Best cheap auto insurance? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Samuel Baker3 said:I’ve been wondering lately about those discussions regarding whether we should move toward a system where, if you’re involved in an accident that isn't your fault, your own insurance provider steps in to cover you immediately, and then they handle the whole process of recovering the funds from the at-fault party's insurer later on.

That would be such a massive move. Honestly, I’d care way more about that than the actual price when picking an insurance company.

Look, you guys can chase the cheapest policy all you want right now, but once someone totals your car, you'll be praying to God that they actually have State Farm or maybe even Allianz. If they're rocking some bottom-tier Allstate knockoff, you're basically screwed.
What do you guys think of my little Ford Fiesta? in Miscellaneous ·
Don't be naive. You're just trying to pass off that junk as a classic VW Golf so people will actually forgive you. Honestly, that thing would score a negative five stars in a crash test. Was there seriously no better foam available than that crap?

lol didn't realize I wasn't supposed to read on the toilet. I usually just scroll on my phone anyway, is that any better?
T-shirt slogan ideas? in Miscellaneous ·
Yo, I need some ideas. Thinking about printing something on a shirt. Theme is the Swiss Franc.
Dammit, we're all getting dizzy from this crap...
It's time to replace the Stinger! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I don't care about Mr. Stinger, and honestly, the other mods don't bother me either.
What actually bugs me is people making clicking noises in their cars, those cheap Chinese xenon lights in a Golf 2, or idiots slamming their car doors into mine...

Been MIA from this thread for a few days, which means exactly one thing: I'm finally feeling better!
The inflammation is dying down since I've been watching my diet.
I get a little sting here and there, but I'm being careful on the toilet and life is good! 👍

Also, can a proctologist actually assault you while you're under anesthesia? It hurts like hell after surgery anyway, so how would you even know 😁:

If humans had just stayed on all fours during evolution, we wouldn't be dealing with these issues in the first place.

ha, ha, look at all this porn 🤣

The hemorrhoid lives forever—it’s just a matter of whether it’s gonna swell up and turn red.
Only way it goes away is in the hands of a damn good proctologist.

Honestly... it just pissed me off. Bought some ointment from Čeliković or whatever, and when I put it on my ass, I nearly jumped out of my skin. It burns like crazy. Don't recommend it, even if you bought it because they claim it’s some century-old hemorrhoid cream.

Joshua Barnes6 👍! Man, what a weird handle. Thanks for the tips on chairs, I mostly stick to the soft, comfy ones!😛
But like everything else, hard surfaces are always better!

So that old cream makes your ass burn for 100 years, huh? lol😁

The name actually translates to "French key," comes from an old car forum—guy stuff.

urbanjackal14: yeah, it's a tube, curved at the tip, about 2 inches long, and perforated on the sides so you gotta shove the whole thing in (RIP innocence 😁) so the cream spreads through all those little holes inside. If you don't push it all the way, half the cream just leaks out.
When you first twist it, squeeze the tube until the cream hits the tip, then grease up the whole tube with it. You won't regret it.

Today after taking a dump (wasn't at the Starbucks restroom in Chicago 😁), it hurt, but less. Used ice again. And weirdly enough, sitting feels better than lying down today. Put a cutting board on my chair to make it harder and everything was fine 👍

So, I ended up getting a colonoscopy because there was fresh blood in my stool, but it didn't even hurt back then. Now it hurts like hell, but the bleeding stopped. You can grab some Faktu over the counter, and it comes with an applicator too.
It’s impossible to guess how much ointment actually gets in there, so the suppositories are way better.
Yesterday I just put two ice cubes in a little Ziploc bag and chilled my ass while I was lying around watching TV.
Knock on wood it doesn't hurt today, but I haven't hit the bathroom yet, and that's usually when the pain starts kicking in.

2 Thomas Roberts9: let me know if it hurts when you go in for that deep colonoscopy from 2m!!! 😁

2 urbanjackal14: hemorrhoids can be external or internal, yours are definitely internal
welcome to the club

Took some Tylenol Forte my wife had lying around today, AND IT DOESN'T HURT! We'll see about tomorrow

First I slather on some Aquaphor from the drugstore and then try to wedge a plug in there. Just gotta find the right angle, maybe a little left or right, to make it hurt less.
Went to the bathroom at 7 this morning and now the pain is absolutely brutal...
Gonna try to barely eat anything today so I don't have to deal with the bathroom tomorrow. Maybe the day after will be better...

Btw, never sit on soft cushions. Stick to hard wood chairs because it pushes everything in better. On soft stuff, everything just slides out and you end up putting way too much pressure on your ass.

So I’ve been scrolling through pretty much all the posts here, mostly because my own backside started acting up too...
Last year, after seeing some blood, I had to get a rectoscopy and a colonoscopy. First part went down about 10 inches, then the second part went down two meters into the colon. Read that right—two meters!!!
Had to do a massive enema before they could even start. The exam didn't show anything major, just some internal hemorrhoids and a few small external ones that itch more than they hurt.
Since there wasn't any pain, I just accepted it was part of life. My bathroom routine is super regular every morning, and since wiping leaves me feeling gross, I just hop over the tub and rinse off with a lukewarm shower. Been doing that for over 20 years.
But a week ago, out of nowhere, this sharp, cutting pain hit me and sent me straight to hell. I've been using Faktu cream and now their suppositories. I also got some Dolocaine ointment, but that's just an anesthetic—it doesn't actually fix the damn thing. Plus, the pharmacist gave me some other ointment that I'm shoving in there as deep as I can, because honestly, it feels like even a toothpick would be too thick, let alone a finger.
Might be worth mentioning I developed this while out on disability after a car accident. Spent the whole time just sitting or lying around at home, zero physical activity, just TV and computer.
It hurts all day long, and it only settles down enough at night for me to actually get some sleep.
I skipped my BM this morning on purpose to see if it helps with the pain, so we'll see how tomorrow goes.
What actually works for me is light walking; staying seated or lying down is the worst.

Also, fair warning: a colonoscopy isn't painful because they're shoving a camera tube in your ass, it's because they pump you full of air to stretch out the intestinal folds so they can see everything. That air causes crazy cramps and stomach pain. If you can, the best way to help yourself is to just fart as much as possible during the procedure. Don't worry about being rude; the doctor who did mine literally told me to do it.
Basically, while you're lying on your side, rub your stomach with one hand and try to force those gas bubbles out—it really helps. After it was over, I hopped in my car and had to pull over five minutes later just so I could vent properly. 😁

Btw, anyone know a good proctologist in the San Francisco area? I might just go for surgery to get this crap over with once and for all.

Best way to convert DVD to DivX? in Software ·
Gonna jump in on this thread too

Grabbed some Seinfeld episodes off a torrent and they're all in RealMedia files. My VLC Media Player handles them just fine, but my standalone DVD player won't touch them. So I downloaded Handbrake to try and convert them to DivX, but the damn thing keeps hitting 90% and then throwing a "failed" error message right at the finish line...
Anyone got a fix? Is there a trick to this or maybe a better program that isn't a total pain to use?
