What kind of exercises are you doing? Inward and outward foot rotations—basically circular movements with the feet... up and down... Is there anything else in your routine?
I figured I’d jump in here too... I broke a bone near my ankle about four months ago. Spent a month in a brace and a cast, then moved straight into rehab. Did five weeks of physical therapy—everything felt fine at first, but now I'm hitting a bit of a wall... My range of motion is decent—it isn't quite back to how the healthy leg feels, but it’s about where it was right when I got the cast off—but I still can't make any sudden movements. If I try to sprint or move too fast, the ligaments start pulling and the pain kicks in... I'm still working on the mobility, not every single day, just whenever I have a spare few minutes to focus on it... My therapist mentioned this could help, but I'm still holding out hope that there might be something else out there...
Does anyone have any experience with this or perhaps some advice?..

I mean, honestly, it still feels a bit like Placka when you're dealing with caskets from $1000, especially considering the person has already passed away 🤷
It feels like Placka whether you're buying a casket from $533 for a cremation too—if I remember the price of a basic, standard casket correctly. You wouldn't believe the profit margins on this stuff. And I'm not even talking about those 2:1 😉 margins... but yeah, you have to pay.
Can someone help me make sense of this? I just finished installing the software, but it won't actually launch... It keeps telling me I need to sign in as an administrator and then Run as administrator—even though I’m already logged into my admin account...
slyrider13 said:That really only applies to those specific cases where someone upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7—and even then, only if McAfee Total Protection was already sitting there on the Vista setup before the upgrade happened.
If you're doing a clean installation of Windows 7, you won't run into any of these issues...
Just a little heads-up from my side—based on past experiences, I always go for a completely clean install whenever I'm reinstalling Windows. I make sure to format all the drives every single time, so in my case, Windows 7 was a fresh install rather than an upgrade...
So, first things first—I need to vent about those silly questions like whether it supports Norton and all that... anyway, I installed Windows 7 on my niece's computer, headed home, and then set it up on mine in the middle of the night. As soon as I ran into a few hiccups, I hopped on here. Basically, I didn't really have the luxury of sitting down to figure out exactly how Windows 7 behaves... But, I stopped by my niece's place yesterday, and we tried using one of the solutions Windows 7 offers, and we performed an upgrade to McAfee Total Security, and it seems to be working fine . I can't give you a 100% guarantee, though, because right after the installation—well, the upgrade—and a quick restart, I had to head out. But from what I can tell, it's holding up. I was reading in Bug that Windows 7 might have some issues with certain antivirus programs, and I think I saw something mentioning that Windows 7 wouldn't even let AVG install. I'm not entirely sure, though... I haven't actually touched my own computer yet; in fact, I haven't even been back at it since I put Windows 7 on there. I'll keep you all posted once I get through installing all this software... everything from the basics like Microsoft Office, Ner, and WinRAR... to the heavier stuff like Corel, Photoshop, and Preps. I'll let you know if any of them act up. To be honest, I haven't caught up on all forty pages of discussion regarding Windows 7, so maybe it’s already been mentioned, but hey, if my updates help anyone out, that’s great...
Just following up on my previous post, when you click that "icon" that usually stands for Power, the computer just goes straight into Sleep mode. That's why I mentioned

It won't actually perform a full shutdown. Honestly, at this rate, my only option left is the classic old-school method—just hitting the power button! Does anyone have any advice to share? Thanks!
A classic point of confusion when jumping between Vista and Windows 7... You don't want to go to the Shut down button directly—instead, try clicking that little arrow in the bottom right corner of the menu... once you click that, the options should pop up, and you'll see where the Shut down option is located...
I'm really hoping that does the trick—because I've had to explain to pretty much everyone moving from Vista over to Windows 7 that the whole principle behind it works a bit differently now...
Well, I guess I learned everything the hard way... hehe

