If that segment was filmed at the Whole Foods over in Brooklyn, then they must have been shooting today... I was standing in line when they approached me—so, naturally, I gave them the cold shoulder.

If all those hours people aren't working on Sundays don't get paid, you really just have to crunch the numbers.
Just to make it super easy to wrap your head around, let's say you have a local grocery store with six employees. If you pass a law banning Sunday shifts, you've basically wiped out six shifts from the schedule, which means one whole worker becomes redundant because their weekly hours just vanished.
It's a simplified way to look at it, but it gets the point across perfectly.
Did you seriously think you could just pass a law to screw over small business owners and expect them to maintain the exact same payroll costs while their revenue takes a hit?
What do you mean, "reduced revenue"? 🤷 If I don't buy something today, I'll just pick it up another day... I fail to see the logic in claiming revenues will drop just because business isn't conducted on one specific day. 😵
Has it occurred to anyone here that the decision to keep stores closed on Sundays might actually be an attempt to prevent large crowds from congregating in cramped indoor spaces? ☕ Given the typical American mindset—if you know what I mean—half the population would probably spend the entire Sunday loitering in a Target just to avoid being bored at home...
I generally try to steer clear of grocery shopping on Sundays if I can help it... I often find myself auditing what I already have on hand—checking what absolutely needs to be used up—just so I might avoid a trip to the store altogether

An interesting theory—that retail will see lower profits simply because people will just spend that same money on a different day? ☕
It is entirely plausible they just finalized the percentage agreement with their relatives... considering how much money can be siphoned off when you're dealing with tens of millions of units ☕ ...
I would love for Alemka and Wili to explain how this virus manages to infiltrate nursing homes despite all the isolation measures... honestly, the number of confirmed cases seems to be dropping, yet it continues to run rampant through those facilities—even with staff testing and visitor bans in place...
Fair enough, but if it turns out someone on the roster tests positive, the entire squad goes into isolation—meaning the game gets pushed back two weeks 🤷 unless, of course, someone on the opposing team also comes up positive... in which case, we’re looking at another two-week delay 🙂
Are there any Dylan Dog fans here who haven't heard of the Gordon Link? 🙄 Actually, I have a question regarding what might happen if the championships continue: What happens if a player tests positive? Not only would his own team be sidelined—but wouldn't the opposing teams be affected too? Everyone back in quarantine for two weeks, and then we just pick up where we left off?
Subway went under because their prices were simply too high—and frankly, they were being incredibly stingy with the actual ingredients in the sandwiches.
Does anyone recall the name of that comic featuring Dylan Dog—though it went by a different title back then?🤔 I seem to remember Groucho Marx being in there somehow... and Dylan was constantly dealing with all sorts of chaos. The whole thing had this dark, horror-inspired vibe, but Dylan himself was going by a different name at the time...
The Church really ought to be responsible for renovating its own buildings—especially when you consider the sheer amount of taxpayer money it already receives from the US Government

I didn't actually fall for Real Madrid until much later in life—and I lost interest once Cristiano Ronaldo left🤔 hm, perhaps I have only just emerged from puberty...

Back at the start, when the death toll was still in single digits, they were claiming the average age was around 60. But looking at the data from the last few days, it seems like every single case involves someone who lived through the Great Depression.
Well, that’s old news... the high-risk group consists of chronic patients and retirees... and let's be honest, every other retiree has some sort of underlying condition.
Returning to our recurring theme 🧐 it seems the virus has breached the senior living facilities—which implies there are staff members carrying it without showing symptoms, though one wonders how many... 🤔) It appears the circus has only just begun; once they start scouring the homes, it will likely take several months before things finally settle down...
