Is it really that much of a struggle? I didn't get that impression personally. Though, fair enough... I was picturing something a bit thicker, like some lightweight cardboard or maybe the material you'd find on a shoe box. 😁
@rustydrifter10/">@@rustydrifter10 - you running out of space on your hard drive? Or is your RAM getting maxed out? Lately, my PC has been crawling at like 100 MB speeds, and it’s making even my browser feel sluggish. I’m using SRWare Iron, which honestly runs faster than anything else mentioned here, including Chrome.
I need to run a quick defrag and clear out some junk just to get the thing moving again. 😁
If it helps at all, that slow browsing could also be due to a weak connection from your ISP. I'm with AT&T, and they seem to throttle my speed constantly. You should probably run a speed test to see what's actually going on.
Terry Wilson3 said:Mike! I’m not entirely sure what you're getting at—are you asking about a specific case brand or something else? I can't quite remember which brand it was... it's been such a long time.
briskbison41—at least he provides cold water. 😁 I don't know what you're trying to get at with that one-word post. If you have an actual question about hardware or something worth discussing, just say it. Otherwise, there's no point in cluttering the thread. I can't see any link here. You forgot to include it. You can check out the full project here. I'll be dropping more photos soon once I get this motherboard fixed up. I'm actually pretty happy with how this case turned out. Honestly, it looks a whole lot better now than it did when I first unboxed it.
I’m honestly starting to think I might just end up sketching some flames on my case myself. 😁 Whatever, I don't know, something just caught my eye and honestly, the whole thing seems kind of funny. 😁
@Mike - What kind of PC modding setup are you running these days? Are you planning on doing any PC modding to it, or what?
Yeah, I’m just sitting here trying to figure out what part of my last post was actually wrong. 😁 Honestly, who even gives a damn about this stuff anymore? 😁
rustydrifter10 said:Thanks. 🙂 Hopefully things get sorted out soon. 😁
Well, I guess hoping is all we can do now... 😁
When it comes to the sysadmins, we're just throwing ourselves into the lion's den on this 😁 thread
Matthew Johnson3 said:I didn't explain myself very well... I know 503/504 errors happen when there's heavy traffic... Anyway, here's the screenshot...
I haven't touched that thread since the latest update went live... usually happens with most topics after an update like this. All done, but still nothing showing up. 😢
Regarding this screenshot, that could easily be a 404 ('Not Found') error. That’s more likely an issue with your browser or your connection rather than the forum's actual server, since you see those errors on plenty of other sites too.
rustydrifter10 said:Maybe the forum will actually work properly by the end of the day, who knows... 😁
Doubtful. It's already starting to act up again. 😁
jadetrucker43 said:There are actually other ways to type those brackets if you don't want to do it the standard way. You can always use Alt Codes instead: just hit Alt-91 for the left bracket [ and Alt-93 for the right one ]. If you’re struggling to figure out how to use Alt Codes, here’s the deal: just make sure your NumLock is turned on, hold down the Alt key, and then punch in the specific code using the number pad on your keyboard.
Look, just hit Shift+Alt. That’ll toggle your keyboard over to the US layout. Once you do that, your Š key will act like [ and your Đ will be ]. 🙂
Oh, one more thing I should probably mention... if you hit Alt + F, you get [, and Alt + G gives you ]. That’s for an American keyboard layout.
Are you positive it isn't working? Try hitting the key again and then open up Paint. Once you have that open, look for the EDIT - pasta option at the top—just click that, and your image, like a desktop screenshot, should pop right into the editor.
Regarding that Insert key, try holding down Shift while you press it. That should toggle the function over to 'Print Screen'.
@rustydrifter10/">@@rustydrifter10 - honestly, hitting up a moderator PM isn't going to get you anywhere. This kind of stuff isn't really in their hands; it’s all on the System Admins who manage the backend of this forum. They actually rolled out an update recently, and if I remember correctly, they migrated the whole forum over to a more powerful server. It's performing a bit better than it used to, even if it still feels like it's glitching out occasionally. Still, it's an improvement over how things were. The issue will probably be sorted out soon enough.
Yeah, the non-linear timeline definitely gives off those vibes. 😁 True enough, Cage has started picking up much heavier roles that are turning into actual hits, which is a massive win for both the box office and his reputation as an actor. 😁 As for Molina, I have my doubts about him playing a "modern" villain, but he absolutely nailed Dr. Octopus. That character had this incredibly cold, detached energy 😁 and was just completely indifferent to everything happening around him. Regarding the overall tone being a bit pampered or polished—well, if you think about it, these are Wisney films. It’s pretty common for them to take a "serious" concept like this one and pivot it toward comedy.
Yeah, I’m with you regarding Cage. From what I can see, he seems to be leaning more and more into these fantasy and medieval roles lately. Given the subject matter, it was pretty much a given that Disney would be behind this one, but nowadays these types of films are increasingly focused on modern settings—basically blurring the lines between eras. You’ve got this guy from the modern day learning about magic, which is a pretty similar setup to what we saw in Percy Jackson and the Olympians. At the end of the day, you can mostly expect a fun movie packed with plenty of CGI... and of course, wizards. 😁
The forum rules apply equally to everyone here. Regarding that quote in English—honestly, I catch myself doing the same thing sometimes and nothing ever happens. 🤷
OT: It really depends on who you're talking about. There are certain people out there who binge too many action movies or horror flicks, and they start trying to play the villain in real life 🤷 which, more often than not, ends with them landing in prison and all that nonsense.
Christian Taylor3 said:I am absolutely not feeling this shitty gray color scheme. I'm sticking with the black background. Mods, don't take this the wrong way—but starting today, you guys are effectively invisible to me. 😁
VOICE OF CONSCIENCE (Christian Taylor3) You don't start a fight in a police station, dickhead.
😬
I guess you could say you have a sort of "ignore" list, but as far as mods go... 😁 Since you can't actually put them on an ignore list like any other user.
I tried doing that to someone about two years ago, but I couldn't make it work. 🙈
feraltrucker5 said:I appreciate the effort, but this is honestly one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. 🙏
This color palette reminds me of those old DOS programs from nearly 20 years ago. 😬
Aside from looking like DOS, it also looks like some old phpBB layout. 😁
