Yeah, because I’m totally going to drive all the way to Toledo just for some whey protein... 🙄 as if gas is free or something.

Plus, I’ve actually had people tell me to stay away from Scitec, and I don't really know anyone who uses it... so for now, I think I'll just stick with MyProtein...

Gemma pretty much covered all the bases here, though I guess some people are having a bit of a hard time following the conversation.

I'm not sure why I'd need to reread everything from the start... the topic is proteins, and I've already shared my take on them.🙂

As someone who just hits the gym for fun, I pretty much only use whey protein as part of my post-workout meal...

Because of that, I usually just grab whatever the cheapest option is on the shelf. I figure I probably wouldn't see any better results even if I splurged on the most expensive, top-tier whey out there.

I know it’s easy enough once you actually get the hang of it..
Do you happen to have a link to any tutorials? I've been trying to hunt some down myself, but I honestly have no clue what the actual terminology is called..

Nicholas King said:Unless you're working with a super high-res image that actually works with the trace options, you’ll probably waste more time and energy trying the most tedious method: just drop the image onto a locked layer and manually draw your curves right over the top of it.

Well, the quality isn't great, so whenever I try tracing, everything ends up looking all wavy and distorted...

I guess what I'm really asking is how to actually put an image on a locked layer, and which specific tool I should be using to draw those curves?

Does anyone happen to know how to trace a symbol if I've only got a .jpeg? I need it as a vector so I can actually work with it... what’s the name of the tool used for that kind of thing?

I went ahead and added a signature in my settings, but for some reason, it’s not showing up on my posts... any idea what might be causing that?
