A family member might need to head there—we’ve heard they’re quite good for pulmonary rehab—but everything I’ve read suggests the patients there are in really rough shape, which sounds difficult to witness...
Since the illness isn't critical in this specific case, our main priority is just finding a safe, steady environment where they can receive consistent care during therapy—regular meals, constant supervision, that sort of thing—so I'm wondering if that facility might be the wrong fit? (especially considering the mental state of someone who isn't severely ill)
Or maybe not?
Has anyone here had any firsthand experience?
Thanks.
Hey there—I was actually supposed to head to that small town in Ohio back when I was 92, but I ended up going to Silver Spring instead because the patients there can be pretty intense. Honestly, it really depends on whether you're looking at care for a child or an elderly person... I'd say the best facility would probably be that one in the small town in Iowa near Washington, D.C., so maybe try reaching out to them to see what they recommend. Good luck!
Personally, I know both Dok and Turk, and honestly—I’ve never met a more wonderful group of people in my entire life. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone without hesitation; you truly won't regret it. Whenever I was in a pinch, they always went out of their way to help me out—they were such a huge support to my diet, too—so I really just want to say a massive thank you to them.
Let me jump in here and share my own experience—I went through the exact same thing and ended up needing a D&C. Honestly, don't just sit there and suffer through the pain; it’s better to deal with it now rather than letting it get worse later. I guess what I'm trying to say is... just take care of yourself. For what it's worth, I got pregnant again just two months after my procedure, and now I have a three-year-old son running around. At that time, I was about 17 weeks along on April 17th, then by June 8th, I was 8 weeks pregnant—though, looking back, nobody can really tell how far along I was at that specific moment. Just hang in there and stay strong.
I honestly wish there was a cure for these heart palpitations... I’ve been dealing with this for about seven years now. It was first discovered seven years ago—before then, I just couldn't prove anything to anyone—but they eventually put me on Propranolol. It was actually a young resident working under Dr. Makarović who finally figured out what was going on, because my heart was racing for nearly ten hours straight and they just couldn't get it to stabilize. They say it stems from intense stress, excitement, or fear, though nobody really knows the exact trigger or when the next episode will hit. Some doctors even joked—laughing, can you believe it?—that it mostly happens to young, attractive women. Hahaha, yeah, right. Anyway, I'm currently on a dosage of 3-80 mg. For me, the attacks usually start kicking in between October and February; I’ve noticed that if I catch a cold or even just a minor sore throat, I’ll end up in the cardiology ward within two days. It’s a recurring cycle, too—I feel like I know everyone in the cardiology department by now. There's just a mountain of paperwork, and it feels like every specialist is just re-prescribing whatever the last guy wrote down. If you guys have any questions at all, please feel free to ask—I'm more than happy to help however I can. Best regards,
Does anyone know if there’s a specific legal timeframe for when the police are supposed to release an accident report? I keep heading down to the station to check on mine—it’s already been a full day since the accident happened—but every single time I go, they just tell me it isn't ready yet. I guess there might be some kind of process involved, but I'm feeling a bit lost on how long this is actually supposed to take. Any advice would be huge—thanks so much!