I’m talking about those little candy packs and the tiny figurines used to fill them up—you know, the ones with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck... I can't quite remember all the characters they had back then.
I actually spotted some at a Walmart earlier today.
I'm just going to copy one of my previous posts here, so I don't have to type everything out all over again...
So, basically, I’ve been dealing with pain in my lower abdomen, specifically on the right side, for 4 years now. And yes, you read that correctly—4 YEARS. The pain flares up whenever I push myself physically. To give you an idea of what I mean by "physical effort"... I spent 8 years working in the service industry—heavy trays, constant movement, that kind of thing. Honestly, I wasn't just crying; I was screaming from the pain while on shift. Thank God I had a decent boss who actually understood my suffering, so I could head home when I hit my limit, or if I didn't want to leave yet, at least duck into a storage room to curl up and cry in peace. Maybe I'm being a bit mild with the description, but "screaming" is honestly the most polite way I can put it.
I can't run, I can't walk for long periods, I can't even do a big grocery run at a supermarket like Walmart, or roll, or just walk more than maybe 50 yards at a time without the pain hitting me immediately. In my head, I know I *can* do those things, but I just know exactly what's coming next... It's safe to say I've become severely limited in what I can do. I usually drive to work, but my car broke down seven days ago, so I had to walk to my job for five days straight. It might sound dramatic, but believe me, it feels like you're in a coma when you know the pain is coming while you're stuck at work and there's nothing you can do about it.
Kidneys, Pap smears, blood work, urine tests, gallbladder, liver, spleen, appendix, endoscopies, dynamic scintigraphy, ultrasounds... And so many other tests, none of which ever managed to find anything.
Should I mention that I've tried taking seven different types of pills meant for spinal pain or kidney issues? I've lost count of how many standard painkillers I've gone through. The most ironic part is that nothing helps. NOTHING. When the pain starts, I can only retreat into my own little world and pray to God it stops soon (imagine how that feels while I'm working), and the pain never lasts "just" half an hour...
Every once in a while—but frequent enough—it starts while I'm sleeping. The pain wakes me up, and I'm just moaning in bed for hours, then I get up in the morning chronically sleep-deprived, still in pain, getting ready for work and praying it will let up.
Nobody knows what's wrong with me. I'm only 24, yet I feel like my life is slowly winding down because this has completely buried me, both mentally and physically.
I've lost hope—hope that I'll ever be okay again.
I would give anything just to be able to work, to be able to run, and to have the only pain I feel be muscle fiber soreness from a workout. For someone who has always been an athlete, I shouldn't even be allowed to move anymore. To me, that feels like pure murder. If you really want to destroy a person, take away the thing they love most.
That's what happens to me almost every single day, and I'm starting to yearn for an end to it all.
The tests are expensive—every single one. And I can't even pick up extra shifts to cover it (I have a decent salary, but it barely covers my basic living expenses, let alone medical bills and specialists).
I just wanted to say that you aren't alone in this. I drifted a little off topic...
Hi there, I’ve been browsing the forum a bit, but I can't seem to find any mention of this specific illness anywhere. We all know about TB, and we definitely know about pulmonary TB—but honestly, I had no idea until less than a year ago that renal TB even existed. I just went in for an exam, and I should be getting my results back soon. My doctor ordered the tests because there's blood in my urine, and we aren't quite sure what's causing it yet. He mentioned he wanted to rule out anything suspicious just to be safe. So, that's one of the symptoms... Has anyone here actually dealt with renal TB? Could someone maybe explain a bit more about what this involves, specifically regarding the symptoms...
Dr. Inga Vučković She used to have her practice over near the old downtown area, but she moved up to those new "smart homes" near the brewery in Midtown.
Since I saw her back when she was still practicing near my place, I actually have her old number—not the new one from the Midtown office.
I’m definitely one of those people with major dentist anxiety, but honestly, this woman completely changed things for me... I had a tooth that needed work and spent three grueling weeks—maybe even longer—dealing with it, but after just two visits to her, that fear finally vanished.
I can't recommend her enough. Unfortunately, I can't really go back to see her right now since she's in private practice and money has been a bit tight lately...
What do you mean by cutting while you're awake? In my case, they did the incision under local anesthesia—though they wouldn't let me watch (haha) To be honest, I didn't feel any pain... (even though I started sobbing at first when they were administering the anesthetic injection—I actually thought they were already cutting me because of the stinging sensation, so I got all paranoid and started crying 🙂), the only thing I felt during the actual incision wasn't pain, but just this weird sensation... almost like someone was touching my arm when it was so cold that I couldn't feel the contact at all. It wasn't painful, but it was pretty intense when I heard that sound, like someone using scissors to cut through paper (my tissue 🙂)
It was just the sound that was "painful," nothing else
I used to have those occasional flare-ups too, right up until this happened. Everything had been smooth sailing for about two years—total peace—but now it's back. Though, if I'm being honest, it feels like it might be starting to ease up just a little bit...
I’ve actually been dealing with this for quite a while now, though mine shows up in my groin area. The last time—well, technically the time before this recent flare-up—was about two years ago. It got so inflamed back then that I couldn't even wear tight pants without intense pain... it lasted for about a month.
I went to see my doctor, and she prescribed some antibiotics, which I took for a week. After that, the pain eased up a bit, but the lump (it was about 2x5 cm) just wouldn't shrink down.
So, she eventually referred me for surgery. They ended up cutting out that tissue under local anesthesia.
Did your doctor tell you what caused it? Maybe it was from wearing tight clothing? How long have you been treating this?
My doctor also suggested we try medication first—she didn't want to jump straight to surgery if I could recover otherwise—but it just didn't work.
It was such a rough experience... I had to take a week off work, and I could barely walk. Honestly, I was struggling to move at all, so every couple of days I’d just drive myself to the clinic for follow-ups.
