What did you guys think of Robin Hood (2010)? in Movies · May 13, 2010

I’m really looking for some actual feedback from anyone who’s already seen this—it’s easily one of those few Movies I’ve been genuinely anticipating.

Yesterday, some big-shot German critic was out there spinning his usual yarn, throwing around buzzwords like "epic," "visual spectacle," and "absolute must-watch," and so on... honestly, I’m just eager to sit down and watch it, and if it turns out to be anything more than just mediocre, I'll consider it a win. 😁

Anyway... I’m still pretty worried about our lack of fast breaks. It’s frustrating because we’ll pull off some incredible saves, but then we just can't capitalize on those easy transition points. Even though they seemed a bit off today, our wingers are solid—their conversion rate is actually pretty high

I haven't been tracking their recent stats closely—can't say I have—but I know how they played leading up to this. We'll see how it actually shakes out the day after tomorrow.😁

Well obviously, the Poles are good, but at the end of the day, the players need to have that specific mindset first.😁

I've been following the other matchup too, and the Icelanders play a pretty physical brand of defense, so this should be interesting.

From what I can see, the officiating throughout this whole tournament has been much stricter than in previous years—I highly doubt they'll suddenly flip the script in the last two days, though I certainly hope they do—because, frankly, tighter calls would actually work in our favor if we ended up facing the French.😁

And, even though it's beside the point right now, I think they're going to keep giving us trouble for another one or three tournaments—aside from Karabatic and Abalard, most of their roster is getting pretty old... so they're headed for a decline in a year or two.😍

I’ve got my doubts—honestly, I think they'll run into Karabach before they get any further than that.

But whatever, it doesn't really matter; I just hope to see them get absolutely slaughtered in the semifinals. 😍

Well, it's likely all three of those threads have devolved into mere chat rooms at this point. One is definitely just mindless chatter—I've seen enough to be sure of that 😉—as for the other two, I can't say for certain, but I suspect they suffer from the same rot because instead of shutting them down, they just moved them to the off-topic section. 🤷

It feels like the only actual problem here is that some people think it's acceptable to post under the bottom sections in the off-topic area. 😁

From where I’m sitting, the threads aren't actually gone—they’ve just been moved. I get why you’d be annoyed if your favorite discussions suddenly hit a dead end, but honestly, looking at it this way, I don't see what the big deal is.🤷
